Nice video Peter. Some of my fondest memories from my youth was going to record stores and checking out music. My local store had a listening hub in the store that you could listen to the album before purchase. Was fun to check out bands I never heard of that way 👍
Hi, David! I loved those listening hubs! I bought a lot of indie Japanese artists when I first came to Japan because I was able to listen to their CDs first. But I also bought some albums whose first track was the best track on the album!
it's always great to see a physical store these days. some of my happiest youth memories are based around record stores :-). that shop looks fantastic great tee-shirt BTW!!
There is that excitement of being in a physical store. My problem is that I forget what I'm looking for, and then everything is alphabetized by the Japanese syllabary, so I need to change language gears and think of where a particular band or artist will be found, and then try to read all the Katakana spines. I can do it. But it's much slower than the old familiar process back home. Glad you noticed the T-shirt!
@@musicisajourney there can be fewer pleasures in life than looking through the records on display in a store 🙂 I spent virtually every Saturday of my youth in one record shop or another - we had 4 or 5 here in Swansea back in the 80s. Come to think of it, we still have 4 that I can think of, though some are now second-hand stores. My favourite was Derrick's Records. It's still there now. The owner was (still is) a dead ringer for Steve Perry! It's where we would all gather in our embroidered and badge-adorned denim jackets, mohair jumpers and jeans, all smelling of patchouli oil (or worse!) and eagerly looking at the records or the wall of concert ticket announcements 🙂 I had a Levi's denim jacket and on the back my sister embroidered the Rush "pentangle" and the man from Hemispheres. I was the envy of many a fan and had numerous offers to sell the jacket! God knows where it is these days!! There was a trend of sewing beer towels into jeans, but not one I followed,
Belzebubs is finnish comic about normal life of black metal family... They brought the comic to life with music. I believe that those comics are also available in english.
Wrabit's third album apparently was released in the same series as the first two, which I bought a little over a year ago. But by that time, it was listed anymore. So, I assumed it was not likely to turn up without a hunt. What a surprise to see it there on the shelf, cover on display! We need at least one more Belzebubs animated video. Two are not enough!
Hi Peter!! Great video and sorry to hear you couldn't add the Hazzerd's newest release, hope you can get it lately...... i remember going to Union Disk and boy what an amazing experience it was, my only regret was not buying enough stuff, lol..... who knows maybe next time?? cheers and be well
Hi, Cristian. I've placed an order with Tower Records, so hopefully they will be able to bring a copy in. I think if I had the time and money, I could spend quite a bit in there. There were a few albums I had previously thought to get, plus tons of bands I've never heard of. Who knows. Maybe next time, eh?
Hey Peter! Was curious as to what music costs over there so I took a look at Yen to US dollar, pretty much same as Canadian. Get your Belzebubs on! Cheers!
Nice video Peter.

I liked the looks of those animations too. Great imagination
@@3dimensionsofmusic3D Yeah, it’s fun. Even if you don’t like the music, the videos are entertaining.

@@TommysVinylnaut Hey, thanks for that, Tommy! I’ve only seen the two videos. Now I’d like to investigate further.
@musicisajourney It is pretty funny comic. Hopefully you'll find copy of Belzebubs comic. There are two volumes available.
Hey Peter. Great video and haul. Wow, 3rd album by Wrabit! I have never even seen that, I have the first two! Belzebubs, are super interesting. Cheers

@ How does that 3rd Wrabit album sound compared to the first two - to me the 1st one is their best out of the two I have.
@@7BobbyGaylor7 I've actually never heard it. The one in the store was a bit too much above my price range except in rare and dire cases.

It's not bad buying here. It's paying for shipping on items coming from North America and Australia that hurts!
