Now this is the sort of reporting that is most refreshing and encouraging to society. Kudos.

I'm happy for the whole flock of them. They didn't sit and focus on how to returned to a life of crime but instead they became a poster for others to be a better person of themselves and examples to a whole different world around them. 🎈🎈🎊🎊🎉🎉🎉👏👏.

That’s what I liked about working in a California prison. while I was a correctional officer I had a lot of inmates who were going to school who asked me questions about things I would help them study at night. I’ve worked at several other state prisons and I’ve noticed they don’t really have any school programs.
A lot of these guys just never got a chance in life.

      Neither did I.
I also have a ton of student loans. Any advice? If I can get to prison, will anybody pay those off and help me advance to my Doctoral?

As a prison psychologist it's one of the major rehabilitation programs we have. Great to see prison officers supporting them.

This is what incarceration should take more time aiming for: education reduces recidivism.

Yeah! Without loans! If I had only known...I would not be strapped w/ 90k in loans and I could go get my JD.
Should we tell our children or no?!? (Serious inquiries only).

While the rest of us pay for our education. Good for them. I hope they really value how fortunate they are. So many college students living in their cars.

Thank you for mentioning that. Although this is GOOD helping inmates get something so valuable like an education, I can't help but think what about the rest of us that never committed a crime, did the right thing to not get in trouble with the law but we're thousands of dollars in debt with our student loans because our education was NOT free, something to think about.....🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
