Wish you had a video where you sit and explain why you use the tools that you use and what effect that will bring to the pic. I know it would be a pain in the neck for you to be a 'kindergarten teacher' but I would really like to learn that bright light effect..! After months of playing with some tools I was able to make a small logo for myself but in my idea this 'Bright Light Effect" and 'Glossy Effect" are the two stuff that I need to learn to finish my logo. Btw...thanks for this video...kinda got an idea but still a confused beginner.
videos where you talk and explain as you go are so much easier to follow.
Thanks
I agree with some that a narrative would be immensely helpful and time saving ...but only for us 😂 Thanks for teaching!!
Great video, THANKS in capital letters :)
It was hard for me to follow your steps, because your mouse jumps so fast, and i guess, some things are "intuitive" that you did.. so it took me time to make it as close as yours, but I Managed and now I feel so proud :D
Once again - thanks - it's so amazing to learn!
I'll do a game effect based in this technique, thanks for the tut dude
dude this is super awesome. What does miter limit do?
I hope this article can help: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/mswanson/2006/03/24/miter-limits-in-illustrator-and-wpf/
good tutorial but some talking or captions would’ve helped make this a lot easier
Very Impressive! Thanks for sharing the Great Work!
Thanks for this Amazing tutorial.
I'm trying this on AI CC and when I change the transparency on the light beam to 'colour dodge' the blue from the gradient behind doesn't show through at all. It appears to do this quite well on the video making it look the business... is there something I'm missing???
Andrew Frewen you may use 100% black background, so to use "color dodge" I recommend not to use 100% black Background,
Thanks a lot.
Thanks Ladalidi. Actually my problem was that I was attempting this in CMYK, once I tried in RGB it came out perfect :)
Is there any way to make this work in CMYK?
trying to make transparent 0% on black shape
Andrew Frewen i am getting the same problem and it still isnt fixed
trying to rgb mode
Incridebly useful :D
Thanks alot sir :)
you just saved me in school :)
A awesome tutorial with very gorgeous effects
nice video . make more of this kind
I've been trying to use Magenta instead to create a glow effect, but its not going very well. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
y color dodge of mine is white? it doesnt blend with color or the oval
When I create the third (black) rectangle while making the pattern, and I choose the radial gradient, the pattern in the box underneath is not visible as it is in the video. I tried 6 times, taking my time to move step by step and I can't figure out what I;m doing wrong.
helped A LOT
great idea. Thank you!
Quite useful.
Thanks !
Thank you.
Nice one! Like to see more please :)
Cool but apparently when I drag it to the brush panel it contains an element that cannot be used and when i expand it it changes a lot :( not a brush!

not achieving the same effect after color dodge (6:18). It became blue. HAd to hide those two blue paths to get the same effect. but how the two path appeared, unclear.
I have re-created this tutorial check on my channel
Caraca que trampo
i'm new to illustrator so forgive me if this is a novice issue, but when i click the "divide" pathfinder button it sets my two vector objects out of alignment and divides them that way. i can't seem to find anything saying how to correct this issue. any advice?
whether you create vector objects meet each other
excellent.
good tutorial thanks.
what did you click at 1:35
+Vortext - Divide all shapes / under Pathfinder
Very unclear in some places
Hi, I am trying to create the glowing particle brush. It went great except i cant change the colour of the brush... I have no idea what went wrong. by any chance anybody can help?
+123die Joanna : if using this technic the color of the brush depending on the background color,
+123die Joanna : if using this Technic the color of the brush depending on the color background
ooohhh~ is because of the color dodge layer style right? Thanks for replying my question. Really cool tutorial you have though. ^^
+123die Joanna : thanks to
#Iconic
it doesn't work color dodge =(
Me too, :(
super hard to follow
If only you could talk a little... or at least had some written text to make it clear. Some of the mouse movements are not clear. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
Useful, thank you!
my offset path doesnt operate, please help me
What d mean it doesn't work?
@@LADALIDI I follow the guide but it doesn't work, it's offset path
did you expand it first before using the offset path?
@@LADALIDI yes I did
Did you mean the offset panel doesn't open or it doesn't work?
