You simply do not see this kind of emotion in metal anymore. To me it seems like bands these days act like playing a show is more of a chore than an enjoyable experience. You can see the absolute joy and happiness on Su Yui and Moa's face while they preform. They truly love what they do and they give everything they got to give the best performance possible. And on more than one occasion they've been sent to the hospital for overheating because of how hard they preform. I haven't seen dedication like that in Metal in a very long time. And for any metal nerds that will say there not Metal or there a gimmick answer this question. What other Metal band out there puts in as much love and dedication into there music and live shows as BABYMETAL? Even Rob Zombie has said there more passionate and energetic than any other bands they've toured with.

These girls took a -- let's be honest -- dying genre, and reinvigorated it with *positivity.* A major point of metal, please correct me if I'm wrong, is to push boundaries, and _boy_ does BM do that just by existing. Suzuka's voice, the frenetic energy of Moimoi's dancing, and the intentional insertion of Girl-Power lyrics/themes into a scene infamous for being a total sausage-fest doesn't hurt either. It's the perfect storm of elements that metal needed in the wake of Dio's death (I genuinely believe that, had he lived, he would have supported the girls). Of course you can only catch lightning in a bottle once. Kawaii Metal (or Kawaii hard-rock) is starting to become a thing in Japan thanks to Babymetal kick-starting the underground Idol scene, and maybe a couple of those groups (like, say, Band-Maid) may go international eventually, but fans in the West have made it clear they like *_these_* girls. That's why anyone who speculates any of the BM trio will be fired due to age is an idiot. Koba is insane, not stupid.
Babymetal is going to be active as long as Suzuka wants to do it. If she doesn't want to do it no more there wont be a Babymetal. Moa seems the more fun of the three. Yui is more reserved while Suzuka is the more serious one.
I agree with you guys posting. Metal gets boring these days...droning alternate tunings all trying to be Tool clones, yet not having the understanding of what makes Tool's music special (even though they drone a lot too haha). These girls (and guys) put melody AND fury into metal music, which it has been lacking forever, and they are just a joy to watch perform. I will definitely be going to see them live next chance I get!
