I purchased the H5075 and H5074 thermo hygrometers a while back but had not gotten around to testing them until tonight. I can confirm, that when paired with a plug and gateway both can trigger based on humidity. I cannot however confirm if they are accurate when it comes to humidity. This was one of the first things I tried to do but my thermo hygromiters would not show up as triggers. I asked Govee support this question, and it sounds like most of their thermometers do not support triggers, they did specifically say that the H5075 thermometer would support this feature via automation but I've not tested it yet. You may be better off going with an INKbird controller InkBird makes wifi enabled temperature controllers that not only have a built-in thermometer but also have dual plugs so you can both trigger heating and cooling. The H5100 thermo hygrometers do NOT support automation so will not work.
There is nothing technically stopping You from doing that. look up the amperage/wattage limit for the smart plug you are using and keep your total load below that. If it’s only in amps you can convert using the formula volts x amps = watts. Typical household voltage is about 120 volts. In general id recommend keeping the total load under 750w for smart plugs though they often say they can handle 1000 to 1500 watts. You can also just use multiple smart plugs
It it’s a dumb humidifier that turns on and off when it’s plugged in / unplugged then it should be possible. If it has an on button that has to be pressed each time it’s plugged in then it should there would be some custom mods that would need to be made to the humidifier.
@@robertlevasseur8896 From the home screen select automation at the top then click the + sign select your sensor and under the IF clause you can select the humidity of your sensor. I've several video's on it for different sensors if you want to see the walk though.
@@robertlevasseur8896 not all Govee sensors work with automation. It’s unfortunate that this information is not more available. I don’t have that particular model to test but Govee support is usually somewhat responsive if you contact them from inside the Govee app. I asked them a while back which ones support automation and did some videos on those ones.
Intresting problem the app does not seem to be setup well for this sort of time line. You potentially could segment the portions of the day into different automations. Else you may want to consider moving to a home automation platform like home assistant or matter
What can I do if my round outlet clicks on and off just like it should, but the lamp will not click on and off? I checked the bulb. I have it in the ON position and then plug it in and nothing happens.
Sounds like your saying that the smart plug turns on and off but the attached lamp stays off. First thing i would do its plug in an always on night light and check to see if that turns on and off with the smaller plug by pressing the button on the smart plug. Both the blue led on the smart plug and the always on night light should come on at the same time. Another thing to check is that the metal plugs on the lamp are clean and shiny if they have any build up / discoloration/ paint / tape on them then that could cause problems. If the plug only fits loosely into the smart plug then it could be that the plug on the lamp is not making good contact.
From my experience Govee devices are blue tooth first then Wi-Fi . I believe these devices also support being a distributed Wi-Fi gateway for some blue tooth only devices . With that said I’ve not played with these in a bit so I can’t give a definitive answer right now.
Ya i tried that, i even held them both for longer and nothing happened... its all good, I ended up just using my old google home device list which had the plugs already registered
If I buy govee thermostat then will I be able to off the smart plug when humidity reach 70%?

Thank you so much Sir!! This is not only a great review but the best and most thorough review on here. I appreciate you!! 👍
Thank you!
Can i use it as main from the wall outlet and then plug in extension cord/surge for multiple devices?

Great review. Can you rename outlet 1 and outlet 2 to something along the lines of lamp and fan?
Yes each outlet has an editable name field. Glad you liked the video! Thank you.
I have a govee temp/humidity monitor and smart plugs. Can this be used to turn a non-govee humidifier on/off based on humidity level?

@@WhisperingWildMarketFarm for some reason the sensor doesnt show up even though its connected and appears in the devices. It's an H5051

There seems to be a limit to the number of timers. How can I set it up to power on for 15min, then off, for every hour?

Will the timer still work if the phone is not in the same (wi-fi) area?
I just tested this with the dual plug model. I set a timer then turned my phone off. the timer still functioned.

You should be able to get into pairing mode by holding the power for approximately 6 seconds until it flashes between colors.
