Written and sung by Black Irish Band member Patrick Michael Karnahan. A happy song of great joy growing up as a kid in sunny California. Patrick was born in Hawthorne California, two blocks over from the Beach Boys in the year 1959
Unlike most pop surf type songs, "This Summer" featuring the regular Celtic insruments that the band has been performing on since their start in 1989. Patrick performs on the guitar as well as melodeon. James Dean Nelson is featured on the banjo.
