Profile:
Utah Saints are a electronic band based in Leeds, England (originally formed 1990 in Harrogate, North Yorkshire).
The band had a string of hit singles in the British pop charts in the 1990s,
and were notable for their extensive use of sampling technology - in particular,
their practice of manipulating samples from mainstream pop and rock songs and combining them with contrasting dance beats.
Utah Saints have also gained a certain notoriety for the long gap between releases - their follow-up,
Two (2000), came eight years after their debut (1992).

Still one of my favourite albums. 👍
My friend turned me onto these guys - when we were in highschool!!! That was 1991, and I was able to buy their shorter EP on cassette!!
That one had an earlier version of Trance Atlantic Glide on it with whale calls thru the song.... I'm actually a bit partial to that version.
I bought this full-length version album on cassette later, probably 93 or 94....
I graduated in 1995, and I'd give nearly anything to go back in time again when those days were full of promise and hope.
If these guys are still alive and jamming, I'd ❤ ❤ ❤ to see them live, finally!!!!!!!!
Hi you to.. I mixed trancevatlantic glide into this in late 91. On a radio program on Wtsus 100 watt fm KWTS
@colbypaul7749 Thanks for the amazing jams! They fed some really great memories back in the day. Where's that Hot Tub Time Machine at, anyway?? Somebody, take me back!!!
I drove down the autobahn at high speed to this album with my boyfriend, first time I'd driven abroad, on the way to Italy to climb the Via Ferrata for my 40th birthday. On the way back he proposed to me in Bruges, that was over 3 years ago and we're still very happily married. Good memories!
wow. what a memory!
Haha damn you got some story huh
which was nice
I replied to you with my own Utah Saints/ love of my life story but I posted it on the wrong thread.
Ooops.
I'm old. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
(Alcohol is bad for your brain kids!!!!)
It's still here and easy enough to find, if you are interested.
Otherwise....
Have a cracking day!
Nice
I was 20 and in college when this came out. It will forever remind me of being that age.
Ahhh the 90s... Crap beer, good drugs and feeling like anything is possible!
Good times 😊
OMG, Soooooo True! ♥
The best times!
Haha you said it
Utah Saints!!!! celé album miluju!!! střední škola, žádné starosti, pohoda, díky!!!
Still love this album years later - good sampling is an art form
I always like finding out what samples they use in rap to then find a good song I didn't know existed 🤷♂️
I just love it.
So much fun to dance to.
Music snobs dismissed it at the time.
They were wrong
Saw Utah Saints at uni in Liverpool 30yrs ago!!
Father of my four children has recently conceded that this albulm is excellent.
He never had time to hear it back then.
Very different but equally true story.
49 mins in and I feel the need to thank the uploader again.
Ta xx
My Best road trip album now, just as much as it was back almost 30 years ago! Gen X best time to grow up in 100%
Reminds me of better times.

Ahh the memories of math early twenties rush forth as every track rolls out my cell phones speaker
Big Up The Saints Tim And Jez Respect !
I installed a sound system in a club in Harrogate specifically for Tim, if he wasn't playing on a specific night people just wouldn't come in.
25:00 the freshest movies i everseen like walking on air!
Strong Welsh accent
Cant Touch This.... :).. or i'd be Hammered
I was having a quiet pint ..

Classic one of my all time Favourites of all time
Thanks for that! Somehow missed it first time around UTAH SAINTS!!
Thank you for posting this! I love Utah Saints!
This will get you house clean. Potentially.
Nostalgia running through my veins
I always got an industrial vibe from these guys. I know most people consider this rave music, but it kind of fits that weird in between space for me. Similar to Lords of Acid.
Love
lovin it!!
NO ADS?!! Nice one bro..:+
❤..open your mind..❤❤
This is soooo good!!
coś w tym jest, wróciłem tu by znowu posłuchać:-)
Best electronica album of all time
One of the best gigs I’ve ever been too and I’ve been to many
I love how the snare drum in Trance Atlantic Glide is sampled from Kraftwerk's Trance Europe Express =D
New Gold Dream - top cover of the Simple Minds song
Track # 7, Kinetic Synthetic: they were doing Florida breaks before Florida was even doing Florida breaks.
Still waiting for mr mathers to visit
I think we are going into a raving society.
❤️❤️❤️MARAVILHOSO ❤️❤️❤️
30:50 - I Want You with Slayer! Best!
today they are as old as beatles were in 1992
WOW!!
No wonder I have such nostalgic love of this
Awesome
@4:30 "What Can You Do for Me" by Utah Saints sampled Kiss's "Detroit Rock City (Alive II)". Paul Stanley had been recorded shouting to the live audience, “You Wanted the Best! You Got the Best! The Hottest Band in the World!"
This album was 2nd release in UK 1993, the first release in US 1992
fuck yeah!
I "vividly remember" the Kate Bush remix. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
the depressing part is that i'm only actually listening to about 2/3rds of the music because i just don't have the equipment to replicate everything in the track. my IEMs can't get here soon enough.
This album always elevates my mood & mind. My CD is purple and only has 10 tracks (there's no Believe In Me or the 11th track's version of What Can You Do For Me). I think even New Golden Dream sounds a little different, specifically the vocals are clearer on this. I must have the US version or else this is more recent reissue???
I had on cassette
Hey bro you coming back to strikes again was good night catching up again god miss the old days plus I need your signature again I f ck Ed up had new tattoo on that arm when went to USA few months after gig in 2013 and then realised I needed you to do on other arm now lmfao and lol at running man I forgot video for that much love bro and get to strikes again even if it’s just to catch up again manic Mel 😎😎😎😎❤️
Much better than Utah Jazz!!!😆
KMFDM also sampled 🤘Slayer🤘 with fantastic results.
The new hockey team needs to be called the “Utah Saints”.
This is one of the few bands on par with KLF
*cough* better than KLF ;)
WERE RAVING -
Fuck me, this is the great old school :-)
ахуительные темы
I swear “What Can You Do For Me” was from a movie.
Did this album make bush snr go to war?
Szkoda że nie grają w dzisiejszych czasach...
Do you have the track list?
