My wife and I go to NOLA every year if possible and Mr Ed’s in the Quarter has been our go to spot for the charbroiled oysters but we are looking forward to trying Dragos next summer when we visit.The city has grown on us and we have a great time whenever we visit.Enjoyed your post

My wife and I go to NOLA once or twice a year but we have never tried Dragos before!! When we go back it will be the first place we visit since you have recommended it so highly. I’m new to your channel but I have liked and subscribed now.

There were so many choices, but we came to really try those grilled Oysters and they were excellent. Great Smokey taste. Very fresh. We hope you have a great experience. I went to Drago’s (the one adjoining the Hilton Riverside) a few weeks ago and was disappointed.
Had high expectations based on the many YT reviews.
Charbroiled oysters were SO SALTY! No need for being excessively salty, it overwhelms the flavor.
I had half a dozen and my friends at the next table concurred about the saltiness. And the French bread was nothing special.
Also had crawfish etouffee and shrimp pasta, both were also too salty.
Service was meh - confusion about where to seat us and the waitress never reappeared to check on us or refill our water glasses, until the check was presented.
Fortunately our trip was salvaged by a first class experience at Dooky Chase, including chatting with the current owners who went from table to table to meet their customers.
So sorry to hear this. Glad you guys were able to have a great experience at Dooky Chase. We’re adding that to our list. We’ve been wanting to go there also. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank for sharing your experiences ❤️🚢 Safe travels.
Had them for the first time about 6 months ago... Life changing 😮. They actually sell Dragos charbroiling sauce at Walmart so you can do it at home. I have a bottle in the fridge right now!!!

Dragos has the best oysters in Louisiana in my opinion. We've tried and tried to copy their chargrilled oyster recipe and cant too the real deal. They sell their butter and cheese blend on their website for anyone thats interested.
