I agree with Grumpy. Altho the way ist mounted is "correct" gru spinning it bass akwards Dosen't truly matter. Second. Monstrum offers these bases in lower heights rivaling conventional rings.
@@cw2a thanks CW! I can't believe I never even thought to do that! Doh! I will check out Monstrum next month as I am broke from ammo getting this month 😄 🤣
The Monstrum cants are pretty good quality for the price. I don’t think I’d use them on a rifle that’s expected to perform to “way out there” distances. They tend to be a little oversized when the scope is just laid into the bottom although they do clamp down tight
@stevenwilkinson8373 I was looking at those, I should have got that instead!! I only go to 100 yards, so I think I will be good 👍 Going to look at the Monstrum again 😉 Rail first for sure 👍
@sherryengrav3370 do you know how stupid I feel? 🤣😂 haha, that never even crossed my mind. I don't know why 😕 Thanks to you and Grumpy for the info and bringing me out of my slump 😄 🤣
It shouldn't matter if the guide lug doesn't go all the way across it is only there, so you have a forward reference when tightening the rings to the rail. Seems odd to me, I thought for sure you were going to say the rail screws loosened up on you, I've had that happen to me even with thread lock but I have a bad habit of picking up and holding my rifles by the scope at matches.
@MnMarine1 same as what I thought. I checked all torque all the way down, checked the rail, and put the scope back on, and it was wiggling again. I think it slips on those partial rail nubs as it only wiggles to the right and on the front! It blew my mind, Mike. I will never buy a nubbed rail again for anything, I know that.
Got the first piece to my new build its a mdt rail and it attaches via pinching on the dovetail id rather it bolt on like it showed in the listing guess im gonna run it 🤷♂️
it looks like your using a weaver style rail, with pic rings. you should be a mdt or vortex rail that is a picatinni rail. not a weaver rail. also if your using a cant mount that has a picitini mount base. will not work on a weaver rail. that is your problem. it wiggles because of the rail. replace the rail with a picitini rail!!!!
I just ordered the CVLIFE rings. As you mentioned, they are identical to the Vortex rings that I just put on the Mark II and $40 less.
@jamesmelton818 great deal huh James? I think my issue is I have the wrong type rail for my rings 👀
Great job on the rings!!

The crazy Monstrum adjustable rings have two recoil lugs. Don't remember if they go all the way through, but there are two!😮😅❤❤❤
@@chrislang5659 how are those working???
Turn the base around, not the base the ring mount around and move it forward and it should give you the right eye relief

Was about to say same thing as check specs on the base could be weaver not pic or vis Vers
@@brendonbenson thanks Brendon!
That’s great you Caught that easy fix👍🏻💀👍🏻
@nopro5433 thanks bud!! 😊

@bfox87 that's how my CZ one is! It works amazing actually. What rifle you decide on?
Turn the precision one piece scope mount the other way…
@Grumpyseabee22 I feel so stupid! Haha, Grumpy, thank you, my friend!
I LOOVE the follow up video when you turned the mount around. Well done sir!

@@UltimateArms yeah I figured that out and will be replacing it. 😉
Never had a rail like this, so I learned some stuff that day lol
@@CountryRimfire keep that rail you never know when all you can get is a set of weaver rings. so it doesnt hurt to keep that rail!!!!
@UltimateArms oh yeah I definitely will. It was not cheap lol so it stays with me 😉
nice set up sucks theres some issues brother
@@mrsmel269 😊 Thanks.
I will get it worked out
The height looks good, do you prefer it lower?
@Jdelta22nc Yes, I like it just a bit lower. I will get it fixed up next month, hopefully 🙏
@@CountryRimfire Remember to re-zero the rifle your point of impact will change.
@@Jdelta22nc already done 😉
It was actually only off by 1/4 inch 👀 and I removed everything and reinstalled 😲
@@CountryRimfire Yes, remember when you are doing the challenges that 1/4 inch can throw you off target 🎯. 🖖🏽
@Jdelta22nc oh yeah for sure. I brought it back to almost dead center 😉
Sorry you hit issues.
@drpietrzak thanks Dale. I think I may get another rail and flip this Cantilever around until then.
