Your videos always make me smile. I'm British and a native English speaker so I'd be happy to help you with English and you can help me learn Japanese?
I'm teaching 6th grade students English in Obihiro. I would like to show them this to inspire them. It's great that you didn't stop! And when you didn't know the words, you made funny noises!
I agree, you said your English is junior high school level but still you kept it up through out the whole video and it was always clear what you were talking about. Perfect or not, you set a goal for yourself and you did it just to improve, then uploaded it too! I think a lot of students can learn from your positive attitude.

Are you a Japanese? I really enjoyed watching this video of Ms. Yuka Chan, in which tourist spots and food are shown to educate people like myself about a little bit of Japanese culture. Her English may not be as good as a native speaker, but watching her trying her best to communicate with English speakers like myself makes me feel happy about it. Yuka, your english is getting better and it is good that you are trying. My late wife didn’t know how to speak, which she went to school for ESL ( English as a second language) course. It took time and patience but if she was here today and hear her speak you wouldn’t know that she didn’t know english. Yuka, keep practicing 🙏
This is actually an excellent way to practice a foreign language, even times when you just name things like "bridge", "fish", etc; it can definitely help you get used to thinking and speaking in your target language. Well done!
Thanks for taking use along with you. Your english is very good and will improve with practice. It was challenging for me to learn Japanese when I lived and worked in Tokyo for two years many years ago. I'm still so very grateful for the kindness and patience afforded me as I'm certain I made a fool of myself a few times but was never made to feel embarrassed. I have been trying to relearn the language presently.
When I was in Japan as a university student, I went to Asakusa with my friends. Some random Japanese university students showed up and offered us to show around if we want. They wanted to practice English with us. We had a great time together and it was such a cool experience to be able to hang out with people who I just met with. This video reminded me of that day. 😊
I actually didn't know that you could speak English this well. I thought you did a great job and it's easily good enough to have a full conversation. I love your personality very cheerful and pleasant, not to mention extremely cute. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing ❤

I tend to practice while playing video games, speak Tagalog with my Filipino father, and Spanish at my work. Keep up the practice and soon, you'll be able to articulate sentences very fluently. You've already got a good foundation for practicing English! Good luck!
I love learning Japanese because I know the differences and it’s funny seeing it from the other side of the coin. “ I enjoy talking to you, you” because they don’t refer to people directly normally. They’ll say there name, or the amount of people they’re talking to but since the internet is a lot of people she realized she could call us “you.” So cute I love the process of learning languages!
I'm happy that you're trying hard to learn and speak English. You're doing great. Wherever you go on this planet, English is the way to communicate around. Congrats Yuka chan.
Big thumbs up to your translator in the subtitles as well, they do a good job of translating not only what you are saying but also trying to say in a very natural way.
I like how even when she doesn't know a specific word she still manages to get across an idea, like "sun place" for "shade." I totally got it! I might even want to use that one myself. It's a clever method to get around not simply memorizing everything. Good job!
Yuka the way you struggle to speak English is so cute. And your voice in English is like an angel. You have such a pretty voice and overall your English speaking is super cute and I hope to see it again on the next video.

Awesome! Having an accent is perfectly ok as long as it's comprehensible. Fluency will come with practice. One thing that really helped me is watching English/American shows with subtitles. Best way to learn it is to immerse yourself in the culture :D
Wow I really like this English challenge 😊❤. Its so cute your voice sounds different when speaking english. Hope you can speak more english on your future vlogs Ms. Yuka Chan! ❤️❤️
Miss Yuka is sooooo adorable. Her natural unadulterated character taps my heart, walks gently in and takes up residence for as long as she wants. The way she refers to praying with her single hand back & forth is giggling inducing.
The way you form sentences, explain things around you, reminds me so much of my ex-Japanese girlfriend. She was always so bright and happy to explain everything in her funny way just like you ❣️ We even went to Asakusa and ate macha crepe, prayed and stuff. Best moments of life. This video makes me very warm.
Yuka Chan Konnichiwa! Thank you for the video! I worked with a Japanese company here in the States and they offered a Japanese language school. The school was only supposed to go for one month, but we liked learning so much the school lasted for 8-1/2 months! Japanese language is not easy for me because the order of the words was different. Also, I learned that Japanese have 35 different ways to count, and there are three types of lettering systems like hiragana, katakana, and kanji. So, it was fun to learn Nihongo, but very difficult for me to remember how to speak properly. I think you have done very well with your English language! I see that even when you don’t know the word, you still try, and give the Japanese word like uchiwa. We say “fan” for uchiwa. But, the word “fan” also has a double meaning… it is short form for “fanatic”, but we also call enthusiastic people “fan” as well. This is what makes English so difficult, especially for someone who is trying to learn. Arigatou!
Omg it would be so much fun to hang out with her for a day and struggle with Japanese and English together 😂💗😂 You did great! I'm always struggling with Japanese so this is a great way to practice!

Well done! Well done for trying and for not giving up! Every attempt is a victory on its own! I look forward to seeing you improve further 👍
Thank you Dirk Christeaens😊✨
I will continue to study English hard!!!
I love her ❤
Thank you Yuka chan. You have a strong base to quickly learn English fluently. I think you just need people to speak with on a daily basis, for a couple of hours at least. Online gaming had me go from bad English speaking to fluent really fast, it was long ago but i am so thankful for that, i rarely meet anyone speaking and understanding English as well as i do in my native country.
Gambatte and look forward to next English speaking video!
Great job and great video! Loved it. Very entertaining too.
Very brave of you to speak English the whole video. I learned a couple of Japanese words too. ❤
You are doing so great with English Yuka. Have great week from Canada 🍁
Cutest video ever. It made me so very happy! You did an amazing job with your English. Thank you for your bright happy smile.
I’m from America, and I am very interested in Japanese culture and Japan itself because it’s absolutely beautiful. I was recently in Japan and actually visited Senso-Ji just a few days before this video was made. Thought that was kinda cool. Also your English is actually not that bad! It’s understandable to the native english speaker. I’m also learning Japanese and I’m about on the same level 😅
Thank you for trying to speak English ! I had fun watching 🥰
Yuka chan
Your English is good Yuka chan. And concentrating on speaking English is difficult when it is hot 🥵. Great video. Have a nice weekend everyone. ❤❤❤
I understood all of the things you said, and I'm not even a native english speaker.
It's very brave of you to speak english on a youtube video, thank you for trying to communicate with your international fans😊
Yess!
Wow I love how confident you are! I have all new respect for anyone learning 2 languages! Learning Japanese currently and its tough!
Well done, Yuka! Very few beginners try to speak in public, especially on camera. But despite that, you have encouraged yourself to give it a try. Well done brave Japanese lady! Arigato gosaimas🎉❤
I understand your english better than I can understand some Americans. Keep up the good studying.
Can yuka-Chan be any cuter?
Yuka: (speaks English)
Me: 😵 😂 👏
Awesome! Having an accent is perfectly ok as long as it's comprehensible. Fluency will come with practice. One thing that really helped me is watching English/American shows with subtitles. Best way to learn it is to immerse yourself in the culture :D
The beauty, kindness and nobility in your personality are beyond lovable.
Eigo jouzu! It's pretty good. While not perfect, I can at least understand what you are trying to say. It's much better than my Japanese.
She was always so bright and happy to explain everything in her funny way just like you ❣️
We even went to Asakusa and ate macha crepe, prayed and stuff. Best moments of life. This video makes me very warm.
This makes it sound like she's not japanese anymore, not that she's not your girlfriend lol
Es increible lo adorable que es Yuka😍
Suzuki oo suzuki...🎶🎶
Jebutshu site kore🎵🎵🎵
FELICIDADES E SUCESSO !!!! BEIJO DO BRASIL !!!! O BRASIL GOSTA DE VOCÊ !!!!
Censoring your mouth is hilarious 😂
I used to speak Japanese, but my friend moved back to Japan in 1993. I have no one to practice with. Your English is great! Thank you for the tour!
You look like a living doll in your kimono & braids with ribbons...very lovely young lady...
It's so nice to see you can go around Japan's tourist spots without getting constantly harrassed by scammers and peddlers, unlike in European cities like Paris, Rome, or Prague.
I like this video! I’m an American and it’s always nice to see Japanese people speaking English. Practice practice that’s the way! At least I tell myself that learning Japanese!
I saw one of your videos by accident and I am glad I did. Love the way you say “Mission Conplete!”
Wow. I wish I had the confidence to talk a foreign language on RUclips. Well done!! I'm impressed with your English and your self-confidence.
It's fun to watch this. Yuka-chan's English is much better than my Japanese. Let's keep studying!
There's learning a language which many people can do. Then there is actually communicating which is much harder. Your English is coming along fine. But you are a natural communicator which is more of a gift. And you have it.
You did a great job. Keep practicing but don’t forget what a beautiful language yours is. Thanks
You would do just fine in any English speaking country! I couldn't get out of the airport in Japan. 😊
Let's just say that your English is much better than my Japanese and I have been studying for three years. You did very well, thank you!
She speaks the amount of English that I can speak in Japanese. Love it. Great job.
Speaking in another language like English is really hard at the beginning, and You plucked up the courage to speak in English!
That's great!
"Where there is a will, there is a way"
Sooner or later you will become fluent in English.
It's inspiring, useful and helpful.
Thank you!
