    KURKURI BHINDI
    Preparation Time: 40 minutes
    Cooking Time: 20 minutes
    Serves: 2
    Course: Main Course
    Cuisine: Indian
    Ingredients
    250 gms lady finger/ bhindi
    salt to taste
    ½ tsp red chilli powder
    ½ tsp coriander powder
    ½ tsp cumin powder
    1 tbsp dry mango powder
    ½ tsp chaat masala
    ¼ cup gram flour
    2 tbsp rice flour
    Salt to taste
    1 tsp chaat masala
    Oil for frying
    Method:-
    ● Wash the bhindi completely and wipe them dry with paper towel.
    ● Slice them into one by 4 vertically.
    ● Sprinkle turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam
    masala powder, dry mango powder, chaat masala powder and salt on bhindi one by
    one.
    ● Mix the bhindi well with these masalas. Sprinkle gram flour and rice flour on top of
    the bhindi and make sure the bhindi is well coated.
    ● Marinate the bhindi with this spice mix for an hour.
    ● Heat sufficient oil in a kadhai to deep-fry the bhindi.
    ● Fry the bhindi till crisp and golden brown.
    ● Drain the excess oil on an absorbent paper.
    ● Sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot.
    Note: Kurkuri Bhindi can be served as is or even with a bowl of curd and some rotis on
    side.

    I tried this recipe but the only exception I did is that I didn't remove the seeds (time crunch). What I did I kept the dry batter with the ocra for about 15 minutes. The seeds released a lot of water which ultimately binded the seeds. The taste was heavenly especially when you're coming home from work and need something easy but tasty for dinner. Next time I'll try to make it without the seeds. Thanks chef

    Making cooking videos is an art and you have started a new genre.. I watched Sajeev kapoor earlier.. and I was like "kya yaar ye Indian chef".. then I switched to Ramsay.. Joshua.. Babish.. But..     I also make a kind of kurkuri bhindi where I cut the bhindi in kind of diagonally small pieces...coat it with cornflour, soya sauce n pepper...fry it and Viola! I'll try your kind of kurkuri bhindi now. Although cutting it as u showed looks like it would be quite a time taking process.

    U r the best .... Aapke jaisi cooking show aur koi ni BNA skta coz u always explain the alternative of every thing which is the best part.....I do remember when I watched Ur cooking show for the first tym....u used celery in Ur dish...I thought let it be I won't be able to find celery in India ....then n then u told the alternative of that to use coriander stem...from that day I became fan if it's😘

    I knew the secret ingredient. But didn’t know the tip of removing seeds and the touch of lime can be the magic. So for me that’s the secret trick of the recipe/ cooking. Thank you for sharing.

    @CHEF RANVEER BRAR I bet if your channel would have started with such easy description and detailed in every minute way possible. My dad would have been die-hard fan of yours.
    He just loved crispy bhindi loads as now I came to know about removing seeds. So will definitely try it once

    You are absolutely right about the origins of bhindi. In some African countries, they roast the mature seeds of okra, grind it up and make a coffee from the powder. It's a good alternative for coffee and doesn't contain caffeine.
