Yes, she writes her own lyrics and it's mostly very personal. This time she writes about their homeland - Ukraine, and the war that going on there for many years. Lyrics - "This house is not a shelter anymore" "I want my Home back" "Don't you make us homeless!"
It's not just war in Ukraine, it's RUSSIA's dastardly hybrid war against Ukraine with occupation of Crimea and Donbass, where Jinjer's hometown is. Jinjer became refugees and moved to Kyiv, but their families are still in the occupied looted and ravaged by ruSSia war zone under military-mob contriol with curfews, destroed economy and lack of human rights and laws.
And the thing is… no one ever knew this was happening. Western Society thinks it started in 2019-2020 but it actually started in 2008, and really popped off in 2014
She writes all the lyrics. The band composes the songs and when complete, gives it to her for lyrics. She has said that Eugene helped with some lyrics on the Micro EP, but otherwise 100% her. Considering English is not her native tongue, this is above impressive to me!
Hi Jennifer , Merry Christmas. Tatiana has written 90 % + of the lyrics. Eugene wrote the lyrics to Dreadful Moments , Sit Stay Roll Over and the third verse in Pisces . I'm betting he also wrote the lyrics to Dip a Sail. I meant to ask him but , when I met them before the show I was at , I forgot.
Very much so. :( it is some very real stuff. Also, though written from their experience, they are telling the truth of civilians all over the world that our leaders from Bush to Putin would rather sweep under the rug.
There music speaks so much of being from the Eastern Ukraine and the ongoing conflict between them and Russia. Put yourself in there shoes and experiance the music from there point of view. This was a Very... Deep... Song.
Being from Myrtle Beach, it still blows my mind that you’re from Florence, Hollywood. Haha Anyway, I’d call that kind of person charismatic. Tati is a self-confessed introvert...but she has so much charisma and swag that when she flips the proverbial switch to performing, she’s magnetic. She’s also a great actor. And yes, exact same band members as Pisces. This song is deeply personal to them. It’s about the war in their home of Ukraine. Their bassist Eugene said this about the song: “War... War never changes and it never stops. No matter how much grief, misery, suffering and pain it brings there will always be individuals who either reap the benefits or just relish in it's power. They will drive others to march and kill in the name of... for the sake of... if we look really closer... nothing. It is really hard for me to embrace how people in the 21st century still believe that there is something to fight for on any battlefield. We all depend on a few major economies in the world and their national currencies. We all are at keystrokes length through the Internet. And yet... every day people are driven to kill their true brothers and sisters on our one and common land we call Earth. Then 2020 comes around and there is a glimmer of hope that this might be a turning point. That a common threat will unite all of us and this might be the beginning of a new era... but no. They still march and kill. Every war is a tragedy and a crime against humanity in my opinion. No matter what your beliefs or ideologies are, nothing justifies taking homes, health and lives of innocent children who inevitably suffer in every military conflict. Imagine hundreds of thousands of refugee children around the globe screaming at once: I want my home back!” Glad you guys enjoyed it! I knew you would. 🤘🏻🖤
To be honest, I think Tati is actually an anxiety driven extrovert. This is actually more common than you'd think, but it would explain her crazy on stage persona that she gets into when she performs, or how she acts in an environment where she feels safe (like with her friends). Introverts don't really fall out of their quiet shell like that, because that is simply their persona. But an extrovert with anxiety acts seemingly like an introvert, because they're nervous about everything - even in interviews she gets a cold sweat. That being said, I think she manages this a lot better if we compare current interviews to very old ones.
I think the tea party is about trying to maintain normalcy even if sheltering in one's basement. I think the masks suggest there is more to it though, but I haven't unpacked it - it seems significant that the masks are dog, cat, and rabbit though which suggests a symbolic relationship (maybe cats and dogs fight but they both eat rabbits? Dunno). I know quite a few introverts who have learned to be very talkative, sometimes even downright overcompensating. So I can totally see someone like that being the life of the party. Probably be wiped out the next day and just binge netflix tho haha. Jen G. was already a longtime Jinjer fan when I discovered them a couple of years ago too.
In a drum kit, splash cymbals are the smallest accent cymbals. Splash cymbals and china cymbals are the main types of effects cymbals. The most common sized splash has a diameter of 10", followed by 8". Most splash cymbals are in the size range of 6" to 13", but some splash cymbals are as small as 4".
The lyrics relate to the ongoing war conflict in the Donetsk region they come from in Ukraine.. they definitely want all this horrific stuff away from their country and go and visit their families
It's not just "war conflict in the Donetsk region", it's RUSSIA's dastardly hybrid war against Ukraine with occupation of Crimea and Donbass, where Jinjer's hometown is. Jinjer became refugees and moved to Kyiv, but their families are still in the occupied looted and ravaged by ruSSia war zone under military-mob contriol with curfews, destroed economy and lack of human rights and laws.
Maaaaan I know these Jinjer videos are a year old but you guys really need to react to her vocal play through of Judgement & Punishment. Her by herself looking SHHHMOKIN as usual just absolutely killing it. The songs grooves with a nice reggae feel and of course heaviness.
What is this?! What is this mess?! What's that noise? Is this a death sentence? Terrifying silhouettes Rising over the motherland. Are those the fireworks? No. it's a military quirk. Is it a mermaid singing? No. it's a siren screaming. Is it an angel watching over us? It's an air-fighter making a fuss. Why is this party looking so bizarre? A party? No! this is W.A.R. My darling, did we wake up like this? Isolated bodies in a boudoir of helplessness. A bullet is an early bird, a midnight owl. Morning greeting of a rooster are replaced With fire in a hole. My dear, do we have to go to sleep like that? With a soothing cocktail and the hundredth cigarette. Morning greeting of a rooster are replaced With FIRE IN A HOLE!. Our beds are cold, As cold as basement floor. Our beds are cold, As cold as basement floor. This house is not our shelter anymore. Anymore. Home is not a building, Home is liberty. A place where memories live In prosperity and peace. I came back home so I want my home back I came back home so I want my home back. Don't you leave us homeless! Don't you leave us homeless! Homeless homeless.
Hello from Connecticut...This is one of their most serious songs yet at the same time this song swings like nothing they've done before . That opening is pure swing and as always Eugene is killing it..He is the Cliff Burton of this generation...And Tatiana sings that middle section like a born pop star..If JINJER were an American band she would have gone solo already..Good stuff...Peace from the Northeast.
Want more Jinjer suggestions? You should react to: "Outlander", "Perennial", "Teacher Teacher", "On the Top", "Judgement (& Punishment)" (this last one has a one-take live vocal performance by Tatiana, you gotta react to this version)
I can’t wait to hear what else they come out with. I know she said in an interview that she doesn’t want to be known for most of her early songs and basically to watch out for what they come up with. They are basically finding their groove still. My fingers are crossed that some day you guys get an interview with her. She seems like a very genuine and nice person
She absolutely writes her own lyrics. Having said that, she did say from time to time Eugene might help her out with a couple lines if she gets stuck. I believe Dreadful Moments and Sit Stay Rollover are the only two songs where Eugene wrote the lyrics by himself. English is not her first language and she still does a better job than a lot of native English speakers. The thing that really makes her lyrics stand out is that she pours her soul into what she writes. So many lyricists just make word salad and write for the sake of having words to sing, but she draws from her deepest feelings and emotions. Tatiana is also very introverted, she loves hip-hop, but as far as I know has not done any collaborations with any hip-hop artists, at least not for as long as she's been a part of the band. They've also recently said that they are not a fan of collaborations and don't have any intention on ever doing one unless they see an opportunity that they feel is right and fits what Jinjer is. These are all the same members that were in the Pisces live session, however in the studio version the previous drummer, Dmitriy Kim was on drums. Also: "I came back home, so I want my home back.", that's the line where the title comes from.
Its so awesome that this band got you into metal. Lamb of God popped my cherry way back in 2005, I love seeing new metal fans just being born today! I think its amazing that Jinjer is that inspirational to people.
rewatching this reaction... AGAIN...was struck by your extrovert/introvert talk. funny that shortly after this jinjer released the single "wallflower" which is like an introvert anthem and would have answered many previous questions.
For another Jinjer reaction, you should do a song from their recently released live album. Maybe 'Retrospection' , where she sings in Russian for the first quarter of the song.
It's Jinjer time and I will always be here for that. There's only one song left pausing Death and the whole album macro will have videos. The album is a year old but still amazing. So the song is called home back because where they are from there's a war with Russia. The city that they are from is occupied and at war. So they can't go home. Get it they want their home back. The angle is a flack pattern that jets use to not get shot down. Rocket go to the hottest heat source. The angle. Happy holidays and peace from Alaska. The boys write the music and Tatiana writes the lyrics.
Tatiana wants her home back. The war in Ukraine took it from her in this song. Thus, Home Back.

I heard somewhere that in the "tea party" the other two characters are supposed to be the dogs of war ... The song is about the war in their country and how they want their home back after the war
Yes, she writes her own lyrics, and the song isn't about the war machine, it is more specific, it is about Russia's invasion of Ukraine (their home) the lyrics towards the end "I came back home, so I want my home back" is where the title comes from... Basically the whole band was from a border town in Ukraine but they had to move to the capital because of Russia's invasion and occupation, they want their home back. Edit: also, the bands name isn't in reference to Tatiana, actually none of the current members of the band, including her, were in the band when it formed, but the lineup is the same since there live session of pisces (the album version was their old drummer). The name is actually an onomatopoeia (like "bam" or "bang") for the sound of guitars... At least that is what Eugene (bass guitar) and Tatiana have said, but even they aren't sure, as neither were involved in the bands naming.
I think this title was translated from her native language to English and it was a literal translation and this is how it came out which is why the title was what it is.
You guys are awesome. Really enjoying the channel. Have you done any Circa Durvive yet? I'd love to see you react to Stop the Fuckin Car (studio ver). Drumming is amazing.
Usually when it comes to rock groups it's the guitar for me even with rush with the great neil peart but when it comes to Jinger it's the drums for me. It's like the drum is a melodic percussion in their musical piece.
I'm pretty sure you've not done "Pit of Consciousness" by Jinjer. I would highly recommend the "live in Kiev" version, but on your own after watch the official video.
Yes Tatiana does write her own lyrics and I read that song was personal to the band because it deals with the never ending war that's been going on in the Ukraine for all their life times so in retrospect I suppose that they are one of the bright lights to come from the unfortunate darkness that has been over the GREAT CITIZENS of the UKRAINE
The song is about war in their home country Ukraine. They want their lives, homes, family, etc, that were torned by war back, hence the line "This house is not a sheltter anymore". Great song and a hell of a video, their best one in my opinion. You gotta do more Jinjer in the channel, they are something else. Peace.
Please check out Jinjer: Judgement and Punishment one take by Tatti! You will see a different side of their influence and a good look at her vocal ability.
This song is about the Russian invasion of the Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea in 2014. I could be a little off with a few details but from what I remember from one of their interviews this song is about coming back from one of their first tours outside of the Ukraine and being unable to get back home. Fearing for her safety the band arranged for Tati to go stay in a safer part of the Ukraine for months and all the time she just wanted to go home and be with the band and her friends.
Hey guys, could you react to the band "Oddko" and either their song "Disobey" or "D4TM"? It's a very unknown, but very great band with a very unique style. Their vocalist also did most of the music videos by himself and helped creating movies like Pacific Rim. I think, you would like it^^
Trash Talkers- yeah it is an album celebrating the ten years BABYMETAL has been a band it it goes through songs that have been chosen by "the one." They are remastered and in January they will be back at the Budokan to perform this album!
Hemlock: Scam Artist Sykotik Sinfoney - Manic Depresso. Great Holiday song to react too In this Moment: The Promise SOULFLY - Rise Of The Fallen Cavalera Conspiracy - Killing Inside
She's genuine bro. Y'all putting too much emphasis on Tati. She writes most of the words, melody...but at the last minute. Classic procrastinator. The guys write the music. Honestly due to RUclips magic it takes less than 30 minutes to figure out how they tick. PS: check out her collaboration with Suicide Silence as they cover Nirvana! Enjoy.
@@Godspeed1756 You as well my brother. So Ive been called upon to toast next Toolsday. Talked to Triads, I would like your input as well. Since you have direct connection to our boys. You in?
You have only done Pisces, Teacher Teacher, Perennial, Cloud Factory, Noah and Home Back? Do I see that right? This song is about the war in their home region in eastern Ukraine, which they fled when the war started in order to continue to make music. They eventually ended up residing in Kiev, but they have been basically on tour ever since, just make ends meet, right until covid came along. That was their longest break without touring, they had about a few hundred shows in the last couple years alone. Official video suggestions: I Speak Astronomy Pit Of Consciousness Retrospection No Hoard Of Value (official lyric video) Sit Stay Roll Over Live suggestions: Who Is Gonna Be The One live On The Top live in Kiev Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev Judgement & Punishment live in Melbourne Spiritbox also had their new song Constance released. Which is a tribute to Courtney's grandmother that died last summer, which she could not visit nor attend her funeral due to the closed borders. Her grandmother wanted her to sing a song on her funeral without the extreme vocals, so this song is a way to cope with all that. The video is made by a guy called Dylan, the song is named after his grandmother which suffers from dementia and you will see her as a nurse on a photo in the video too. The whole video is mostly about the topic of dementia and you'll see why and how. After Holy Roller, which was their heaviest song, Constance is definitely their "heaviest" and probably deserves a bit of a trigger warning - there are several reactors who ended up crying because they could relate so much to it. Another grossly underrated band you might be interested in is Infected Rain and their Vocalist Lena Scissorhands, which is actually a friend of Tatiana. I'd start with their songs: Orphan Soul, Black Gold, Enslaved by a Dream, Mold, Earth Mantra. There is also a song called You Against Me, which has a low quality bootleg version with Lena and Tatiana singing together, but Tati's mic was unfortunately also way too low.
Merry Xmas, boys. You haven't played any old school Black metal yet.???? 🙄 What about Mother North by Satyricon (official video) or Freezing moon by Mayhem. (No video) The first is to prefer. Thanks. 😊 Stay safe 🤘🇺🇸🇩🇰🤘
Tatiana Shmailyuk is an extreme introvert (her own words) and that Pisces got all that attention, she hated it and she hates all the hype there is about Jinjer. Just for information an Introvert can do whatever and extrovert can. The introvert is not an attention seeker, but extrovert is more, look at me, see me, hear me, the perfect one for social media. lmao
Somewhat similar in theme to this song, even if it's a different genre, I think you'd guys enjoy reacting to KMFDM's "Paradise" ruclips.net/video/t3_SfldSFa0/видео.html Introvert vs Extrovert is all about whether you emotionally recharge by yourself or in a crowd. You can be an introvert and still "get up" for a couple hours to be the life of the party ever once in a while. You can be an extrovert that likes hanging out in a crowd and still by shy or socially awkward.
React to Viikate - Kuollut kuin hengetön. It's in finnish but it's cover from Motorheads Killed by death. It's Funny and unique made year before Lemmys death
Alright, how about a song from Cyberpunk? Should trend nicely, and I think it's dope as hell, even though I'm not all that big on rap. It's called "Run the Block" by Konrad OldMoney feat. Taelor Yung. ruclips.net/video/aRemhB6ZABo/видео.html It's just music, though, no real video to speak of, and it's a short song too... but the creator did a behind-the-scenes on his own channel though, so maybe a reaction to that too? ruclips.net/video/f3Ucx7NdLag/видео.html
I'm going to say this Tatiana change to voice patterns at least 8 times in this song the drummer man on the basis anytime is so talented it's not even funny. Great job barenger, smoke dogg on breaking this song down...

Listening to this for the first time right along with you guys!
The little inverted cymbal is a “Zil-Bel”. It makes a high-pitched short-duration “ding” sound. Vlad often uses them as accents in silent breaks.

Peace.
Tatiana says she is introvert. I heard it listening to her interviews. That makes her a cool introvert )
White zombie - blood milk and sky
oh more Jinjer nice!!! just checked and saw you lack any reactions to Run the Jewels........hit up "JU$T" with Zach de la Rocha from RATM, banger.
The intro gives me kind of a manson beautiful people feel
RUSH THURSDAYS!!!
Tati does write her own lyrics but she admitted in interviews that she procrastinates and often improvises if she didn’t write lyrics yet.
If you like live videos give "who is going to be the one" a reaction it won't disappoint.
The members of jinjer were forced out of a war torn ukraine.this is the anger and longing for home that spawned....and yes, tati writes the lyrics
Yesss!!!
Please check out Jinjer: Judgement and Punishment one take by Tatti! You will see a different side of their influence and a good look at her vocal ability.
And as always
Do Queensryche - Take Hold of the Flame live in Tokyo 1984
A song more relevant than ever! 😔
Brilliant again. Try Opeth A Fair Judgement 😜
Have you guys heard the song what I always wanted by Kittie it is one of my favorites videos and songs by them.
My first female grawls was arch enemy with Angela
Lamb of God - Ashes of the Wake
The title of this song is one of those that needs the rest of the sentence to make sense. : )
That King 810 shirt tho..
I saw them live in Flint and they threw out about 50 shirts
Read the lyrics as you listen so you understand what she is saying and you can get what the song is about
.... seriously.... blow your minds on vinushka live by dir en grey
HATEBREED - NEVER LET IT DIE.
Hey guys, could you react to the band "Oddko" and either their song "Disobey" or "D4TM"? It's a very unknown, but very great band with a very unique style. Their vocalist also did most of the music videos by himself and helped creating movies like Pacific Rim. I think, you would like it^^
Have u react to "Constance" by Spirit Box?
If u haven't, i think u should......
BABYMETAL'S new album dropped earlier today- 10 BABYMETAL YEARS.
No way really
Trash Talkers- yeah it is an album celebrating the ten years BABYMETAL has been a band it it goes through songs that have been chosen by "the one." They are remastered and in January they will be back at the Budokan to perform this album!
I appreciate the great content. You all should check out the official music video Pizza by Attila. Super fun video

Dude, please react to Black Tongue Second Death. I'll join the patreon to make this happen lol
Same members as Pisces. New album early next year.
Check out monochromatic black -phosphenes. Another band almost like jinjer.
Enjoy.
Fer featured vocals on the Suicide Silence cover of Alice In Chains' song Man In The Box are fire too.
Tatiana 💜
Right???! Gotta love this woman. Hi James!
@@markmaloney3140 Mark, what's up my man? Merry Christmas bro.
@@Godspeed1756 You as well my brother. So Ive been called upon to toast next Toolsday. Talked to Triads, I would like your input as well. Since you have direct connection to our boys. You in?
@@markmaloney3140 sure bro. You know I don't normally show up for Tool... but happy to support my boy. What time do they do Tool Tuesday?
@@Godspeed1756 We all start up at 5. React at 6. Believe they gonna do the Trilogy this Toolsday. Nice wrap to a shitstain year?
Check out naughty Christmas by Lacuna Coil
You have only done Pisces, Teacher Teacher, Perennial, Cloud Factory, Noah and Home Back? Do I see that right?
This song is about the war in their home region in eastern Ukraine, which they fled when the war started in order to continue to make music. They eventually ended up residing in Kiev, but they have been basically on tour ever since, just make ends meet, right until covid came along. That was their longest break without touring, they had about a few hundred shows in the last couple years alone.

Spiritbox also had their new song Constance released.
Thanks. 😊
Stay safe 🤘🇺🇸🇩🇰🤘
She writes the majority of the lyrics.
We speak backwards from many other languages.
Tatiana Shmailyuk is an extreme introvert (her own words) and that Pisces got all that attention, she hated it and she hates all the hype there is about Jinjer.
Just for information an Introvert can do whatever and extrovert can.
The introvert is not an attention seeker, but extrovert is more, look at me, see me, hear me, the perfect one for social media. lmao
Hollywood says "I love this girl". Dude shes a grown ass woman...lol . That voice does not come out of a girl.....lol
Somewhat similar in theme to this song, even if it's a different genre, I think you'd guys enjoy reacting to KMFDM's "Paradise"

Introvert vs Extrovert is all about whether you emotionally recharge by yourself or in a crowd. You can be an introvert and still "get up" for a couple hours to be the life of the party ever once in a while. You can be an extrovert that likes hanging out in a crowd and still by shy or socially awkward.
💙❤
💛🌻
Marilyn Monroe was introvert so yes introverts can be the life of the party. Tati is an extravert by the way.
she is not. tati speaks about herself as very introvert.
@@godscoldhands77 she's wrong
They say she does. How about some Pantera The Underground in America or it makes them disappear
Do some Nine Inch Nails

Alright, how about a song from Cyberpunk? Should trend nicely, and I think it's dope as hell, even though I'm not all that big on rap.
It's called "Run the Block" by Konrad OldMoney feat. Taelor Yung. ruclips.net/video/aRemhB6ZABo/видео.html
It's just music, though, no real video to speak of, and it's a short song too... but the creator did a behind-the-scenes on his own channel though, so maybe a reaction to that too? ruclips.net/video/f3Ucx7NdLag/видео.html

April 4th 2022 - Sadly poignant today. 💙💛🌻
They, not she.
Spiritbox "Constance"
I'm going to say this Tatiana change to voice patterns at least 8 times in this song the drummer man on the basis anytime is so talented it's not even funny. Great job barenger, smoke dogg on breaking this song down...
I think the third time my thumbs up make 666. Yikes!
