Just purchased a HDS Gen 3 12 & 9. This is good info for someone like me that isn't very electronics savvy. Hope to see more setting and feature info in the future.
I just traded my Gen 2 for a Gen 3. Do you need a different transducer to get the 3D feature on structure scan? Also, my unit is not recognizing my mini SD card that I have in the card reader. Do you have any idea why it would do that? Also, I have an underwater AquaView camera . How does it hook up to the HDS unit? Thanks. Great video.
David - to use the 3D feature, you need to have the 3D transducer and module. It connects to the unit via the yellow ethernet connector. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be recognizing your SD card, is the software up to date? What are you using the card for, mapping? The Aqua Vu Mulit Vu connects to your unit via a Lowrance video adapter power cable... Your aqua vu camera has to have a RCA Video Output, I'm not sure which camera you have, but I use the Multi Vu, which has RCA video output.
I spoke to Lowrance and they said the largest mini sd card I can use is a 32 gb. I had a 64 gb in it. So I ordered a 32 gb card and will try it next week. I have the AV Micro 5 plus, a very small unit. It probably does not have those features that you mentioned. Thanks.
What else do i need besides the aqua vu camera? You mentioned a module, i look it up. It shows me cameras with monitors. Can you provide a link of the right one? Thanks!!
i have this unit from a used lund. I haven't messed with it much but can't seem to find why my sonar only shows black and white fish logos and not the arch with color. any suggestions? yes same model.
Doug Kaul, it would mark a track and you would be able to make usable waypoints, but there would be very limited land navigation features. There are better options for land navigation...
hey can u help me just got the gen 3 9 and 7 connected gonna buy a card from navionactis getting the east what i need to know is how to set my unit to take me from dock wherever i wanna go and it take me back not get lost lol now i plan on buting card to record on can u recomond one pleae thanks
larry clifton, any micro sd card will work to record, simple way is turn your trails on, then you can always follow your trail home. You can also record a route, see how to do that in your manual. For simple stuff like this, your unit should have enough internal storage that you don’t even need a sd card. I record on 16g micro sd cards for uploading and make genesis maps. I hope this helps!

Change the palette. It will be one of the options in the sonar menu.
@@rbud1080 thank you sir
Just wanting to know do you just have the sonar and the 3d structure scan transducers? Or do you have the structures can transducer also?
I have a 3in1 transducer. do not see that on transducer selections on unit
Did you ever figure it out?
Hey I'm new to Lowrance can I use this for land navigation? Specifically off road Baja Ca. Mexico?

Can't decide wiether to get a hds 9 or a helix 10
HDS 9! Lowrance user interface and sonar readings are SOOOOOOOOOO nice!
Why bother doing a tutorial if the
images are blurry
Go to crop your stuff in the 🌍
