Its not actually less expensive than a WRX. You can get a WRX for 32k, a mazda3 2.5t is around 36k. I'm a Mazda fanboy but the WRX does have a few things that weigh in its favor including base price.

Use ron 98 or 100. down size your wheels to 16", use michelin sport tyres4. checkout the 0to100 again. And the fast cornering without much power loss.

If youre fine with a car thats slower by modern standards (~7 seconds 0-60), stepping down to the NA 2.5 can get you a FWD manual thats the lightest of the bunch and comes mandatory with all the premium options minus the 360 camera. I love mine and any of these cars are good tools for learning how to drive a fwd/awd car near or at the limit, as well as being one of the best commuters you can buy!

Good review, saw the link on the M3R Facebook page. I have a '24 3 sedan, AWD/Turbo in Soul Red. That color IS a reason I got the car! (Special ordered!) I'll be taking the High Performance course at Mid Ohio next month. I've done track days there in other cars, and I'm looking forward to getting this one on the course! The trunk in the sedan is HUGE, I can fit a 6' x 3' folding table in it (3' sq.) without putting the seats down.

Thank you! Yeah, I’m really interested to see how it behaves on a track. It was really really hard to tell the limits on the street especially because it was raining as well.

@@LowBoostFilms I'm keeping mine all-stock to do a "shakedown" at the class. Then we'll start considering upgrades. The stock tires seem to grip fairly well in the dry, we'll see how they do through "Madness!" muwahaahaaa!

The WRX is a better driving car with more potential if you are serious about performance. But if you want a goyslop mobile to commute to work with if you're a normie, I suppose the mazda will do

If either company made a turbo awd hatchback with a manual to me that would be the clear winner. But you can’t get that combo anymore :/

WRX has a dogshit interior and there are a thousand of them at every car meet you go to which just makes them boring.

@@FSAPOJake boring unlike your cozy cute Mazda commuter? Get real. All current Mazda fans have and always return to is a nice interior. Maybe just give up on cars if that’s what you’re looking for in one and go the suburban mom suv route it you care about interiors that much

@@SoulEraser000 I know WRX owners think otherwise, but your WRX is not an expensive supercar and it's not going to turn heads unless it has a loud exhaust and is annoying everyone around you. Sorry to burst your bubble.
