What a JOY to see downtown at Christmas 🎄 again!!! 😃😃😃 THANK YOU SO MUCH for bringing back so many wonderful memories. I was 18 when I celebrated 🥳 my first Christmas 🎄 in Alaska back in 1972. The town has changed tremendously since then. The WESTMARK HOTEL used to be the ROYAL INN and had a restaurant called THE JOLLY KING. Nikki and I ate there quite a few times in those "good old days". I especially remember eating THANKSGIVING dinner there with Nikki and her friend Patty. There used to be a YMCA just a few blocks from the ROYAL INN where the bus from Fort Rich used to drop us off and pick us up. I would usually meet Nikki on the walkway between JC PENNY and the parking garage. On the corner of the garage building was a ORANGE JULIUS and Nikki and I met there sometimes, too. Across the street was NORDSTOMS DEPARTMENT STORE. It's something else now. I'm going to "share" this video with my Daughter. She was only 5 years old when we left Anchorage in 1988 so she doesn't have many memories of her time there. She has 6 children of her own now. I will say goodnight for now. It's only 2 o'clock in the afternoon in Anchorage so I hope your day is going well. Take care and enjoy this Holiday Season.

Another person you're giving fond memories of Anchorage with your drives. Spent a lot of time at the downtown Mall and crossing the skybridge into Nordstrom, which is sadly gone now I believe. Turned left off 5th near Simon an Seifert resturant, a favorite then past the building that used yo be Anchorage Community Hospital where my daughter was born in 1972 on Christmas Eve❤. Just watched the video before this one with a great shot of Loussac Library. Spent a lot of time there. Remember when it was built when all that oil revenue hit town. Be safe. Sure enjoying your drives.

Wow Panda Express in Anchorage gives you lots of food. Here in New Mexico where I live they hardly give me any food. I’ve stopped going. I love your drives around Anchorage
