- In this Toy Photography Tutorial, I'll take you behind the scenes and break down my photoshoot featuring Xylona's Flock from the Mythic Legions line of action figures. I'll take you through my post-processing and editing workflow and give you some tips on using Lightroom to make your shots look better and Photoshop layers to combine images using masks.

Wow! Thats a lot of work. Well done.
Catching the replay brother 🤙🏼
Great behind the scenes tutorial 👏
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Thank you for sharing. I thought I was the only one that did multiple shoots on multiple days with figures with changes to positions and adjustments. Glad to see the process is common. Thank you for putting this video together.
It's so important to note how much lighting technique plays a role, just as much as if lighting for a full feature film. All the bouncing lights, color temperature matching, etc. This is a great way to introduce and reinforce this concept for fellow toy photographers. Excellent video! Looking forward to more.
Thanks very much! More to come
Fantastic tutorial Trevor! I hope people see this tutorial for what it is… extremely helpful. The pictures definitely do the figures justice. 👍
😂Thanks, Nick to - always good to hear!
Man, I absolutely love these videos you put out. I feel like I learn so much about lighting every single time. Really is helping me develop. Thanks for these.
Thanks very much! Definitely trying to do more. Let me know what else you'd like me to cover
As always, thanks Trevor for putting this together. I always learn something new with each one of these. Keep up the amazing work buddy!
Thanks very much, Christopher! Happy that you got something out of it!

Thanks, Cloud!
I needed this video bad lol Thank you for showing how you do your photos. Yes, a video on that dodge and burn would be nice. Thanks again keep up the great work buddy!!
Will do!!
Awesome video, Trevor. Super helpful. I'd love to know more about the lens distortion.
I'll show you Monday! Thanks, Nate!
Super helpful! I'm preparing for a shoot right now, cant wait to apply some of what I'm learning.
Awesome, thanks! Come back and let me know what helped with your shoot!
Just got home.. Better late than never. Hello Trevor and everyone.
Hey Ardion! Thanks for checking it out!
Thank you soo much for sharing this process! Beautiful work Trevor!
Thanks for watching, Moz!
I love this in-depth shot breakdown. This is probably the best mythic legion shot for me so far. For years, I have banned myself from using photoshop on my shots until recently when I discovered Mythic Legions and came to appreciate how incredibly awesome your shots are. I also have been curious about how beautiful the fog and smoke on your shots are. Now I know the secret sauce. I also Installed lightroom. There's a bunch of convenience feature that you've shown there.
One question, the lume cube colored lights, do you not recommend using them directly on the subjects because the light is harsh and is not spread better? I noticed that you are always using colored gels instead.
I sincerely appreciate you sharing this. ♥️👌This is awesome!
Thanks for that! Yeah, PS and LR are just tools to pull out the best in an image and don't have to be used to add all kinds of special effects or even to hide stands, etc.
Hey 1:6:12:18 Shooter! You are a professional photographer across multiple fields, and I was wondering about how you choose to edit your "toy photography". Meaning I edit on my iMac and then when I post to my phone, I usually have to make a few adjustments (usually exposure/brightness) because my computer is so much better and brighter. And then there is also the whole IG compression, etc. Do you edit for like it you're going to "Print" and then post whatever that result was? Do you edit with IG/Social Media or another medium in mind? Does this make sense? Thanks for any info
Very good question! Yes, I do have my monitor calibrated for print, so I do have to edit a little - sometimes on the phone - for social posts. Generally, they need to be a little brighter, sometimes need a little more contrast as well.
@@OneSixShooter thank you very much for the reply. Cant wait for your next photo and the next show🤘
