  • For our latest video we took a trip to Plymouth, England to pay a visit to Plymouth Gin. Master distiller Sean Harrison showed us around the 213 year-old facility where we gained some insight into the history, recipe and process that goes into producing the fine spirit. The oldest operating distillery in England, Plymouth has stayed true to their recipe throughout their long history, the guiding hand of each successive master distiller keeping the character alive by maintaining the flavors that define the liquor.

Got to say we had a great tour if the distillery a couple of years ago...very interesting and the samples weren't bad either!
Will be down in a few weeks for cocktails!!!!

I used to think that Tanquary was the world's best gin [Bombay Sapphire comes in second] until I tried Plymouth -- and, most recently, Plymouth Navy Strength. Both of them put the premium London Dry Gins in the shade. Long live Plymouth.

Can you get Navy Strength in America? Dying to try it, I love Plymouth!

I should add, however, that the new green bottle is a disaster. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the original bottle. Try poring the contents into a "gigger." Almost impossible to avoid spilling a few drops [they all add up over time] because of the wide neck of the bottle. I have kept the original bottles, so I re-pour the contents from the new to the old.

Don't like the green bottle either. The previous art-deco bottle is not only elegant, but it fits the character of the gin. Plymouth is the best gin for martinis in my opinion.
