I have at least 2 WD2502ABYS 250GB Enterprise drives in my BOINC farm as boot drives with around 100K hours and a WD1002FBYS 1TB Enterprise drive with 108K perfect SMART, low power cycle counts. I bought 40+ 16TB Exos drives for my Chia farm about a year ago from eBay cheap, 0 zeroes except 1 DOAish. Repurposing to solve a problem! It's interesting Backblaze thinks a 60TB SSD uses more power than spinning rust? Why can't high-end SSDs properly sip power when not chugging? Maybe controller needs to be developed that can sleep certain sections (cores?) maybe controllers right now are like old school GPUs that guzzle all the time although SATA 3 SSDs r cool 2 the touch when idle but not high-end..
