    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this video tutorial we will study and understand the concept of Inheritance in C++. We will see why wee need inheritance in c++, how to perform inheritance programming.
    We will also go through the different types of inheritance in c++ which are as follows -
    Single level inheritance
    Multilevel inheritance
    Multiple Inheritance
    Hierarchial Inheritance
    Hybrid Inheritance.
    We wil also see how inheritance can be performed in different modes, tha is public, private and protected and their differences.
    Lastly we will see a basic inheritance in c++ program example code to see how it works in practicality.
    Inheritance allows us to define a class in terms of (from another) another class.
    Provides REUSABILITY and MAINTAINABLITY of CODE.
    The idea of inheritance implements the IS-A relationship. For example, mammal IS-A animal, dog IS-A mammal hence dog IS-A animal as well and so on.
    The class from which the new class inherits properties (data members and member functions) is called BASE CLASS and the new created class is called DERIVED CLASS.
    Syntax - class derived-class: access-specifier base-class
    {
    // data members and member functions of derived class
    }

      Hi tanmay ..please reply
      When derived class object is going to be created how many bytes of memory will be allocated?? When we create a derived class object ,then base class subobject will also be created?? You said private data members are not accessible if we publically inheriting but my teacher used this..
      Salesperson( short h,short r,short s): Employee( h,r)
      Where above is constructor..h- hour & r-rate is private member of base class i.e.employee
      And only sales is private members of derived class i.e.salesperson
      Plz help🙏

    This video cleared it all up for me.
    I was always wondering why I couldn't get a sub class to inherit values, never thought that it was only able to get variables and member functions.
    It's kind of a bummer.
    Inheritance is only cataloguing everything.

      Also maybe there's lack of understanding between you and your teacher or the teaching style is different. However I would want to say that, hope you don't have the feeling of hate for the teachers who you think you don't understand well from. Cause even they're humans and trying their best to help educate. Maybe they're style is different and not suiting you but still hope you understand that 😊✌️

    Are protected data members accessible outside of the class ?

    Why dont you try to number these tutorias so its easier to follow. Just add "Inheritance tutorial #1" or something at the end. Or you could make playlist and put them in order. Just a friendly suggestion from a regular viewer :)

    you have done a mistake in the 2nd line of the 2nd chart(of the protected access) which may cause confusion
    just like the way it did to me
    there u have written the same line "own class" which should be "derived class"

      Oh that's great buddy. You are doing a noble job of spreading your knowledge 😊😎
      And sure I'll definitely help you in what ever doubts you have about teaching. ✌🏻
      You can send me a mail at simplesnippetsinfo@gmail.com or we can communicate via our Instagram profile - instagram.com/simplesnippets
      One very basic tip I can give you right now is, since you your students personally you can always keep taking their feedback and then you can change your style of teaching if students are not following. Student feedback is very important. 😊✌🏻

    excuse me sir! if WE HAVE FUNCTION overriding like this..
    #include
    using namespace std;
    class Parent
    {
    public:
    void output()
    {
    cout

    • @SimpleSnippets
      @SimpleSnippets  6 лет назад +1

      I dont think dynamically you can make child class object to call parent class function. however you can achieve that at compile time. Here's how -
      #include
      using namespace std;
      class Parent
      {
      public:
      void output()
      {
      cout
