True but captain still's lacking in solo hard content. My champ has way more survivability than my captain which is stupid imo. And they supposedly fixed the class lol.
I'm new to Lotro and im still deciding between Warden and Champion. The solo ability and complexity of the Warden seems like it would have good longevity, but the Champ just seems like pure fun.
And you are exactly right on both of those, champion is literally just pure fun. But warden is just enjoyable because of the ability to solo a lot along with the skill curve!
Sadly no real big update on EoA, just still test for bugs and waiting for the devs to keep working on fixing them. And very nice a burg and LM I like it. The classes that are always a must have in higher difficulties!
It's possible I believe to get armor that's similar, the shield would be the difficult one to find a full matching. There's so much cosmetics in the game that you can play with to make so many sets it's crazy!
Captain was my first love. Of all the classes currently available, I have played all but the Beorning, Brawler, and Guardian. I have enjoyed every class I've played, but, Captain and Warden are my personal favorites. Minstrel is a close second.
I just play Brawler because some abilities are just so smooth and satisfying to cast - like smack down or the headbutt thing, just love when a little dwarf smacks down massive trolls with his Fists lol And on Treebeard - Deadly+ its quiet fun actually, you can go full glass Cannon or a bit tanky slower build! Anyway cool vid, appreciate your content and love for lotro :)
I can get that, the animations/abilities do feel really smooth and not clunky in any way. Who knows when I get back into my brawler I could realize that I actually really enjoy it. I think I need to just give it more time. Definitely think it could be a really cool class for the legendary servers and the Deadly + I very much appreciate the comment!! Thank you!!
They NEED to fix warden tanking. The Warden I played through Mines and it was when they really tore down their tanking that I lost interest in the game entirely.
LOTRO is my first MMORPG to be played and I chose Warden for some reason and I named him "Eowmir"! So I guess I picked the most fun class in MMORPG history
Hahahah to some people hate the warden because it's not easy to play, the gambit system can be challenging. But for that reason is why I love it and because it's so unique!
In my short experience in LotRO, as a Burglar-main, no less, this is like..the only MMORPG I've ever played where the "rogue" class is one of the most unpopular classes. Completely opposite in WoW.
Yeah I would agree with that, I think what probably makes rogue more popular in wow is when the game first came out that open world pvp made the rogue the goat at ganking and messing with people. That's just what I would think, it was also very dangerous in pvp when it was someone who knew how to play it well!
Should do one for pvp if you have played it. It's largely why burg was my favorite class. Really depends not only on your preferences but how you play. Eg I loved playing LM with a buddy or two but didn't like soloing much. I bet more group -oriented classes would feel that way, and damage dealers wouldn't feel as much of a difference
I would agree on that, it depends on what you're doing that will bring more enjoyment out of it. I do have a burg slowly getting there and certainly think it would be a lot of fun in PVP and an LM would actually be a lot of fun in group play I feel like!
if you look at how unique some classes are you will set Beorning Warden and Lore Master on S tier because every mmo has a burglar, thief what ever, every mmo has the typical 9 to 5 hunter every game has the 9 to 5 healer. Maybe a alot of players just look at dps and sustain of a class and rate it as the best class so far. It is really hard to say which is the best class if you messure it by own XP. People should try to rate classes by their unique gameplay and style. If you are looking for 9 to 5 classes dont play lotro.
Agreed!! lotro has some of the better unique classes compared to many other mmos. The captain, Browning, warden and loremaster are awesome for that reason!! This was mostly ranking based on personal experience of playing each class. Maybe I need to make another video but based on the uniqueness of the class 😏
dang man sorry I've been super busy with work and have taken a break from lotro. I'm going to be getting into Echoes of Angmar here in two weeks once the new beta even is live
The "best" in terms of strenght in max level PvE Group content? If so, your list is pretty outdated. Champion plays no role in T3+ Hiddenhoard, Burglar is a must have and minstrel is the most used healer. Hunter is the main DD while Warden is only (if even) used as enabler for the hunters. In case your list is about fun or leveling experience, then everything is subjective to each players priorities.
No this is not in terms of content pushing. Terms of just preference and fun. Give an outlook of my favorite ones and opening it up in the comments of people's perspectives and what they like playing.
Video was nice, but making rating of classes if you havent played them all through,is kind of eating away of the believability. And there was multiple classes which was just played out of starting levels.
I have a 140 champ, 130 captain, 119 guardian, 110 burglar, 60 warden, 41 Brawler, 30 Beorning, 42 LM, 25 hunter, 10 Minstrel. You are correct in the subject some classes I ranked low are ones I may have not played that much but it comes down to my preference and playstyle which this video is all about. I'm just expressing my feeling on favorite class to my opinion which is subjective and in no way putting it out as objective. Hopefully that clarifies a little. I'm not trying to tell anyone what their favorite class SHOULD be. Only what I've enjoyed based on my playstyle in MMOs
You gave reminder of that multiple times,so that wasnt an issue and said multiple times that some classes werent played that much. But it ate lots of of interest out of video, because you had clearly played only through those classes which you really enjoyed, those flew directly onto S class and played only little those classes which you didnt like that much. The overall introduction of those classes were nice which you had played alot,.it was fun to hear the opinions about that, but these classes which you had played only little? Well intro for those classes were pretty thin. Without the rating system, like "my tale in lotro in brandywine" kind of video. Where you make introduction for lotro gaming this would have been really great, but as a rating video for best to worst class? Nah you cant do that if you havent played every class through. I would have liked to hear yiur characters adventures in brandywine and how you got different kind of characters leveled up and which were pros and cons of these classes which you used.
@@pikkumika9960 lol it's subjective video so I can play each class as much as I like and talk about them how I like just like you can. If I was being objective and trying to tell you the best class for the best solo, group, or play style then that's what I would have stated if that was the case. Completely subjective, you're blowing it way out of context then it's completely necessary. I'm not here making a video to purposely bother people, that's completely out of any intent. It's to share a perspective which is completely subjective again. The reason I never played any of those classes any further is because I personally did not enjoy it. I'm not sure what else to add for you to understand that what I'm telling you or stating in the video isn't in any way factual on any basis.
Champ and Hunter being the simplest classes it definitely makes sense, alot of people love it!!!
Exactly!!
Good video. I want to try a blue line burgler
Blue line would definitely be fun!
I like how no class was below C, one reason I love LOTRO, all are fun in their own way
Exactly I've played each one enough to still think they are all enjoyable in their own way. One thing I've always loved about lotro is the classes!
captain is so OP filling three roles in a group Support/Healer/Tank which is crazy to me lol
It is crazy, and I seriously love it! Personally lol 🤣 When I think of a captain character I think of Boromir or Aragorn and both are badasses haha
😮😮😮😮 you’re right, never thought of the Captain that way. I just liked that I had an NPC follow me around lol😂

The biggest challenge with the Warden currently are the lag spikes. 🤕

Warden tank buff coming. Best class ever, so far. Agree 100%. Want to say: the best class from all mmo's I have played in my life.
I'm super pumped for the update!!
They NEED to fix warden tanking. The Warden I played through Mines and it was when they really tore down their tanking that I lost interest in the game entirely.
