Jerry I seen my dad have affairs and somewhere it screwed with my self worth and enthnics.. Were in turn I have devalued myself and my spouse and as I gotten older and wiser and with counseling from your channel and physical support. I’ve gained knowledge and self worth and the orgin of my childish illicit behavior, it’s been a long challenging road of redemption and I wanna say thank u...for the insight in a dysfunctional family unit and generation of curses.

Once again, your topic has me saying "my gosh, that's us!" I know more about my mother now... I'm just like her, except that I have a chance to change through awareness, processing pain, and consciously choosing different behavior. I'm not out of the woods, though :/

Wow! You've helped me to shift the focus from "What's inherently wrong with me?" to "Where the hell did this trend begin?". My pattern is as follows: Married (3 yrs) to a man who was a serial adulterer, divorced him, moved right into a long term (8+ yrs), supposedly committed relationship with another serial cheater. When that was over. I was briefly involved (6 mos) with a man who was not divorced but claimed he was. My final relationship (4 yrs) was with a Catholic married man with three kids. As it progressed, learned that he was a carefully closeted, high functioning alcoholic. I always have relationships with people who are, for one reason or another, completely unavailable, especially in an emotional sense. Finally stopped even dating, let alone getting involved. This is the first of your videos I've watched. I feel a marathon coming on. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge on YT.

I know someone who had multiple marital affairs from the VERY beginning and continuously throughout the 21 -year marriage - from the very of his marriage. Hoarding and sugar addiction were also present....

this is so very wise (no pun intended). I once played "the other woman" to a married man and THAT role ALSO begins in the family of origin...long before I was ever born. the roots are multifaceted and I may never know the whole of it. It came from both sides of the family. It is also an excruciating and traumatizing role to play but great family system healing can come from the aftermath. It took me many years to overcome the trauma but now I am able to be in a much more supportive, somewhat "normal" relationship. I could say much more but I'll leave it at that :)

Some people are sex addicts. Their spouse, who isn't an addict, could never support their needs, even if they were aware if it. Untreated this person desperately wants to be married but at the same time has no self control.

My grandfather was a cheater, along with my great-aunts. My parents had a monogamous marriage till he died this year--62 years. I've been with my husband since 1978 with no cheating. So it certainly wasn't passed down in my family, though it may have been for other relatives.

tickmann what a crazy thing to say about weight. People struggle for various reasons "sometimes" yet o have someone make a comment "glad to se you lost weight" is truly insane! He's trying to talk NOW ABOUT A VERY PAINFUL experience for MANY who's hearts have been ripped out and walk as if dead with just skin covering as if a shell and YOU say "glad to see you lost weigh"!!!!????!!!???!!!???
What the hell is wrong with people.

Elena Hojko calm the hell down Elena. He most likely didn't mean anything bad. When you respond the way you did the only thing people think is; Well, Elena must be offended because she is over weight. Being overweight is not a norm, it kills ppl therefore progress to reverse it should be praised.

Marion Cobretti SHUT UP! I am NOT overweight at all even thought you think you can see through the Internet ... 🤔
It was a matter of being courteous since you obviously don't know what that means.

Cheating is part of life even if one gets married the spouse is gonna have an affair outside the marriage idk y men do this you got married an you made a commitment to your wife an before god an you still cheat on her so going to the alter to exchange vows do sent make any sense because all your get is unbearable heartbreak an pain an trauma so I don't see the reason getting married if you gonna cheat

People have extramarital affairs because people are born with a sin nature. People would rather live for their own sinful pleasures than live for God.
