    nice, it would be usefull, a measurement of the offset of the caliper, from the carrier to external pistons, to see the fitment of the wheels.
    the caliper seems to be really big, i had 18" type csl wheels in non M had a lot clearance stock, but i think the caliper will hit.

    Useful info, thanks. What's the pedal travel like after and what MC are you using, OEM if so which model?
    Also, a bit confused about the T5 disc spec. The E36 uses a CB of 72.5 and the T5 disc spec is CB of 76mm, so the comment about enlarging the T5 CB is confusing without sharing the part number or specs of the exact 340mm disc you are using in your application.

    I've been looking for a brake upgrade for my '03 330i ZHP. My biggest concern is heat. The temperatures where I live reach 46C to 49C in the summer. I have a bolt-on Hawks kit on the car now but during the summer, my brakes can get fatigued very quickly still. I feel like rotors that can dissipate that heat as quickly as possible would be the way to go for me but I'm not sure how to tell which ones would do the best job at that.

    I know people using T5 discs and it’s fine for them but when you track with proper aggressive pads these discs cook really fast

      G-class isnt ideal because the bolt pattern is 130mm.
      Camaro is a nice option but I don't think 34mm thick rotor can fit inside F calipers, they are designed for 30mm, 32mm is really the limit and you still need to modify the centre bore, but all that asside, I think it's possible to make it work.
      alternatively, I am working on prodising rotor spacers to use f series 370mm rotors.

      I'm just not quite understanding why we would wanna run a thicker disc/rotor instead of using what the caliper was meant to run.
      I'm assuming the 2MM schisms are meant to space out the rotor from the hub so it can sit centered between the pads

    • @vysgarage
      @vysgarage  8 месяцев назад

      @@FailofWar127 2mm shims are used to space out the hub on e46 m3 only, Caliper washers are there to space out Caliper on non-m models, not the rotor.
      The reason to use those rotors is that they are the only ones that work on e36/e46. You need to take into account hat/bell depth, rotor diameter, width, pad swept height etc.
      If you’d like to suggest 340x30 rotors that would fit, I will gladly try them 👍🏻
