Hello. Is it possible to soak the ingredients in raisin alcohol (for a few days) and then dilute them with water? And then distilled again in the pot with the ingredients?
Hello, thank you for your good videos, I also have a 120 liter device, the output of your device is very cool, my device heats up with the help of a city gas flame and I have never taken it above 84 degrees Celsius, my question is this How much is your original liquid water meter? I could never get more than about 16 liters with 50% alcohol from about 100 liters of wash with 1080 initial water meter, my device is very similar to yours, it has a distillation tower with a size of 3 inches Also, it is 60 cm long and has a copper helmet, but it does not have a deflector. I saw here that you did not use a deflator as well. In my country, selling alcohol is a crime and only we can make it for ourselves, do not hesitate to help me,
Once you create your own recipe, you will know, when for example you need to turn off one of the heaters, when spirit will start to leak, and so on. Once you create quality you will give your best to get constant quality.
I dont understand why you would start with %90 alcohol and add the herbs to that and then distill it, its already distilled, that is insane to distill alcohol, its already alcohol, why dont you add the herbs to the grain mash and then distill that?
Dear maxirater, 96 % ABV NGS is diluted to 30-50 % ABV depending on recipe, the herbs can be added and macerated over course of 2 days or distilled right away in the pot. When the herbs are in contact with alcohol they will give out aromas, tastes, essential oils and color. Because of the color and essential oils the distillation needs to happen, in order to get nice, balanced and clean spirt, popularly named gin. Herbs can be added to the grain mash giving it a bit of taste, but the low percentage of alcohol prevents optimal flavors and aromas to be extracted. According to international law and standard gin is a spirit made from NGS (neutral grain spirit), juniper and other herbs but it must be redistilled once more.

Thank you, we didn't understand the question. Can you please be more specific? Furnace is made from stainless still, and it has double wall where you heat a water to the boiling point after what the mash in pot is heated without possibility of burning. If you have any question, we are here to help.

Hello. Is it possible to soak the ingredients in raisin alcohol (for a few days) and then dilute them with water? And then distilled again in the pot with the ingredients?
Yes, you can do it, you only need to pay attention how log you would take ingredientsin the alcohol. Dilute it when you put ingredients.
