@@cwcsda thanks so much next time i visit new york i will visit God willing
@@cwcsda 1. If every man from Adam to Moses kept the Sabbath, why is the Hebrew word for the weekly Sabbath found in the ten commandments, never found in the book of Genesis? Why is no one before Moses ever being told to keep the Sabbath. Why are there no examples of anyone keeping the Sabbath?
2. Why were the Patriarchs never instructed about he Sabbath, but were instructed regarding: offerings: Gen 4:3-4, Altars Gen 8:20, Priests: Gen 14:18, Tithes: Gen 14:20, Circumcision: Gen 17:10, Marriage: Gen 2:24 & Gen 34:9. Why would God leave out the "all important" Sabbath command?
3. If the fact that God wrote the 10 commandments on stone proves they are forever, then whatever happened to the two stone tablets that God gave Adam at the beginning of time? Why is Moses the first one to see a stone tablet written by the finger of God?
4. Why is the weekly Sabbath commandment never quoted in the New Testament?
5. Why is the Sabbath the only one of the ten commandments that are said to be "throughout your generations", the usual phrase that indicates it was a temporary ceremonial law only for the Jews?
6. Why is there no example of exclusively Christians coming together on the Sabbath day as a church or prayer meeting after the resurrection of Christ?
7. Why is there no command in the New Testament for Christians to keep the Sabbath holy?
8. While Paul taught in the synagogues up to 84 times, why does the Bible never say he kept the sabbath?
9. If Paul's action of preaching to non-believers 84 times in the book of Acts on the Sabbath make him a Sabbath keeper, is a Seventh-day Adventist pastor a Sunday keeper if we invite him for 84 Sundays in a row to teach us about God's word?
10. How could Adam, Noah and Abraham keep the Sabbath, when Deuteronomy 5:2-4 says that the 10 commandment covenant (see was "not made with any of the fathers of Israel who lived before Moses."
11. If the Sabbath was intended for all people, both Jew and Gentile, then why does Exodus 31:16-17 state that the Sabbath was a sign between God and the "Children of Israel" instead of clarifying that it should be kept by all people of all nations for all time?
12. Why is the Sabbath never mentioned in the Book of Job? The title character of this book is said to be the most righteous and religious man that ever lived (next to Jesus), but with that being the case, how come his story is completely void of any reference to the Sabbath or any other law/restriction given by Moses?
13. If breaking the Sabbath was punishable by death in the Old Testament (Exodus 31:14 & 35:2), why is it not condemned in any way, shape, or form in the New Testament? Various passages in the New Testament list numerous types of sinners who will not inherit the kingdom (see 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Timothy 1:9-10, and Revelation 21:8 & 22:15), but none of those lists ever mention Sabbath-breakers. Why is that?
Brother Knight, I enjoy your sermons, however something you stated in this sermon was not Biblically correct, Jesus Did in fact tell the lame man"sin no more"..---John 5:14 KJV,our beliefs as should all churches be is to verify what is said with the Bible.
I really love the sermon this man of God may almighty add u more days to tell the truth be blessed....
Is this an SDA minister why does he have a ring on his finger?
The church allows SDA ministers to wear wedding rings.
SDAs wear wedding rings
Because he is married🤷🏾
At 5:55 You mentioned standing to read the scripture reading is to show honor to the word of God,is this really showing honor and reverence to God? What about the Pastor/Guest Speaker standing(not kneeling) praying for God’s presence before the sermon? Have you not read Testimonies for the Church vol. 5 “Behavior in the house of God” here’s a taste “When the minister enters, it should be with dignified, solemn mien. He should bow down in silent prayer as soon as he steps into the pulpit, and earnestly ask help of God. What an impression this will make! There will be solemnity and awe upon the people. Their minister is communing with God; he is committing himself to God before he dares to stand before the people. Solemnity rests upon all, and angels of God are brought very near. Every one of the congregation, also, who fears God should with bowed head unite in silent prayer with him that God may grace the meeting with His presence and give power to His truth proclaimed from human lips. When the meeting is opened by prayer, every knee should bow in the presence of the Holy One, and every heart should ascend to God in silent devotion. The prayers of faithful worshipers will be heard, and the ministry of the word will prove effectual.” It really looks like we have allowed man tradition to override God’s counsel. I encourage anyone who takes part in this kind of worship to read Revelation Chapter 4&5 to see how worship in Heaven is conducted, Remember what Christ said in Matthew 6:10 “thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven”
D W Johnson I hope you didn’t miss the point of the sermon. Blessings!
Sarah Marshall Niles No I didn’t miss the point of his sermon just I’m not attracted to his style of preaching.I don’t know if you are a SDA but I encourage you to read Desire of Ages chapter 21 “Bethesda and the Sanhedrin” and I promise you after reading this chapter the point of his message will be magnified ten fold
Questions SDA cannot answer: 1. If every man from Adam to Moses kept the Sabbath, why is the Hebrew word for the weekly Sabbath found in the ten commandments, never found in the book of Genesis? Why is that?
Q1:Questions SDA can answer: 1.
ANSWER: If everything that the patriarchs ever did was recorded, If all daily activities were recorded down, then no library could be enough to hold such a Bible. The purpose of Genesis is exactly that...to show us the genesis of the human race. It perfectly brings out how the sabbath was instituted, how it began .... Gen 2:1. Did the word Sabbath have to be mentioned for us to believe the Sabbath was kept in Genesis? I do not think so....Let me illustrate: A teacher during school term, on say a Tuesday, does not normally have to remind his pupils "make sure you come to school tomorrow...." why because it is a a given. Likewise Adam did not have to be reminded about Sabbath.... because it was a given. Remember Adam lived for over 9 centuries...his example of Sabbath keeping was enough a reminder to his off spring. Again Genesis was written way after, by Moses. Only key messages (history) were orally passed down so that they could reach Moses. The idea of Sabbath is a key message brought out during creation week.
Sabbath is part of God's law. Because law is not particularly mentioned in Genesis, does not mean the patriarchs operated without Law. Because a country's constitution is not mentioned daily does not mean it is non existent.
QUESTION 2: Why were the Patriarchs never instructed about he Sabbath, but were instructed regarding: offerings: Gen 4:3-4, Altars Gen 8:20, Priests: Gen 14:18, Tithes: Gen 14:20, Circumcision: Gen 17:10, Marriage: Gen 2:24 & Gen 34:9. Why would God leave out the "all important" Sabbath command?
ANSWER: The example of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4 is powerful. Before this chapter, We do not see an express command on sacrifices. There is, like the Sabbath, only clear example. But Cain departs from the example given that blood must be shed for the atonement of sins. Cains departure from the norm prompts the 'reminder' in Genesis 4.
There is no need for a reminder where an issue has not been forgot. There was no need to tell Adam and generations after him to "remember the Sabbath" where he had not forgotten it. As for the Israelites from Egypt, their was clear need because they had forgotten.
Likewise unto you and me, we are reminded both in the new and the old testament about the Sabbath. We do well to obey because doing the opposite is rebellion.
QUESTION 3: If the fact that God wrote the 10 commandments on stone proves they are forever, then whatever happened to the two stone tablets that God gave Adam at the beginning of time? Why is Moses the first one to see a stone tablet written by the finger of God?
ANSWER: Let us use the example of a baby born to a family and therefore growing in the family household. Despite there being a rule in the house that "everyone has to be in the house by 10 at night", this rule is not made evident to this growing toddler. 2-year-old babies may not understand house rules but this does not make the rules non-existent.
The church has been in stages of growth. It's 'birth' was at the times of Adam and in our times today, its growing into maturity. As a toddler, it may not have had the Law in its fullest sense. But this does not mean the Law was non-existent.
Read Genesis 38. Judah, in vs 24, understands clearly that Tamar has sinned and therefore should be put to death. So it is quite clear the patriarchs had an understanding of the law.... it did not have to be on stone as much as it needed to be in their hearts.
At Sinai, the the law was revealed once again to an Israel congregation that had largely forgotten albeit on the tablets of stone. God desires the law to be written in our hearts.
Stone in the Bible is a symbol of Jesus Christ. He is the great I AM. The law being written on stone is a symbol the law lives in Christ forever. It is His Character and it does not change.
Q4 Why is the weekly Sabbath commandment never quoted in the New Testament?
ANSWER: The Sabbath is mentioned in various contexts thought the new testament. Luke 4:16 Shows how Christ was in obedience to His law.
In Matthew 12:12 Jesus says: ".....it is lawful to do good on Sabbath...". This is a clear reference to the Sabbath commandment.
Q5. Why is the Sabbath the only one of the ten commandments that are said to be "throughout your generations", the usual phrase that indicates it was a temporary ceremonial law only for the Jews?
ANS. The sabbath is part of the 10 Moral laws. It is the 4th commandment in the set of 10 written by the finger of God. Therefore it was not a temporal commandment.
Lot of dialog , just preach.
