Seems Yvonne has taken supporting Nerd HQ to heart, which is nice to see. I guess she has really enjoyed the event in the past. It would be sad if Manhattan Nocturne prevented her from attending this year, though I haven't heard anything about the movie after that Variety article.
I saw that. I'm glad she did it but there really is so little that she can do especially being in London. Virtually everyone that follows her probably follows Zach except the Dexter fans. You can only tweet about it so often. I'm sure she loves going there. Last year she was up partying and dancing till 5am and would love to go back this year if she can. Not sure why about Manhattan Nocturne. I would hope we would be hearing something about it soon.
Everyone who's been to Nerd HQ seems to love it, the problem is making new people aware of it. It's not done easily or fast. The best way to do it would be slowly building up the NerdMachine community by offering (high quality) RUclips content and stuff like that. Tweets etc are mostly noticed by people who already know what Nerd HQ is. Maybe Zac & co should talk to people like Felicia Day and ask for tips. As for Yvonne, it's great that she's helping, but I'd bet 75% or more of her followers are also Zac's fans.
mike newell Yeah, I don't know how much tweeting will really help it. It is a nice event and people like going to it, but it's had a bad business model from the jump. Zach and his sister and whoever else should have been planning this out longer and looking to branch out rather than relying so much on Zach's Chuck fame, especially since it has been off the air so long now. As for the movie, yeah it is interesting that she hasn't really acknowledged it at all aside from that one response tweet about NYC. It's a little indie movie and still early in pre production and probably hoping the checks clear. I would imagine there's still a little chance it may not even get made. Has it even found a distributor yet?
I saw Zac's Broadway show on saturday and I must say, he is a very gracious guy at the stage door. Very accommodating, very nice, very approachable. I wonder what happened last December to cause this meltdown in his relationship with Yvonne Strahovski. The silence is deafening...

I always thought her relationship with Frigone wasn't well known outside of this thread and certain other places, but it seems many people really dislike him and were happy about Yvonne's "I'm not spoken for" statement.
Last night gave the first fresh Yvonne pics in months. She attended Elton John's Oscar party with her gay friend. It'll be interesting to see if she stays in LA for the pilot season or maybe heads to Australia for a longer break. Either way, if she decides to spend some time surfing no one should give her grief about it like the last time. She's been working a lot for quite a long time.
Hopefully, Yvonne will finally get the critical praise she deserves. So far she has been awfully underrated as an actress. Would be great if "Handmaid's Tale" was the well deserved breakthrough for her career, getting bigger roles.

The challenge here will be to not be over-shadowed by Elizabeth Moss and other co-stars. I saw one critic already mentioning an Emmy nomination for Moss. Some were even praising Alexis Bledel, who normally doesn't get good reviews from critics. But, being in a critically adored production is always a plus.

Great to see Yvonne spending so much time with the Cats again. That seems to be a definite change from last summer and fall. Looks like they had a great girl's weekend with some other friends. These all are very accomplished women it seems and definitely badass in their own right. No lazy, underachievers in this group. ;)
mike newell Well she did spend some girl time with Kinga earlier in the week. Those pics have since disappeared but were on Tumblr and the Italian fan FB page. But Yvonne spent the sunday right after NerdHQ with the Cats. 4 days later she spent her birthday with the Cats and Aimee Garcia as well. I think that's the first time they have seen each other since Dexter that we know of. And this past weekend she had a girls weekend with them and some other very accomplished and successful women. She seems to have gravitated back to her long time friends and made some new friends lately. What this all means if anything is anybody's guess but I view it as a good thing. I don't think she is "throwing in the towel" this summer but spending more time with strong, successful women who have been her friends for a long while but were on the sidelines much of this past year. Even Michelle reached out to her on her birthday. Maybe we might see a change there at some point as well.

Zac and Missy are one Hollywood/Celeb couple whose marriage I would not expect to run into trouble within the first six or so months, but I guess you never know. That said, at this point I'm inclined to believe there's a simpler, harmless explanation for his ringlessness.

I think it's called shouting it down. If there were real opinions being shared instead of finger pointing and accusations and name calling (really, I have never seen name calling on this thread like I've seen it this week) going on it wouldn't be so bad. Instead this has degenerated into a form of "thread rage" - road rage using words instead of guns. Everyone has the right to voice their opinions. And we all have the right to challenge an opinion - but attacking them, especially in such a personal manner is just wrong. (Unless of course you are Donald Trump cause it sure seems like it's working for him.) Let's face facts - this thread is about Yvonne - Yvonne herself, what she does, what people would like her to do with her career, the people who interact with Yvonne, where she goes, how she looks etc, etc. Everything else is a satellite, spinning around her. Virtually if not all of the posts are about her. I'm sure if we look hard enough we will find a similar thread for Zac - but I doubt anyone who posts here is really interested. People come here because they want to find out about Yvonne - long time posters, those coming out of the "weeds" and lurkers. All are curious, all want to know, all are fans - and remember that fan is short for fanatic, That's right - we are all the same. And it won't go away. It won't until we are no longer fans. Scorpio x I had seen a report that the wrap was Feb 17th which would fit with that. They have been shooting promo stills etc already but you're right the silence from ABC at the TCA's was surprising. My guess is its postponed again till summer. If that's the case I don't think that's a positive. Maybe the changes that were made to get it delayed last summer till springtime as was reported didn't come off as well as they hoped. To have an entire 10 episode series basically in the can with no clear air date seems odd.

I think they hoped to start filming in July, but that's probably not going to happen now. Maybe she'll take the opportunity to go visit Australia again, though I'd like to see her attend SDCC/NerdHQ (which starts exactly in 2 months from now) in some capacity.

And the only reason I could see her going to SDCC this year would be for NerdHQ, especially if it seems like this could be the last one, which it does seem like it could be. gf4670 Exactly. That's why I'll believe it when I see it. I've seen no indication in any of the latest news that it is anywhere closer to being made than it was in January. I think she simply mentioned it because she knows the info is out there. I mean she roundabout commented back a couple of months ago on Twitter that her weekend NYC trip wasn't for MN but for the recent photo shoots we have seen. Also her "officially-officially" thing can be read many different ways. She has something she can't comment on, she has nothing official on anything, she has auditioned for stuff that she hasn't heard about, or she is waiting till she gets back to LA and sees what happens with 24 to decided what to go after. But the idea of a spinoff I think is unlikely but with Fox being in such bad shakes for programming its possible I guess. Plus I personally don't want totally serious Yvonne again. I'd rather see her do something with more comedy, more romance, and the action. So I guess more Chuck lol. But hell she could even come home from London and marry the douchebag and retire to sit on the beach and make babies while he does 2 or 3 shoots a year till her money runs out. I didn't watch Heroes either. Everyone's saying only the first season was good but the writers strike really hurt the show and the quality went down. I might check out the mini now if it is accessible for those who never watched the original.
sam ruby Yeah, I'm not very interested in it, but work is work. I guess maybe that other show he was supposed to be involved with went nowhere. But I only ever caught glimpses of Heroes and I know it fell really hard really quick after its first season and a lot of people were thankful when it ended. I guess I'm kinda surprised but not really surprised they're bringing it back, they're so desperate for anything. But yeah, the writers strike hurt almost everything - clobbered Chuck's first season and forever affected its run, House was never the same after, etc.
gf4670 The first season was really good and earned a number of awards and nominations including Emmy & Golden Globe. yes, the writers strike after the second season did have a huge impact on it and the third and fourth season just lost all continuity.. It moved time slots in the second year to make room for Chuck - I remember being a little peeved about it at the time, but, who knew?It has as loyal a fan base as Chuck's and there has been a constant call for a movie/reboot/continuation since it was cancelled. NBC was very noncommittal for a long time yet here it is. Gives me a littl hope that the series that took it's time slot has a chance someday too.

I am optimistic that Yvonne Strahovski will appear at this year's Nerd HQ, even though she is shooting a movie in Canada right now. The Nerdmachine has posted a picture of YS and Zac Levi from one of their previous panels on their Twitter page in order to sell new Nerd HQ merchandise. If Yvonne could/wouldn't show up this year why not use a different pic with someone else to promote stuff, right? Hopefully, they will announce their panel line up pretty soon.
They also liked her video on IG as well. Again not proof but I agree that if she wasn't coming they would not mention her at all in any fashion. They know a huge number of folks will be disappointed if she isn't there so why stir the pot, why not just announce she won't be coming instead of teasing the fans? I'd bet a weeks pay she will be there.

Apparently Machinima is going to premiere the trailer for I,Frankenstein on Friday, lets all watch it and in the most unbiased ways possible (hard I know because we all do LOVE Yvonne unconditionally) lets all give our impressions of the trailer, hopefully it changes my mind on my early impressions, but I'm still not seeing it. That's interesting. She's back with Schwartz and Fake Empire. It is a very different role for her and I wonder how much of it is being shot in New Orleans. It is listed as starting principle photography Oct. 6th so that fits with the rush back to the US. Is the entire series being shot there? It is listed as another 10 episode "limited series" for mid-season on ABC. Certainly a very different role for her and I have to admit being a big fan of the early NASA era I am quite intrigued. I do think this means that MN is probably at least delayed or a non-starter as many folks believed it would be. Also just read that Desmond Harrington is cast as well. So she's back with Dexter alum's too.

sam ruby Well what screwed up Chuck was Schwartz's love affair with teen angst and WTWT. Here at least there is no chance of that as she is married with 4 kids lol. But for many fans season's 1 and 2 of Chuck were the best, though season 4 is my favorite season 2 was the best written and executed. Those 2 were the ones Schwartz was most involved in though he was certainly responsible for the crap of WTWT in season 3. He had handed it over to Fedak for season 4 and 5.

I think some overeager Yvonne fans should probably consider not suggesting her for every female role that comes up. The most recent case being of course Supergirl, emphasis on the word *girl* whereas Yvonne is definitely a *woman*. The show has a Chuck connection with Ali Adler producing it, but I recall there being rumors about her and Yvonne having a falling out over something. I have no idea if those rumors are true or not, but they both follow lots of Chuck people on Twitter... except each other.

Scorpio x The press release says the character is 24 years old, Yvonne is 32. Though I want Yvonne back in regular series television IMO this isn't the role for her at all. She's been out of work for over 3 months now and the disturbance in the force is growing. I hope we learn something Tuesday because I still am very skeptical about Manhattan Nocturne.

Probably nothing, unless someone can confirm 100% that they used to follow each other and the mutually unfollowed. If that's the case, it's pretty interesting.
Looks like Yvonne is busy working hard. For some reason she has also taken at least a partial break from social media. She has stopped liking IG pics (something she used to do daily) and been pretty silent otherwise too. Hopefully all is well with her.
I think the reasons for this are probably pretty obvious and all in all a good thing. First of all this is a Josh Schwartz production and not a Howard Gordon/Jon Cassar production. I expect her days on set are longer. Maybe not approaching Chuck type days but still because of the nature of the show they probably can't do the same type of multi-episode simultaneous shooting that 24 could. It's also a period piece and her time in hair, makeup and wardrobe probably is a little longer as well. But secondly she either decided on her own or on the advice of some others to back off her social media presence and focus on the work. I think that's a good idea on both the professional level and probably the personal one as well. Let's face it she got burned by the Internet with the leaked pics and she was disrespected and embarrassed by her ex-boyfriend's ridiculous tirade on social media a couple of months ago. I absolutely believe that if she had still been with Loden or single and not with Frigone, none of that would have happened. So staying away from it for a while and waiting till the push for AWC comes after the first of the year to hopefully finally put all of that behind her makes a lot of sense. I mean Def has even seemed to have learned his lesson and because he is no longer taunting or harassing anyone and making a fool of himself and Yvonne he has been left alone as well. I mean look at this thread for the last 2 months. He's faded back into the woodwork and gone back to his old life prior to when he started all of this and I'm fine with that. It was always his disrespect for her and her fans and the snarky, arrogant and douchey way he came off that bothered me. I'm happy to never mention him again. So now she is back to much of how she approached social media back before she went to the beach that early summer day in 2013. It's a useful tool for promotion and connecting with your fans but on a limited level. She experienced its potential downside first hand especially after she created her IG account at I can only imagine who's suggestion. Plus she is with Chazzy in her free time now and my guess is she couldn't be happier about that. So I'm fine with her being more private and taking this break to focus on her work and move forward from what could have been an even worse situation for her.
Ryan Greenewald A few of us have some screenshots of it, but it was one of those you had to be there when it was happening kind of things. He just had a few things to say to some of us here that night when the leaks happened, things which largely backed up a lot of the negative stuff some of us had been saying about him over the past year+. And it's not something we're proud of being right about. I'm sure that we'd generally like to keep it between us and him at this point, especially since it was directed at some of us specifically AND because disseminating it would do a disservice to Yvonne, especially in light of what all happened. It's over, for now, and I think everyone involved is eager to move on.

I'm beginning to think some of Yvonne's "beach friends" are kinda mean-spirited. Like there is this one guy who comments on lots of IG pics pretty enthusiastically, never writing anything rude, but they (Frigone, Jessie, Kinga etc) make fun of him w/o him ever realizing it. Someone actually pointed that out in one of Kinga's pics but she deleted that comment quickly. At least I haven't seen Yvonne or Sarah L participating in mocking him.
Welcome. I've seen that for a while. The person obviously does not speak English and is using Goggle translate to make these posts. We all know how that can alter things and make it look weird. But I agree that their comments are never rude and in many ways extremely complimentary and enthusiastic in their appreciation for Kinga and the others. Sure with the translation issues it can come off a little bit weird but I don't get any sense that it is mean spirited in intent by the poster. I mean read some of the fan postings of others like Mini, Yvonne or a number of folks get and they are similar. Just enthusiastic fans. The simple and the classy thing to do is to simply ignore them but it is quite clear that this group, headed by you know who, have talked about it and this person mockingly and with the typical snark we have come to expect. It shows their well known lack of class but I'm kind of surprised and saddened that Kinga has participated in it. This person could be a child, disabled, or have some other problems yet they mock them. I thought that she at least was better than that.
trine newstad I've seen it at least 3-4 times and it usually starts with the nuclear physicist and a comment about "Oh this should be good" but I have seen Jessie start it as well. I'm not surprised at all by him being involved, nothing he does shocks me anymore, just look at his current IG profile text for a pretty disgusting example, but I do find the snark and smugness of Kinga and Jessie sad and disappointing.
Tony noms are announced tomorrow. Zac's category was described super competitive this year, so him getting nominated is highly unlikely, as much as I hope that wasn't the case. He got a lot of praise for his performance, but I think actors in longer musicals (FD was only 90mins) with more solo performances etc will have the edge.

Well I can't wait for more engagement/wedding talk cause she's got a tiny little band on there. With Zach now getting hitched I can see the shippers going into a tailspin and trying to connect dots that somehow Yvonne has to be getting married as well.
It's not dismissing it. It's not so much the age, but the situation and lifestyle. She's been on this Eat, Pray, Love thing this year figuring out her life and taking up new things. He's involved in that. Things always change, entropy is the way of the universe. It's a passion thing and it goes away, but you enjoy the journey. She's having an experience, nothing wrong with that.
I don't get it, what does Yvonne Strahovski see in Albert Frigone? Okey, they both like to surf. Have you guys seen the interviews where she talks about what she looks for in a guy? It's like she describes Zachary Levi everytime or is it just me who thinks so? Good sense of humor, cute, intelligent, outgoing, has good communication skills, athletic, down to earth and it has to be chemistry there. I really can't see much of this in Albert Frigone, the guy is 45 years old and looks creepy on every picture with Yvonne Strahovski.

I'll say this, the comments about Zach are irrelevant and to me just give fodder to those that want the blame all the negativity about Frigone on Zachonne shippers wanting the two of them together. That was the same argument about Loden and the negative reaction to him. But in Tim's case I think it was closer to the reality as Loden suffered from not being Zach when the series was still airing. The on screen and off screen chemistry was undeniable. I don't blame the Zachonne shippers too much as the show and them to an extent promoted that chemistry. It was a critical part of their success. It also was shown off screen and gave the fans a closer connection to them as people. So of course many would like to see it happen in reality. It's only natural. But it is unfair. Loden suffered for it but handled it with incredible class and dignity but it had to have an effect on things rightly or wrongly. Now the case for Frigone is totally different. For me at least that scenario couldn't be farther from the truth. As Def himself has said, "It all depends on what you think you see." The reasons to be concerned about him are mainly his but in part her doing as well. It has nothing to do with him not being Zach. Def has shown himself to be clueless, insulting to fans, narcissistic and has on many occasions not shown her the respect she deserves. And it isn't just isolated incidents. It's a pattern of behavior that began months ago and continues to as recently as a couple of weeks ago. She has said she has quirky taste in men and this certainly is exactly that. But the problem is his disrespect of her, her fans and the career she has chosen. He has displayed no class, dignity or honest concern for her and how her fans see her. That is my objection with him and it has nothing to do with Zach Levi. What "I think I see" is that she was upset with the breakup with Tim, saw the negative reaction to season 8 of Dexter coming and just like she wasn't happy with the Chuck finale, she had to know they dismantled a great character in Hannah from season 7 in season 8. She became one dimensional, the prize he would never deserve. So she did a Chuck rewatch and then went with a friend to the beach and met a surfing instructor who helped her with her water phobia and got her to find a new outlet for her "outdoorsy" life. With the breakup she had to sell her home of 4 years, gave up one of her dogs and she "threw in the towel" and rented in Malibu. He was there and her new friends were there. The beach bum life had an appeal after everything she been through the last 7 years and she threw herself into it. Def was part of that. But no one can ever tell me that there is a deep connection between them. The NYC pics are a clear example of that. He looks to be the guy who is hanging on to something he knows he is losing. There is no affection, no comfort level in being seen in public together. Yvonne just wants out of there and Def looks incredibly creepy and like he got hit by a Mack truck. Then he escorts her to London because she probably didn't want to travel alone and once she got settled he came home. He's back in LA now and she is over 5000 miles away. What happens next is anybody's guess. We will just have to wait and see. But again Zach has no bearing on any of this for me other than I'd love to see them work together again. Chuck movie, Broadway or a rom com would be fantastic. But let's get over the idea that the large amount negativity towards Albert is based on folks wanting Zachonne. That is irrelevant and very over stated. But his behavior and how he comes across isn't.
Bob H What I really wonder is, how will Albert Frigone feel when he sees the chemistry between Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski. I've seen videos where Tim looks like no one when Yvonne Strahovski hangs with Zachary Levi on and off screen.
marcus svensson Well it is quite possible they have already met in NYC when she went to First Date. And as far as Tim goes he did much of that fading into the background because first he is shy. A number of folks I trust that met him have said that. And out of respect for Yvonne. But my main point is that any comparison with Zach allows folks to simply dismiss legitimate concerns about Def as simply the work of crazy Zachonne shippers. Don't feed into that. There are plenty of reasons for negativity about Frigone. But as soon as Zach's name is brought up the legitimacy of the discussion gets dismissed.
As I said in the other thread he looks like the hired help. His complete and total lack of style and class just is so incredibly apparant when he is next to her playing bodyguard. I know the narcissist in him probably loves that we are talking about all this but it is just so apparant what a huge step down he is from any guy she has been linked to.
It was great seeing Yvonne with Mini, Mercedes, Mekenna and Felix today. Those friendships are important for her to maintain I believe. Keeps her connected with things that truly matter, work, friendship and family. Plus the less we and she sees Def the better.

Seeing some things today I'm going to make an appeal to the readers and posters here. I hope you will follow me and no longer mention or comment publicly about a certain ex-boyfriend. It's bad enough to do it here but to comment on Yvonne's IG account is inappropriate and disrespectful to her. Plus the fact that he felt the need to respond to one such comment on her account shows again what "respect" for her means to him. Not much. But when we as her fans do that on her account it just stoops to that same level of disrespect. Plus the hypocrisy of calling out fans for "stalking his page" when we all know he has been obsessed with what is said here is pretty clear. So lets stop feeding his obsession. Thankfully, he is irrelevant now. A blip of madness that she has moved on from. They have broken up and she seems to be trying to rebuild her friendships with a number of folks that stepped back during these past 18 months. For that I applaud her. So I ask that we let him fade into a hopefully forgotten memory and leave him to lead his life as he chooses in private. Yvonne has moved on from him and so should we.
I'm happy that I don't know what comments you are referring to. But yeah, people really shouldn't pester Yvonne on Instagram or Twitter about the subject. She's already pretty inactive on social media (especially on Twitter) and sending her rude/offensive/intruding messages will only make her more uncomfortable and less willing to share anything.

There was speculation based on pictures and some IG comments. But now it's dropped into nothing so I don't really know lol. Maybe Yvonne had a fling but who knows these days it's Hollywood as they say.
I was following along with this thread commentary as it was happening at the time. Strangest experience, revealing to me an apparent subculture of people, some of whom had either insider knowledge or at least familiarity with the inner workings of the business and the social media landscape surrounding it.
I don't know if you guys ever noticed this, but earlier this year she was also tied to some Turkish movie (or at least a movie filmed in Turkey) with Russel Crowe, It was only mentioned on a few Turkish websites, but some Yvonne fans did notice it. I believe it was supposed to start filming this past summer, but nothing ever materialized.

She is likely to head to Sydney for a few days as well. But at least if she is going to miss it, it's because of work. For that I'm really happy and will give her a pass. It started shooting last week. Not sure if she will be in it the whole time but it does seem likely she won't be at NerdHQ. But again if its for good work, then I'm all for it. And an almost 3 month shoot internationally seems like a higher profile indie than MN certainly.

Funny too, gf and I were discussing her management last night and after reading the interview, I guess we know why she remains loyal to them. Loyalty seems to be a huge thing for Yvonne and she once again laughs at how she is perceived as "classy". When she's comfortable with an interviewer, her engaging personality comes to the forefront.

Well if that's the case, Albert Frigone has become an almost full time gigolo it seems. He didn't go back to work on Web Therapy from what we can tell. Maybe they didn't want him back, who knows. He doesn't seem to be working much elsewhere and I expect most of his travel if he was in NYC or London is paid for by Yvonne. So being the creepy narcissistic type of guy he seems to be, why work when Yvonne will pay for him to be with her? But I'm curious as to why you think he's with her in England again? I haven't seen anything other than he posted a few pics this weekend we can't see. And he has done that in the past when he wasn't with her. It's certainly possible he is but I've seen no proof of it. But no matter what if he is travelling with her or spending time with her I'm fairly certain she is footing the bill. At least during her time with Loden, he worked full time both at Comme Ca and at trying to get his career and business going. He took care of the pets, their home and didn't take advantage of the situation when she was away Also taking this much time off at Prince Albert's age can be a problem when this all falls apart, which it definitely will some day. He isn't the young, talented, energetic kid that productions are looking for. And the older his resume gets the harder it will be to get work on his own. Plus his resume isn't much to begin with. A 45 or 46 year old guy who is still working at an entry level position? For that very reason I'd shy away from hiring him. He has become nothing more than a gigolo now it seems. The only exception to that role is he has no personal style other than flannel shirts, surfing wear and army surplus jackets, and he is an embarrassment to her in public as witnessed in NYC. It's the reason she has hid him from the public even more than she ever did Loden. As a matter of fact her long time friends are still friends with Loden and not Albert even after 10 months together. So he may be her paid companion but she doesn't take him out in public anywhere they could be seen together and her be questioned about him. A pretty bizarre relationship if you ask me. One last thing. If he has been with her as frequently as some believe, who is taking care of Chazzie? We know for certain that Tim has Willie since they split up and sold the house, but who has her beloved dog while she has been away for so long this time? A real boyfriend would have volunteered to take him, like Tim did at one point. Give him the good loving home while it allowed her to pursue her career. And with Frigone with her or occasionally working, who has Chazzie then? I'm now convinced Tim doesn't have Chazzie. Did she place him in a kennel for 4 1/2 months? Again pretty sad she can't depend on her boyfriend to take care of her beloved pet especially after she had to separate him from his almost life long companion dog after she broke up with her long time boyfriend and sold the house just a few months before. So the more this goes on the more bizarre and unbelievable it becomes. I guess maybe it may be time to step back for a bit because nothing surprises me anymore. It is the absurd unfunny joke that will not end and I do want to enjoy 24LAD and Yvonne's talent on screen because off screen none of this makes any sense and it seems we are in bizarro land.
Bob H I really do think she convinced somebody in January that he was her bodyguard during the Frankenstein media period - you look at those videos and he's trying act all bodyguardy in his half-assed way getting out of the car and all that. It's an easy way to get the studio to pay for his flight and whatever accommodations out of the promotional budget. Unless she went "quick, pretend to look like my bodyguard so they'll disregard you." Which is weird and sad in its own way. As for London, who knows, but that is like a $1500 flight at the cheapest. He could not afford to make that flight on a regular basis without some help. And I think he works mostly freelance and independent stuff, commercials, etc. Certainly nothing too regular. He obviously doesn't know many big names in cinematography as that's how you get work is through networking, or maybe he does and they either don't think much of his work or just him personally. But I have no clue what's going through her head - either she knows it's just a fling and is having fun with it while it lasts or she really is just that dumb and naive. Both are possible. But as one person on Twitter said, the situation has "yikes" written all over it.

Plus that would imply he actually pays for something once in a great while. Playing tourist in England is one thing but when she comes home what happens then? A great actress, very professional, hard working, and good to the people she work with. And by the end of this year, she will hopefully have proven to a bigger audience, she is much more versatile than many previously thought. Good interview for Yvonne's fans last night. She sure looked comfortable last night - maybe the most I've seen her on a national spot. She made some interesting comments like throwing in the towel and moving to Malibu and being a beach bum - it was like she was addressing some of her fans worries through Arsenio. I had mentioned in an earlier post that I was disappointed in the decisions and some of her choices she had been making in regards to her fans, I have to say that has certainly changed over the past few weeks. True, having something to talk about (24) helps, but recently she has consciously involved her fans and kept them up to date. Her recent choices have had a positive effect on her fans and I'm grateful for that. Good on ya Yvonne.
Well she is a smart woman and had to be aware of the growing frustration in the fanbase. For her to be oblivious to it all is extremely unlikely. I did find that choice of words about "throwing in the towell" interesting. Not sure if it means anything beyond the surface but one of the things this fanbase does a lot is parse every word. Remember the disaster that happened after Schwartz's "emotionally traumatic" comments at Comicon. In many ways Chuckpocalypse began there. She's smart enough to know she has to chose her words wisely. To me it was a bit of a mia culpa and acknowledged that in fact she had become a beach bum. Not that she was apologizing certainly or that she had to but she was mending fences by being honest. If the other troublesome behavior disappears I think she will easily recover the love and adoration of her fans that was strained by that behavior and apparant acceptance of the rather immature and narcissistic acts of others.

It is what it is. How many times have people not connected like this ? Yvonne mentioned in early interview that she loved Comme,Ca, that's where Loden worked and they got together. I deduce a stronger bond being formed with the surfing lessons and instructor/student dynamic of overcoming psychological fears. She loves surfing now and he has mentioned surfing for 30 years. That's a bond. I'm with CW, not saying it's permanent or not, but it is certainly plausible in the realm of human relations.
If they were losing money, I doubt there would be talks of continuing the show next year. Zac's contract ends in January and he has expressed his desire to stay in New York so he might sign up, but he could of course be looking for another job there. He's been getting positive reviews for his performance so he might be tempted to find a play that the critics would praise as well. In a recent interview he talked about how he'd really like to be a part of something critically acclaimed some day.
I curious Forrest, I still have yet to hear you're honest thoughts on I,Frank, are you at least more optimistic than I am? I know I sound like a broken, but no matter how much I want to believe will be good and no matter how much I love and want to support Yvonne, nothing about that movie on its own merits seems interesting to me. So, apparently Ryan McPartlin is filming another episode of Hart of Dixie and Yvonne stopped by and it was implied by his post that they are filming an episode together with her as his love interest. Do u think she's actually going to guest star, or do u think it was just a friendly hello where she stopped by the set?
Yeah, but I don't see her auditioning for pilot season this upcoming season, she's made it clear that she wants to focus on films right now (though she reiterated that she's open to more television in the future) but I think since I,Frankenstein opens during pilot season that she's waiting to see how it does and what it can do for her film career. Of course, since pilot season runs 'till March, she could audition in February 'cause that point she'd know whether the movie did well or bombed.
First Date is ending in January, they were trying to get Zac signed up to continue, but I guess that didn't work out. Makes you wonder if he already managed to find another role that prevented him from continuing.
I had read that they got everybody else signed on to renew their contracts, but he was the sole actor who chose not to, wonder if he'll stick around NYC like he was suggesting before though, who knows.

jaff foo The bride in the pic with Yvonne, Mini and Mekenna is a different bride. She was just having her wedding at the same venue in Lake Arrowhead and recognized Yvonne from Dexter. That wedding was Friday night and the Cats were in the bar probably for the rehearsal dinner. Mini had said she was a bridesmaid that weekend and that wasn't a bridesmaid dress she had on that night. Yvonne asked the bride if she knew her from another show and she said no so she never recognized Mini or Mekenna. Mercedes wedding was on Saturday. You can read the bride's cousin's explanation on tumblr. She is the one who posted that really fuzzy pic of Yvonne through the birch trees. But Mercedes posted what was probably a honeymoon pic today on WhoSay and IG. So yes it was Mercedes wedding.
For final confirmation that it was in fact Mercedes wedding this past weekend, her FB cover pic now is a photo of her and David holding Mr and Mrs signs.

Funny sidenote, while they grew to like each other, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny didn't get along that well in the beginning (a fact they've both admitted), but their onscreen chemistry was always great. Now 20 years later, both having failed marriages behind them, they're apparently living together in a relationship.
I read that same thing, and yeah she does have a wicked sense of humor from what I can tell. That blog also mentioned how everyone but Zac is already signed up for next year. They're trying to get him signed, but the fact that he hasn't done it yet suggests that he's perhaps still looking for a bigger, better project to do.
That's a good point, I completely forgot that he was the one who didn't follow back on twitter for awhile, and even when he did start following he was the one who didn't say anything to her for a long time. It kinda reaffirms my suspicion that he has a one sided affection for her, that he's really into her, but won't admit it to her and won't make it known to her because knowing that she was with someone else for all that time he knew it wasn't meant to be so he distanced himself, poor guy. :(

+Jameson Black Wow, don't know where that comes from based on a lot of factors that I see happening but you are entitled to your opinion. But for me I think she absolutely will be there if she is available which based on what we know she definitely is. But ignoring their on again off again romance for a minute. Both of them know and realize that the success of at least some element of their careers and certainly the viability of NerdHQ itself is absolutely linked to them at least having a cordial professional relationship. She needs the nerds and NerdHQ needs her. Plus if they want to keep up the illusion that they are "just great friends" and not ex-lovers, they have to put that on public display or it just confirms what people have been discussing for a year now. They were "together" and it likely ended badly which neither of them want their fans to believe IMO. Not showing up says the breakup was worse than it likely was was. If they are "ok" with each other then there is no reason for her not to show IMO.

Funny quick fact about Scott Buck, for as much as people like to shit on him, he was actually one of the lead writers on Six Feet Under from season 2 to its end, and wrote 2 episodes of Rome before joining the writing team on Dexter, which is interesting that Hall was obviously one of the main cast member for Six Feet Under and Stevenson was on Rome, since he wasn't on the writing team for Dexter 'till season 6, he had nothing to do with Hall's involvement, but had to with Stevenson's.
Early in her relationship with Loden she avoided appearances with Zach. I remember how odd that was at the beginning of S3 of Chuck. The same thing may be happening here with AF. She doesn't want anyone, especiall AF, to get the idea she and Zach are an item. Thus the no public happy birthday tweet to him and I'm betting she won't go to see First Date or at least there won't be a photo of them together if she does go. I saw that. I'm glad she did it but there really is so little that she can do especially being in London. Virtually everyone that follows her probably follows Zach except the Dexter fans. You can only tweet about it so often. I'm sure she loves going there. Last year she was up partying and dancing till 5am and would love to go back this year if she can.

Everyone who's been to Nerd HQ seems to love it, the problem is making new people aware of it. It's not done easily or fast. The best way to do it would be slowly building up the NerdMachine community by offering (high quality) RUclips content and stuff like that. Tweets etc are mostly noticed by people who already know what Nerd HQ is. Maybe Zac & co should talk to people like Felicia Day and ask for tips.
As for Yvonne, it's great that she's helping, but I'd bet 75% or more of her followers are also Zac's fans.

Yeah, I don't know how much tweeting will really help it. It is a nice event and people like going to it, but it's had a bad business model from the jump. Zach and his sister and whoever else should have been planning this out longer and looking to branch out rather than relying so much on Zach's Chuck fame, especially since it has been off the air so long now.
As for the movie, yeah it is interesting that she hasn't really acknowledged it at all aside from that one response tweet about NYC. It's a little indie movie and still early in pre production and probably hoping the checks clear. I would imagine there's still a little chance it may not even get made. Has it even found a distributor yet?

Last night gave the first fresh Yvonne pics in months. She attended Elton John's Oscar party with her gay friend.
It'll be interesting to see if she stays in LA for the pilot season or maybe heads to Australia for a longer break. Either way, if she decides to spend some time surfing no one should give her grief about it like the last time. She's been working a lot for quite a long time.
Hopefully, Yvonne will finally get the critical praise she deserves. So far she has been awfully underrated as an actress. Would be great if "Handmaid's Tale" was the well deserved breakthrough for her career, getting bigger roles.

The challenge here will be to not be over-shadowed by Elizabeth Moss and other co-stars. I saw one critic already mentioning an Emmy nomination for Moss. Some were even praising Alexis Bledel, who normally doesn't get good reviews from critics. But, being in a critically adored production is always a plus.

Great to see Yvonne spending so much time with the Cats again. That seems to be a definite change from last summer and fall. Looks like they had a great girl's weekend with some other friends. These all are very accomplished women it seems and definitely badass in their own right. No lazy, underachievers in this group. ;)

mike newell Well she did spend some girl time with Kinga earlier in the week. Those pics have since disappeared but were on Tumblr and the Italian fan FB page. But Yvonne spent the sunday right after NerdHQ with the Cats. 4 days later she spent her birthday with the Cats and Aimee Garcia as well. I think that's the first time they have seen each other since Dexter that we know of. And this past weekend she had a girls weekend with them and some other very accomplished and successful women. She seems to have gravitated back to her long time friends and made some new friends lately. What this all means if anything is anybody's guess but I view it as a good thing. I don't think she is "throwing in the towel" this summer but spending more time with strong, successful women who have been her friends for a long while but were on the sidelines much of this past year. Even Michelle reached out to her on her birthday. Maybe we might see a change there at some point as well.

I think it's called shouting it down. If there were real opinions being shared instead of finger pointing and accusations and name calling (really, I have never seen name calling on this thread like I've seen it this week) going on it wouldn't be so bad. Instead this has degenerated into a form of "thread rage" - road rage using words instead of guns.
Everyone has the right to voice their opinions. And we all have the right to challenge an opinion - but attacking them, especially in such a personal manner is just wrong. (Unless of course you are Donald Trump cause it sure seems like it's working for him.)
Let's face facts - this thread is about Yvonne - Yvonne herself, what she does, what people would like her to do with her career, the people who interact with Yvonne, where she goes, how she looks etc, etc. Everything else is a satellite, spinning around her. Virtually if not all of the posts are about her. I'm sure if we look hard enough we will find a similar thread for Zac - but I doubt anyone who posts here is really interested. People come here because they want to find out about Yvonne - long time posters, those coming out of the "weeds" and lurkers. All are curious, all want to know, all are fans - and remember that fan is short for fanatic, That's right - we are all the same. And it won't go away. It won't until we are no longer fans.

Scorpio x I had seen a report that the wrap was Feb 17th which would fit with that. They have been shooting promo stills etc already but you're right the silence from ABC at the TCA's was surprising. My guess is its postponed again till summer. If that's the case I don't think that's a positive. Maybe the changes that were made to get it delayed last summer till springtime as was reported didn't come off as well as they hoped. To have an entire 10 episode series basically in the can with no clear air date seems odd.

I think she simply mentioned it because she knows the info is out there. I mean she roundabout commented back a couple of months ago on Twitter that her weekend NYC trip wasn't for MN but for the recent photo shoots we have seen.
Also her "officially-officially" thing can be read many different ways. I didn't watch Heroes either. Everyone's saying only the first season was good but the writers strike really hurt the show and the quality went down. I might check out the mini now if it is accessible for those who never watched the original.

Yeah, I'm not very interested in it, but work is work. I guess maybe that other show he was supposed to be involved with went nowhere. But I only ever caught glimpses of Heroes and I know it fell really hard really quick after its first season and a lot of people were thankful when it ended. I guess I'm kinda surprised but not really surprised they're bringing it back, they're so desperate for anything. But yeah, the writers strike hurt almost everything - clobbered Chuck's first season and forever affected its run, House was never the same after, etc.
gf4670 The first season was really good and earned a number of awards and nominations including Emmy & Golden Globe. yes, the writers strike after the second season did have a huge impact on it and the third and fourth season just lost all continuity.. It moved time slots in the second year to make room for Chuck - I remember being a little peeved about it at the time, but, who knew?It has as loyal a fan base as Chuck's and there has been a constant call for a movie/reboot/continuation since it was cancelled. NBC was very noncommittal for a long time yet here it is. Gives me a littl hope that the series that took it's time slot has a chance someday too.

I am optimistic that Yvonne Strahovski will appear at this year's Nerd HQ, even though she is shooting a movie in Canada right now. The Nerdmachine has posted a picture of YS and Zac Levi from one of their previous panels on their Twitter page in order to sell new Nerd HQ merchandise. If Yvonne could/wouldn't show up this year why not use a different pic with someone else to promote stuff, right? Hopefully, they will announce their panel line up pretty soon.
They also liked her video on IG as well. Again not proof but I agree that if she wasn't coming they would not mention her at all in any fashion. They know a huge number of folks will be disappointed if she isn't there so why stir the pot, why not just announce she won't be coming instead of teasing the fans? That's interesting. She's back with Schwartz and Fake Empire. It is a very different role for her and I wonder how much of it is being shot in New Orleans. It is listed as starting principle photography Oct. 6th so that fits with the rush back to the US. Is the entire series being shot there? It is listed as another 10 episode "limited series" for mid-season on ABC. Certainly a very different role for her and I have to admit being a big fan of the early NASA era I am quite intrigued. I do think this means that MN is probably at least delayed or a non-starter as many folks believed it would be. Also just read that Desmond Harrington is cast as well. So she's back with Dexter alum's too.
This is quite very different to her previous roles. Looking forward to this.

sam ruby Well what screwed up Chuck was Schwartz's love affair with teen angst and WTWT. Here at least there is no chance of that as she is married with 4 kids lol. But for many fans season's 1 and 2 of Chuck were the best, though season 4 is my favorite season 2 was the best written and executed. Those 2 were the ones Schwartz was most involved in though he was certainly responsible for the crap of WTWT in season 3. He had handed it over to Fedak for season 4 and 5.
Really looking forward to this! Also a big plus she is part of an orginal cast.
Dexter finale? What say you? and is Yvonne on the east coast ? She tweeted about watching the east coast finale of Dexter with Aimee Garcia. I thought it odd, she tweeted so soon after it ended Eastern time. Or can that happen with satellite subscription where you have Showtime east and west?
I think some overeager Yvonne fans should probably consider not suggesting her for every female role that comes up.
The most recent case being of course Supergirl, emphasis on the word *girl* whereas Yvonne is definitely a *woman*. The show has a Chuck connection with Ali Adler producing it, but I recall there being rumors about her and Yvonne having a falling out over something. I have no idea if those rumors are true or not, but they both follow lots of Chuck people on Twitter... except each other.
trine newstad As much as I wanted to see her on project soon, it's not a good idea. She can definitely do it but I'd rather prefer to see her in more mature role.
Scorpio x The press release says the character is 24 years old, Yvonne is 32. Though I want Yvonne back in regular series television IMO this isn't the role for her at all. It will probably go to a much younger unknown. It's as Trine stated it, overeager fans wanting anything in terms of work from her. She's been out of work for over 3 months now and the disturbance in the force is growing. I hope we learn something Tuesday because I still am very skeptical about Manhattan Nocturne.

Probably nothing, unless someone can confirm 100% that they used to follow each other and the mutually unfollowed. If that's the case, it's pretty interesting.

Looks like Yvonne is busy working hard. For some reason she has also taken at least a partial break from social media. She has stopped liking IG pics (something she used to do daily) and been pretty silent otherwise too. Hopefully all is well with her.
I think the reasons for this are probably pretty obvious and all in all a good thing. First of all this is a Josh Schwartz production and not a Howard Gordon/Jon Cassar production. I expect her days on set are longer. Maybe not approaching Chuck type days but still because of the nature of the show they probably can't do the same type of multi-episode simultaneous shooting that 24 could. It's also a period piece and her time in hair, makeup and wardrobe probably is a little longer as well. But secondly she either decided on her own or on the advice of some others to back off her social media presence and focus on the work. I think that's a good idea on both the professional level and probably the personal one as well. Let's face it she got burned by the Internet with the leaked pics and she was disrespected and embarrassed by her ex-boyfriend's ridiculous tirade on social media a couple of months ago. I absolutely believe that if she had still been with Loden or single and not with Frigone, none of that would have happened. So staying away from it for a while and waiting till the push for AWC comes after the first of the year to hopefully finally put all of that behind her makes a lot of sense. I mean Def has even seemed to have learned his lesson and because he is no longer taunting or harassing anyone and making a fool of himself and Yvonne he has been left alone as well. I mean look at this thread for the last 2 months. He's faded back into the woodwork and gone back to his old life prior to when he started all of this and I'm fine with that. It was always his disrespect for her and her fans and the snarky, arrogant and douchey way he came off that bothered me. I'm happy to never mention him again.
So now she is back to much of how she approached social media back before she went to the beach that early summer day in 2013. It's a useful tool for promotion and connecting with your fans but on a limited level. She experienced its potential downside first hand especially after she created her IG account at I can only imagine who's suggestion. Plus she is with Chazzy in her free time now and my guess is she couldn't be happier about that. So I'm fine with her being more private and taking this break to focus on her work and move forward from what could have been an even worse situation for her.

A few of us have some screenshots of it, but it was one of those you had to be there when it was happening kind of things. He just had a few things to say to some of us here that night when the leaks happened, things which largely backed up a lot of the negative stuff some of us had been saying about him over the past year+. And it's not something we're proud of being right about. I'm sure that we'd generally like to keep it between us and him at this point, especially since it was directed at some of us specifically AND because disseminating it would do a disservice to Yvonne, especially in light of what all happened. It's over, for now, and I think everyone involved is eager to move on.

I'm beginning to think some of Yvonne's "beach friends" are kinda mean-spirited. Like there is this one guy who comments on lots of IG pics pretty enthusiastically, never writing anything rude, but they (Frigone, Jessie, Kinga etc) make fun of him w/o him ever realizing it. Someone actually pointed that out in one of Kinga's pics but she deleted that comment quickly. At least I haven't seen Yvonne or Sarah L participating in mocking him.

Welcome. I've seen that for a while. The person obviously does not speak English and is using Goggle translate to make these posts. We all know how that can alter things and make it look weird. But I agree that their comments are never rude and in many ways extremely complimentary and enthusiastic in their appreciation for Kinga and the others. Sure with the translation issues it can come off a little bit weird but I don't get any sense that it is mean spirited in intent by the poster. I mean read some of the fan postings of others like Mini, Yvonne or a number of folks get and they are similar. Just enthusiastic fans. The simple and the classy thing to do is to simply ignore them but it is quite clear that this group, headed by you know who, have talked about it and this person mockingly and with the typical snark we have come to expect. It shows their well known lack of class but I'm kind of surprised and saddened that Kinga has participated in it. This person could be a child, disabled, or have some other problems yet they mock them. I thought that she at least was better than that.

trine newstad I've seen it at least 3-4 times and it usually starts with the nuclear physicist and a comment about "Oh this should be good" but I have seen Jessie start it as well. I'm not surprised at all by him being involved, nothing he does shocks me anymore, just look at his current IG profile text for a pretty disgusting example, but I do find the snark and smugness of Kinga and Jessie sad and disappointing.
Tony noms are announced tomorrow. Zac's category was described super competitive this year, so him getting nominated is highly unlikely, as much as I hope that wasn't the case.
He got a lot of praise for his performance, but I think actors in longer musicals (FD was only 90mins) with more solo performances etc will have the edge.

I don't get it, what does Yvonne Strahovski see in Albert Frigone? Okey, they both like to surf. Have you guys seen the interviews where she talks about what she looks for in a guy? I'll say this, the comments about Zach are irrelevant and to me just give fodder to those that want the blame all the negativity about Frigone on Zachonne shippers wanting the two of them together. That was the same argument about Loden and the negative reaction to him. But in Tim's case I think it was closer to the reality as Loden suffered from not being Zach when the series was still airing. The on screen and off screen chemistry was undeniable. I don't blame the Zachonne shippers too much as the show and them to an extent promoted that chemistry. It was a critical part of their success. It also was shown off screen and gave the fans a closer connection to them as people. So of course many would like to see it happen in reality. It's only natural. But it is unfair. Loden suffered for it but handled it with incredible class and dignity but it had to have an effect on things rightly or wrongly.
Now the case for Frigone is totally different. For me at least that scenario couldn't be farther from the truth. As Def himself has said, "It all depends on what you think you see." The reasons to be concerned about him are mainly his but in part her doing as well. It has nothing to do with him not being Zach. Def has shown himself to be clueless, insulting to fans, narcissistic and has on many occasions not shown her the respect she deserves. And it isn't just isolated incidents. It's a pattern of behavior that began months ago and continues to as recently as a couple of weeks ago. She has said she has quirky taste in men and this certainly is exactly that. But the problem is his disrespect of her, her fans and the career she has chosen. He has displayed no class, dignity or honest concern for her and how her fans see her. That is my objection with him and it has nothing to do with Zach Levi.
What "I think I see" is that she was upset with the breakup with Tim, saw the negative reaction to season 8 of Dexter coming and just like she wasn't happy with the Chuck finale, she had to know they dismantled a great character in Hannah from season 7 in season 8. She became one dimensional, the prize he would never deserve. So she did a Chuck rewatch and then went with a friend to the beach and met a surfing instructor who helped her with her water phobia and got her to find a new outlet for her "outdoorsy" life. With the breakup she had to sell her home of 4 years, gave up one of her dogs and she "threw in the towel" and rented in Malibu. He was there and her new friends were there. The beach bum life had an appeal after everything she been through the last 7 years and she threw herself into it. Def was part of that. But no one can ever tell me that there is a deep connection between them. The NYC pics are a clear example of that. He looks to be the guy who is hanging on to something he knows he is losing. There is no affection, no comfort level in being seen in public together. Yvonne just wants out of there and Def looks incredibly creepy and like he got hit by a Mack truck.
Then he escorts her to London because she probably didn't want to travel alone and once she got settled he came home. He's back in LA now and she is over 5000 miles away. What happens next is anybody's guess. We will just have to wait and see. But again Zach has no bearing on any of this for me other than I'd love to see them work together again. Chuck movie, Broadway or a rom com would be fantastic. But let's get over the idea that the large amount negativity towards Albert is based on folks wanting Zachonne. That is irrelevant and very over stated. But his behavior and how he comes across isn't.
Bob H What I really wonder is, how will Albert Frigone feel when he sees the chemistry between Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski. I've seen videos where Tim looks like no one when Yvonne Strahovski hangs with Zachary Levi on and off screen.
marcus svensson Well it is quite possible they have already met in NYC when she went to First Date. And as far as Tim goes he did much of that fading into the background because first he is shy. A number of folks I trust that met him have said that. And out of respect for Yvonne.
But my main point is that any comparison with Zach allows folks to simply dismiss legitimate concerns about Def as simply the work of crazy Zachonne shippers. Don't feed into that. There are plenty of reasons for negativity about Frigone. But as soon as Zach's name is brought up the legitimacy of the discussion gets dismissed.

It was great seeing Yvonne with Mini, Mercedes, Mekenna and Felix today. Those friendships are important for her to maintain I believe. Keeps her connected with things that truly matter, work, friendship and family. Plus the less we and she sees Def the better.

Seeing some things today I'm going to make an appeal to the readers and posters here. I hope you will follow me and no longer mention or comment publicly about a certain ex-boyfriend. It's bad enough to do it here but to comment on Yvonne's IG account is inappropriate and disrespectful to her. Plus the fact that he felt the need to respond to one such comment on her account shows again what "respect" for her means to him. Not much. But when we as her fans do that on her account it just stoops to that same level of disrespect. Plus the hypocrisy of calling out fans for "stalking his page" when we all know he has been obsessed with what is said here is pretty clear. So lets stop feeding his obsession. Thankfully, he is irrelevant now. A blip of madness that she has moved on from. They have broken up and she seems to be trying to rebuild her friendships with a number of folks that stepped back during these past 18 months. For that I applaud her. So I ask that we let him fade into a hopefully forgotten memory and leave him to lead his life as he chooses in private. Yvonne has moved on from him and so should we.

I was following along with this thread commentary as it was happening at the time. Strangest experience, revealing to me an apparent subculture of people, some of whom had either insider knowledge or at least familiarity with the inner workings of the business and the social media landscape surrounding it.
I don't know if you guys ever noticed this, but earlier this year she was also tied to some Turkish movie (or at least a movie filmed in Turkey) with Russel Crowe, It was only mentioned on a few Turkish websites, but some Yvonne fans did notice it. I believe it was supposed to start filming this past summer, but nothing ever materialized.
If Yvonne's Twitter/IG follows are any indication, her Ben Lawson phase didn't last very long... *shrugs*

sam ruby I'm not sure she will but its certainly possible. It's an Indie and she isn't the lead. We don't know how big a part it is but she may be back in time. She is likely to head to Sydney for a few days as well. But at least if she is going to miss it, it's because of work. For that I'm really happy and will give her a pass. Plus her working in Thailand gives me an excuse to rewatch Phase 3 and that's always a great idea!

It started shooting last week. Not sure if she will be in it the whole time but it does seem likely she won't be at NerdHQ. But again if its for good work, then I'm all for it. And an almost 3 month shoot internationally seems like a higher profile indie than MN certainly.

Good alert Nelly. Nice interview. Yvonne clarified a bit of her history and gave a little more details about coming to the US. Funny too, gf and I were discussing her management last night and after reading the interview, I guess we know why she remains loyal to them. Loyalty seems to be a huge thing for Yvonne and she once again laughs at how she is perceived as "classy". When she's comfortable with an interviewer, her engaging personality comes to the forefront.

I haven't seen anything other than he posted a few pics this weekend we can't see. And he has done that in the past when he wasn't with her. It's certainly possible he is but I've seen no proof of it. But no matter what if he is travelling with her or spending time with her I'm fairly certain she is footing the bill. At least during her time with Loden, he worked full time both at Comme Ca and at trying to get his career and business going. He took care of the pets, their home and didn't take advantage of the situation when she was away
Also taking this much time off at Prince Albert's age can be a problem when this all falls apart, which it definitely will some day. He isn't the young, talented, energetic kid that productions are looking for. And the older his resume gets the harder it will be to get work on his own. Plus his resume isn't much to begin with. A 45 or 46 year old guy who is still working at an entry level position? For that very reason I'd shy away from hiring him.
He has become nothing more than a gigolo now it seems. The only exception to that role is he has no personal style other than flannel shirts, surfing wear and army surplus jackets, and he is an embarrassment to her in public as witnessed in NYC. It's the reason she has hid him from the public even more than she ever did Loden. As a matter of fact her long time friends are still friends with Loden and not Albert even after 10 months together. So he may be her paid companion but she doesn't take him out in public anywhere they could be seen together and her be questioned about him. A pretty bizarre relationship if you ask me.
One last thing. If he has been with her as frequently as some believe, who is taking care of Chazzie? We know for certain that Tim has Willie since they split up and sold the house, but who has her beloved dog while she has been away for so long this time? A real boyfriend would have volunteered to take him, like Tim did at one point. Give him the good loving home while it allowed her to pursue her career. And with Frigone with her or occasionally working, who has Chazzie then? I'm now convinced Tim doesn't have Chazzie. Did she place him in a kennel for 4 1/2 months? Again pretty sad she can't depend on her boyfriend to take care of her beloved pet especially after she had to separate him from his almost life long companion dog after she broke up with her long time boyfriend and sold the house just a few months before.
So the more this goes on the more bizarre and unbelievable it becomes. I guess maybe it may be time to step back for a bit because nothing surprises me anymore. It is the absurd unfunny joke that will not end and I do want to enjoy 24LAD and Yvonne's talent on screen because off screen none of this makes any sense and it seems we are in bizarro land.

I really do think she convinced somebody in January that he was her bodyguard during the Frankenstein media period - you look at those videos and he's trying act all bodyguardy in his half-assed way getting out of the car and all that. It's an easy way to get the studio to pay for his flight and whatever accommodations out of the promotional budget. Unless she went "quick, pretend to look like my bodyguard so they'll disregard you." Which is weird and sad in its own way.
As for London, who knows, but that is like a $1500 flight at the cheapest. He could not afford to make that flight on a regular basis without some help. And I think he works mostly freelance and independent stuff, commercials, etc. Certainly nothing too regular. He obviously doesn't know many big names in cinematography as that's how you get work is through networking, or maybe he does and they either don't think much of his work or just him personally.
But I have no clue what's going through her head - either she knows it's just a fling and is having fun with it while it lasts or she really is just that dumb and naive. Both are possible. But as one person on Twitter said, the situation has "yikes" written all over it.

The fact she feels she has to hide the nature of the relationship or the fact that he accepts that she wants to hide him away. Neither viewpoint puts any positive spin on either one of them or the relationship in general. I can understand wanting to keep your private life private, but so much they did over the last number of months totally contradicts that idea. It was very much in your face if you were looking. And she was very good at honestly keeping the last few years with Loden private. The whole Def isn't "Hollywood" concept is also just so open to interpretation and none of it is positive. He has no class, no style, no drive or desire to succeed professionally and seemingly must be hidden way to avoid embarassing her with both his actions and his personality and behavior. Again none of that was an issue with Loden.
I agree he probably works freelance and gets some gigs here and there from friends or former co-workers but there is no evidence whatsoever of an upward trend in his career even long before he met Yvonne. He either accepts working in his mid-late forties in a moderately low paying entry level position on a crew or that is all he can find. All so he can hang on the beach, surf, hit on much younger women and accomplish little to nothing.
But it all does leave me scratching my head. With Loden I got it. I could see the reason behind the relationship and I could see the genuine love and affection between them. But here I quite clearly see the opposite. And it screams trainwreck. Plus, if 24LAD is successful and she gets more offers because of this role, it will become harder and harder to hide the disaster of a guy she is dating or whatever they call this as I'm not even sure its actually dating as they never go anywhere in public or on a real date. Plus that would imply he actually pays for something once in a great while. Playing tourist in England is one thing but when she comes home what happens then?
Well at least 24 is back tonight and we get to enjoy how talented she is professionally at least as Lord knows her personal life choices shine a very poor light on her lately.
I don't know what to call it but it's not dating it's really,really weird and odd however.

A great actress, very professional, hard working, and good to the people she work with. And by the end of this year, she will hopefully have proven to a bigger audience, she is much more versatile than many previously thought. Am I surprised directors and showrunners want to work more with her? Nah ;)

Zac has apparently sold his house of 13 years in Studio City, CA. I wonder if he is moving away from LA, maybe to NYC or Austin, or is just changing places. No Nerd HQ this year, selling his long-time house, a guest role on the "Psyche" movie. A lot happening these days.
Good interview for Yvonne's fans last night. She sure looked comfortable last night - maybe the most I've seen her on a national spot. She made some interesting comments like throwing in the towel and moving to Malibu and being a beach bum - it was like she was addressing some of her fans worries through Arsenio.
I had mentioned in an earlier post that I was disappointed in the decisions and some of her choices she had been making in regards to her fans, I have to say that has certainly changed over the past few weeks. True, having something to talk about (24) helps, but recently she has consciously involved her fans and kept them up to date. Her recent choices have had a positive effect on her fans and I'm grateful for that.

Well she is a smart woman and had to be aware of the growing frustration in the fanbase. For her to be oblivious to it all is extremely unlikely. I did find that choice of words about "throwing in the towell" interesting. Not sure if it means anything beyond the surface but one of the things this fanbase does a lot is parse every word. Remember the disaster that happened after Schwartz's "emotionally traumatic" comments at Comicon. In many ways Chuckpocalypse began there. She's smart enough to know she has to chose her words wisely. To me it was a bit of a mia culpa and acknowledged that in fact she had become a beach bum. Not that she was apologizing certainly or that she had to but she was mending fences by being honest. If the other troublesome behavior disappears I think she will easily recover the love and adoration of her fans that was strained by that behavior and apparant acceptance of the rather immature and narcissistic acts of others.

Does anyone know if that pilot that Ryan McPartlin shot a year ago for TBS got picked up or not? He didn't say anything about it on his twitter after he finished shooting it, I'm very curious 'cause his show actually sounded kind of funny.
It is what it is. How many times have people not connected like this ? Yvonne mentioned in early interview that she loved Comme,Ca, that's where Loden worked and they got together. I deduce a stronger bond being formed with the surfing lessons and instructor/student dynamic of overcoming psychological fears. She loves surfing now and he has mentioned surfing for 30 years. That's a bond. I'm with CW, not saying it's permanent or not, but it is certainly plausible in the realm of human relations.
If they were losing money, I doubt there would be talks of continuing the show next year. Zac's contract ends in January and he has expressed his desire to stay in New York so he might sign up, but he could of course be looking for another job there. He's been getting positive reviews for his performance so he might be tempted to find a play that the critics would praise as well. In a recent interview he talked about how he'd really like to be a part of something critically acclaimed some day.
I curious Forrest, I still have yet to hear you're honest thoughts on I,Frank, are you at least more optimistic than I am? I know I sound like a broken, but no matter how much I want to believe will be good and no matter how much I love and want to support Yvonne, nothing about that movie on its own merits seems interesting to me. Hell, I even went to the I,Frank panel at NerdHQ to see Yvonne and see if what they said peeked my interest beyond her and it didn't, what's your thoughts?

So, apparently Ryan McPartlin is filming another episode of Hart of Dixie and Yvonne stopped by and it was implied by his post that they are filming an episode together with her as his love interest. Do u think she's actually going to guest star, or do u think it was just a friendly hello where she stopped by the set?
Yeah, but I don't see her auditioning for pilot season this upcoming season, she's made it clear that she wants to focus on films right now (though she reiterated that she's open to more television in the future) but I think since I,Frankenstein opens during pilot season that she's waiting to see how it does and what it can do for her film career. Of course, since pilot season runs 'till March, she could audition in February 'cause that point she'd know whether the movie did well or bombed.
First Date is ending in January, they were trying to get Zac signed up to continue, but I guess that didn't work out.
Makes you wonder if he already managed to find another role that prevented him from continuing.
I had read that they got everybody else signed on to renew their contracts, but he was the sole actor who chose not to, wonder if he'll stick around NYC like he was suggesting before though, who knows.

jaff foo The bride in the pic with Yvonne, Mini and Mekenna is a different bride. She was just having her wedding at the same venue in Lake Arrowhead and recognized Yvonne from Dexter. That wedding was Friday night and the Cats were in the bar probably for the rehearsal dinner. Mini had said she was a bridesmaid that weekend and that wasn't a bridesmaid dress she had on that night. Yvonne asked the bride if she knew her from another show and she said no so she never recognized Mini or Mekenna. Mercedes wedding was on Saturday. You can read the bride's cousin's explanation on tumblr. She is the one who posted that really fuzzy pic of Yvonne through the birch trees. But Mercedes posted what was probably a honeymoon pic today on WhoSay and IG. So yes it was Mercedes wedding.
For final confirmation that it was in fact Mercedes wedding this past weekend, her FB cover pic now is a photo of her and David holding Mr and Mrs signs.

Funny sidenote, while they grew to like each other, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny didn't get along that well in the beginning (a fact they've both admitted), but their onscreen chemistry was always great. Now 20 years later, both having failed marriages behind them, they're apparently living together in a relationship.
Breaking Bad finale was AMAZING!!! Blew the Dexter and Chuck finales clear out of the water! What an amazing end to an amazing show!
I read that same thing, and yeah she does have a wicked sense of humor from what I can tell. That blog also mentioned how everyone but Zac is already signed up for next year. They're trying to get him signed, but the fact that he hasn't done it yet suggests that he's perhaps still looking for a bigger, better project to do.
That's a good point, I completely forgot that he was the one who didn't follow back on twitter for awhile, and even when he did start following he was the one who didn't say anything to her for a long time. It kinda reaffirms my suspicion that he has a one sided affection for her, that he's really into her, but won't admit it to her and won't make it known to her because knowing that she was with someone else for all that time he knew it wasn't meant to be so he distanced himself, poor guy. :(

But for me I think she absolutely will be there if she is available which based on what we know she definitely is. But ignoring their on again off again romance for a minute. Both of them know and realize that the success of at least some element of their careers and certainly the viability of NerdHQ itself is absolutely linked to them at least having a cordial professional relationship. She needs the nerds and NerdHQ needs her. Plus if they want to keep up the illusion that they are "just great friends" and not ex-lovers, they have to put that on public display or it just confirms what people have been discussing for a year now. They were "together" and it likely ended badly which neither of them want their fans to believe IMO. Not showing up says the breakup was worse than it likely was was. Google that video and see how much it pops. The guy that answered her tweet correctly guessed two or three times, before he got it right. It's a double album. She said it had been performed live in 1987. As a Prince fan, of all the songs he has performed live from that great album "Forever in My Life' does not immediately come to mind. In my opinion, you had to be searching for that song in particular. That's how random it is. Somebody introduced her to it and I would guess that someone was him.
Funny quick fact about Scott Buck, for as much as people like to shit on him, he was actually one of the lead writers on Six Feet Under from season 2 to its end, and wrote 2 episodes of Rome before joining the writing team on Dexter, which is interesting that Hall was obviously one of the main cast member for Six Feet Under and Stevenson was on Rome, since he wasn't on the writing team for Dexter 'till season 6, he had nothing to do with Hall's involvement, but had to with Stevenson's.
Early in her relationship with Loden she avoided appearances with Zach. I remember how odd that was at the beginning of S3 of Chuck. The same thing may be happening here with AF. She doesn't want anyone, especiall AF, to get the idea she and Zach are an item. Thus the no public happy birthday tweet to him and I'm betting she won't go to see First Date or at least there won't be a photo of them together if she does go. She's very aware of what the public wants to see happen w/her & Zach.

I think the photo speaks for itself. Also remember Frigone is a cameraman and photographer and what has Yvonne been doing a lot of lately? Taking a lot of photographs. I just hope she's happy and not doing the photos and surfing because it's what Frigone loves to do. I've seen people do that in relationships to find common ground with their boy/girlfriend and in the end they get tired of it. At least she's learning something fun. I wonder what Loden taught her, how to make a drink? LOL
What bugs me are those pics between Yvonne and Zac during the Nerd party and their tweet talk going along the lines with that ‘I long love you’ what is that suppose to mean? lol

I read about that, that made me want to cry because James Gandolfini was going to star in it, and of course he sadly passed away this past year, God bless him, very talented man, true, I'm not quite The Sopranos buff most other people are, but I have a great deal of respect for the show regardless.
