Advice/tip: to lever the full-length pole into vertical position just put a heavy breeze-block on the ground about a metre or two ahead of the 'target' high branches above - then like a pole-vaulter place the base of the long pole against the breeze block and you can then push the pole against the breeze-block to lever/pivot it up into the air to a vertical position and a little further to rest on the target branch. I use this trick with very tall heavy ladders too - but with not just one but 2-3 breeze-blocks placed in front of the ladder's base.. Paul G
Very informative video. I bought one of these today and wanted to see this manual pole saw verses the 5 meter, 2-stroke gasoline pole saw, which at full length is near impossible to cut anything safely because of it's weight. I'm a strong guy, but this things is fatiguing. I wish had bought this manual cutter first. Btw, reading some of the other comments saying you should have cut a branch at full length and recorded it, just shows peoples lack of imagination and experience with day to day life. We really did not need to see this, lol. Thanks for this video as it has put my mind at ease that I made the right purchase. Subbed.👍
Good Job! I really enjoy your product reviews; it saves us buying 3 or 4 pole saws until we find one that works. Could you please do an updated review on the battery operated zero-turn you reviewed last season? How are the batteries holding up?
I can do that update right here. It will barely mow 1 yard now. Don't buy the lead acid battery version. We're contemplating doing the lithium conversion.
So the video trick-sped up 3-4x reality and you fail to tell us how long it really took to cut that one branch AND you failed to even try and cut a single branch with the full extension!! Like most pole saw videos the tester gives very little information, speeds up the video during cutting etc Paul G
Ok, well, it's a manual saw so it takes forever. The timelapse footage is 4x. So multiply what you see by 4. And yes, I failed to cut even one branch at full extension, and I do think that most people would also fail at that length. It is too long. But at the shorter lengths it is a nice and well built manual pole saw.

Yes, it's actually a really good saw when you use it at a reasonable length.
I have a pole saw plus lopper can't remember the name of it hopefully the one that you have is much stiffer than the one that I have

Thank you so much. I know now this is a good saw, and perhaps the 6m extension one is more suitable for me. @@Something2LookAt

It looks very cheap , the more poles it gets , the difficult to cuts almost fall apart
