Based on this video , I plan to visit in hopes of finding that "Medusa " esque bust which should be from either Libya or Morocco . This video prompted me to do a quick search . There are those who subscribe to the idea that the "real " Medusa was an indescribable beauty who left those who gazed upon her literally frozen . Lastly her alleged snakes were actually her beautiful what we would refer to as locks or braids . Thank you for the inspiration / I want that piece or similar (btw those into onomotology Medusa means cunning ).
Hi Eric, Thank You for your informative comment! The Ekoi People from the Cross River region in southeast Nigeria also make this style of mask and are quite collectible you can find them online, but being on the hunt at the flea market is a lot more fun!😊
