I love how this is basically them coming back as their new identity without erasing their signature style- callbacks to previous songs, members singing about who they are or calling out their own names hidden in the lyrics, and keeping the same musical and dance style that has earned them so many fans, but still a distinct shift from their worldview and previous tracks. Amazing job, really!

This was my first comeback with Pixy and they did not disappoint! The styling, vocals, dancing, everything was on point. And Rinji making her debut with the group was just perfect! Pixy is severely underrated and that definitely needs to stop. They are way too talented to be overlooked. Overall, loved every single thing about this comeback and I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the album. STAN PIXY!!

That's nice then, cause you don't have to feel the massive downgrade this song is. I want to like this, I love PIXY and have been a huge fan of them since Addicted. Wings, Bewitched, Moonlight, Let Me Know, Addicted, amazing songs. Even Villain was pretty catchy.
But this? I can't even tell the sections in this song apart. It's so one note, and it sounds so weird and the budget has really flown out the window. The concept is so basic. Their voices sound so weird and I want to say I expect nothing but greatness from them but after Addicted flopped and they retconned their lore, I'm not surprised that this sucks.

PIXY's style is obviously different from Dreamcatcher's, but I get so much nostalgia for some reason. It's like the moment I first discovered Dreamcatcher and enjoyed how unique they were compared to the rest of the Kpop industry. PIXY has a distinct music identity and their level of confidence in dancing and facial expressions is admirable

As a greek winxy im even more proud that they used ancient Greek in their lyrics. μοῖρα actually means destiny/fate, but Μοῖραι were the creatures that were even superior to the 12 gods of Olympus. They had absolute power and determined people's lives. Tbh many greeks don't even know the ancient language so I am kinda surprised that I saw this word in the mv. Good job girls! Μuch love from Greece!

PIXY always have such catchy choruses omg 😭😭 "i'm a-ddic-ted" and "drop that fought that in the life i used to have..." is stuck in my head 24/7, now "let's flip a coin" will live in my head rent-free as well
I love it so much! It's incredible how they combined Hide&Seek and Flip a Coin and managed to flow the two sounds together. I'm a really big fan of the brass sounds from the Hide&Seek parts, but the Flip a Coin chorus is soooo satisfying and addicting. The styling is also absolutely immaculate. I'm loving the voodoo doll and creepy circus vibes. I can't wait to watch the live stages and see the full choreo. Basically it's the best comeback ever.♥

I just listened to the album in full (without seeing much of the promotion) and I think what they did with this song in the context of the album makes it even better. You see, this song is preceded by the tracks "Hide and Seek" and "Flip a coin", which have the elements from which this song is made. This gives the album two separate, yet similar songs and one that combines elements of the two, like how when you flip a coin, there is a remote chance that it will land on its side.
I think 'Karma' is a mix between 'Hide and Seek' and 'Flip a coin,' with 'Hide and Seek' being mostly the verses outside of the chorus and the bridge, and the chorus and bridge being 'Flip a coin.' I think it's a very cool concept, despite how I found it a bit confusing for me at first.
@@Ash-pm3eu essentially they did this because they couldnt pick between the two as a title track - considering their similar themes and rhythm the girls asked the producers to remix the two songs,,, and so karma was born. a bit confusing if you dont know the context behind it but honestly i love it since it means if they promote karma and a bside - theyre essentially promoting 4 songs!

If KARMA is a mix of Hide and Seek and Flip A Coin, then that makes Hide and Seek the heads result, with its comparatively more upbeat tone and soundscape, while Flip A Coin is the tails result, with the darker beat. This leaves KARMA as the distinct yet rare result of the coin landing on its side, which especially works as that result is extraordinary, making the song that represents it a perfect candidate for title track.

a week after the release of CHOSEN KARMA and after several listenings of the album I can say that the title track KARMA is an exquisitely hybrid of two besides. It's really well done in its own experimental nature. I'll admit it, when it released a week ago i was confused about the two songs fusion but now, wow, hands down to the producers and directors behind this.
Please, support PIXY, their sound is really unique right now for the current k-pop scene.

Honestly, I don't understand why they've gone unnoticed... Their songs are amazing; sound nothing like what anyone else has done; have a mystical feel, yet have very distinct feels from one another; keep on getting better with time; can easily be put on repeat without ever getting boring; even when their songs "get old", they are still just as good as when you first listen to them.

Bottom line - their work is sadly underappreciated and it kind of reminds me of CLC. Loads of talent, great repertoire, but a lack of "breathtaking visuals" (according to Netizens and/or Korean beauty standards) are hindering their ability to get themselves out there and I truly despise that! Talent such as this shouldn't simply be ignored!!!
@@logikman329 honestly it's not really rocket science to figure out why. It's among those reasons you listed, and not being from a big company. The big company thing is the biggest factor by far it just is what it is. That's how the industry works.
It's also not necessarily helping them that they've gone to 3 anime conventions which didn't help their exposure at all. I travel to Korea for this group for their comebacks and I've been doing it since Addicted, and the promotions domestically just keep getting shorter and shorter.
Addicted was almost two months long. Then Villain was about a month. This comeback was.. like a week and a half lol. It was 8 stages because simplykpop records two stages since it only records every two weeks. 9 stages but it was 8 broadcasts if that makes sense.
There was a LOT of domestic fans after they saw the type of fan sevice and effort the company was putting domestically. During addicted the last fansign was 3 hours long, we got a Q&A, they performed Addicted AND Wings and each person in attendance also got a polaroid and the girls baked us cookies and every fansign and video call they wrote us messages in our albums. All the domestic fans were really praising this effort and were going hardcore going into Villain. I'm not sure what decision happened domestically, but there was a significant drop off in efforts for fans in Korea. It was quite noticeable and disappointing.
During Addicted we understood that with covid restrictions being lifted at the end of the promotions we were thankful to get 2 fansigns. Villain we still only got 2 but they did like 7 or 8 video calls so domestically fans were a bit annoyed by this. Broadcast attendance rewards also happened, but the rewards fans got were just left over merch you could obviously tell was going to just be thrown away but they decided to just give it to fans anyways (they were polaroids that were like really bad lighting and stuff for example could barely even see the member in the pola) and that also kinda pissed off fans domestically. Imagine you go to every single broadcast stage you win every application, lose so much sleep and then your reward is leftovers. It made fans domestically feel like the company didn't care about them. For the sake of not making this message longer than it already is i'll just say there's a LOT more but i'll spare the details for specifics on other stuff that happened.
We've also been complaining about schedules not getting posted, a lack of communication (even overseas fans have complained about this) and there was just weird decisions like they don't write in albums anymore. I think the company told them not to do that anymore but fans loved it because the girls would write sweet messages to fans. We also had times where there was fan support done, and then the company agreed to it, but then literally last second the company would tell us basically "never mind" after the fans already put in the work. Fans got mad and the company went back on that decision but you can see what I mean it's just like off of principle the fans didn't feel valued.
This promotion I legit saw every. single. one. of those fans from Villain era all quit. It was pretty sad. The first fansign for this promotion only 14 out of 30 people of the winners list even showed up because it was all foreigner fans buying albums because they wanted special event photocards. These fans gave Rinji at her very first fansign ever half a venue filled, but to make it worse even though only half the people were there the fansign was only 45 minutes long. Fansigns are usually at the minimum an hour and a half. The promoter didn't give fans extra time with members to make up or anything. There was no song performance or anything and they just left.
I will however praise the company though because they did do a cafe event alongside the 2 fansigns they did this promotion, and the mini fanmeeting that we did get they did put in more effort and made the fans feel more valued. While I do respect the people at the company and know they take care of the girls, they're not necessarily helping the growth of the group domestically with putting so little effort domestically.
I mean think about it there was a 9 month gap between Villain and Karma. You can't have gaps like this in this day and age in this industry. People have the attention span of a rock they'll just be onto whowever is coming back again in the next few weeks. They have to build a dedicated fanbase and they're building more casual fans instead. I'm not going to be surprised if next promotion there's even less fans domestically because a group can't leave the limelight for 9 months and then come back and only promote for barely more than a week and expect growth. Villain reached 1 million views in 5 days. We're over a month now as of writing this comment and this mv is barely past 800k. We also gained 100k subs in the last month, but the views aren't growing. So that's a little suspicious because that math doesn't add up. Melon daily listeners this comeback had half the amount of listeners that Villain did. So.. yeah that's a thing. I hate how pessimistic this all sounds but I'm just speaking how it is because I want what's best for the girls obviously and I think it's important for fans to know what actually is going on instead of being confused about their growth.
Anyways yeah jesus this comment got LONGGG if you actually read it I appreciate it. Short version of above is company treats the girls well, the girls are all super sweethearts, but every single promotion there's been less and less efforts domestically and efforts put in strange areas that haven't actually benefited the girl's growth.

Now, it's really freaking sad that they've gone through so much trouble to get them out there in the first place, see that it's working and decide to give up afterwards... Quite disheartening... I really can't imagine being in the girls' position, it genuinely must suck... Being stuck between a rock and a hard place, it must be unbearable to see your fans part ways simply due to your company not putting in efforts anymore...
@@logikman329 Yeah like I distinctly remember this promotion they left Mcountdown in the brown outfits and I was like "huh that's weird but they have no schedule" then came to find out that the company didn't post the schedule.
Here's the kicker about that though. You would think like "oh it's a private schedule they were going to" but it wasn't lol. It was SBS Radio and it was Dia and Sua on there I believe. SBS Radio had that Pixy was going to be on there as guests for that Thursday, but the company never posted the schedule on fan cafe and EVERYBODY in Korea all uses fan cafe.
Lke it's stuff like this that is annoying for fans domestically. Korean fans are hardcore as hell they are so loyal and caring and they want to support the girls. SBS Radio is an event like you can't see them inside or anything or interact, but you can at least see them walk in and leaving and cheer on the girls and tell them good luck. You know boost their spirtis and stuff and this isn't the first time their company just forgot to update a schedule and fans missed out on something. Don't get me wrong like I said previously the people at their company are SUPER nice people. The COO even has talked with fans at events. They're very welcoming and cool people to meet I love them to death as people and i know they treat the girls well, but there is just a level of.. I hate to say it but incompetence and as a fan it looks like they're out of touch and just not organized and unfortunately this actually is hurting the girls.
I don't even really like their music much these days outside of a few songs, but for me I care about the girls a ton. They always treat me so well and are so caring and they know I'm super respectful with them. Always ask how they're doing physically/mentally if they're stressed or anything you know just try to really take care of them as best as possible cause I know they definitely do see fans leaving. The girls definitely watch the fandom I know this for a fact and I know they read tweets and to see every single girl's fansite quit for example from last promotion that was doing support must have stressed them out a lot. So yeah I feel bad for them.
I know they're going to be fine for sure I dont' have doubts about that. I just think their company really needs to get their shit together and get organized because yeah I know even more fans domestically who have been supporting since predebut who were frustrated this promotion and were saying they wanted to quit because the company was pissing them off but they couldn't because they loved the girls too much and they knew the girls would be hurt if they quit. I do believe in their company to improve I just think they need to do it a lot quicker than they currently are doing. I've seen them make progress and I've praised them a lot when they do, but there's just a lot more cons than pros right now sadly.
@@kpopfanphotos The worst about it is that being organized isn't that hard, all it takes is a somewhat solid structure and you're good! If you're telling me that the people in the company aren't the problem, then it's got to be that there's a lack a communication between people... It seems like such a simple task too... It's a schedule, you can literally make it on freaking EXCEL! I'm not even good at using that app and I could do it with ease! And that's just one way the could use to make it, there's countless ways to do so! They don't have to send the longest message ever for every schedule they release, right? At least, I hope so and if that's the case, that could be a part of the problem but even then, it's a company, someone's bound to be good at writing!
