hello. for a 200 liter aquarium medium planted, twinstart 900sa light aprox 5200 lumens, also using co2 having over 25mg/l, with livestock 30 rasbora and 10 corydoras hastatus. 40 days old tank... using dennerle fertilizers (scapers green and npk booster) dosing 2.5ml per day each. at the moment but plants grow very very slow. something seems to keep them back from grow. having ~6,5 ph, 10gh, 6kh, no2 0, no3 - 18. was thinking to switch fertilisers to tropica. what fertilizers do you recommend ? Plant growth premium or plant growth specialised? thanks! amazing job on your tank.

Is your fixture made up of 4 30watt units joined together? I'm impressed how well these have done in your recent planted tank set up. Any idea wot the par at substrate is? My tank is 45 cm tall, 40cm from substrate to top of tank, 60cm long and 40cm wide. Would 2 30watt units be ok to give me enough light? I've had aquarays and finnex Ray leds but wasn't happy with them. Thanks.
You clean glass, pickup dead leaves, trim, but small work is done for you usualy (in my tank) by shrimps, some snails maybe and fish, not to mention that healthy plants do keep water clean and stable

I've not seen it on sale anywhere apart from the WAS MAS site and there's no prices. You have to email them to show your interest. Very odd. If it gives me results as it has with your tank I want one but I'm being cautious as I've only seen the fixture on one tank. Yours! Thanks for any information you can provide.

Edrolin, you need to achieve a good balance between nutrients/light/co2. It's not always easy but in time you should do it, if you keep reading and studying other people work.

Hideous! Why even grow these giant, bushy monstrosities underwater? It looks like someone decided to grow a hedge but, owing to poverty, sufficed with a collection of tall weeds randomly planted next to each other; done with barely any regard for appearance and with no regard to the fact of being underwater, other, of course, than to avoid the inconvenience in terrariums of having to wipe condensation off the glass. And somehow, this is a style people replicate on purpose! Good taste in music, though.
Probably $300 worth of plants where im from. not to mention $100 for all that good substrate. $200 or more for pressurized co2, $150 for enough light. Not to mention the few hundred for the tank in the first place. Around a grand
I'm Dutch but that doesn't mean i like the Dutch style. I think it's old fashioned, predictable and plants are simply grouped in lines next to each other. But i'm a big fan (and in love) of Congo Tetra's.

That is absolutely beautiful and must have costed a fortune. But how do you keep it from growing algae?
Is it a good idea to put a layer of gravel or sand on top of the soil so the plants are more firmly planted and soil doesn't get disturbed as easily?

You can see prices on Aquaeden site (www.aquaeden-shop.net). In Portugal and Spain this light is well known.

Nice tank , but would not really considder is a ¨Dutch¨ tank. It would need a bit more optical ¨Dept¨ and less straight lines fore that.

This would cost a fortune to set up and you'd be unlikely to find that many different plant species.
Why? Almost every aquarium store in Portugal have this plants and many more... and they're not very expensive.
