What I find funny is people are worried about the zinc and phos ruin the emissions system but it's ok to burn oil and have oil blow by that's clogging the emissions system way before the zinc will damage anything.
Curious as to the amount of Synerlec in HPS vs HMX. And is there a dynamic where more is better? Also, why isn’t it in a Dexos product given the major strains on small turbo engines?
a. There is about 5% more Synerlec in HPS vs HMX, but that is the closest that they are similar. HPS is built on a much more robust additive package, and it does offer a higher level of performance and protection for all engines compared to HMX. b. Because of chemistry restrictions associated with the dexos1 spec and the API/ILSAC licenses, we cannot put Synerlec into the licensed oils because it would exceed the overall chemistry limits for these approvals.

HMX 5w30 made a substantial difference in the amount of valve train noise in my old 08 F150 5.4 4x4 with 249,000 miles. Amazing stuff! 👍👍😎

I bought 6 quarts of 10w40 HPS for my 1970 Buick 350 flat tappet today. We shall see (fingers crossed)
