It should be noted that the four young men here are not the Inklings. They did have a name: Tea Club and Barrovian Society (TCBS).

Ah interesting, I wasn't aware of TCBS. I only knew of the Inklings and did assume the group on screen was that. It's nice to get a corrective comment like this in a civilized manor. People can be rude online lol. Appreciated John Lambert.

@@JohnnyLREACTS Well, if you want me to call you a "moron" for getting wrong, I can. :-)
      Seriously, no problem! :-)
I am excited about this movie. Just as a side, there is a significance about his love interest Edith who he does later marry in the scene where Edith is dancing.
The scene in Lord of the Rings where Aragorn and the four Hobbits are making their way to Rivendell, Aragorn is singing a song.
Frodo asks him about it and the song is about a mortal Man (Beren) and Elf Maiden (Luthien). Part of the Luthien/Beren story is Beren fell in love with Luthien when watching her dance.
When Edith died, Tolkien had "Luthien" inscribed on her tombstone. So, this is one reason why the scene of Lily Collins dancing is kind of important.

This movie looks pretty good, the visuals looks stunning (especially for the war sequences) and Hoult looks like he's giving a good performance too. The one thing I feel conflicted on is Tolkien himself probably wouldn't approve of the film (even though the same can be said for the original trilogy and I wouldn't want those films to be taken away from us), but I think this movie went straight into production as soon as the Tolkien estate lost the rights to withholding a film like this being made. Tolkien probably wouldn't have wanted a whole biopic about him, the Bilbo Baggins life of living in a small town with close friends is the life he liked to live too. That said, it doesn't stop others from being inspired by him or his story, and this film looks tastefully done and really well made actually. Great reaction to a great trailer tbh

Well said Jorgino. Yes I feel your comment about how he preferred to live his life and the parallels with the Bilbo Baggins story are probably right. But at least from what I am seeing from the trailer, their intent is to honour him and tell his story with class. I am reminded of how much I enjoyed "The Man Who Invented Christmas" actually when I see this trailer. How they told the story of Charles Dickens writing and creating his story. It was so beautifully done and made the stories he created more whole. I hope that is the result here but we can only speculate at this stage.
