I see it more as a beautiful extension of the original giving more of a background/behind the scenes vibe. I prefer the original but the violin intro of this version always kills me, when I hear it.

I only came across this mix a few weeks ago during lockdown, it is suberb, sometimes I just listen to the remixed intro,but I find it has a profound message\warning. I remember hearing them heavy people in 1978 on a long car journey,and have always recalled that memory ever since.Thank you Kate.

Long ago, I owned the 12' vinyl. I'm grateful a high quality version is still out there. This is indeed the same track that was on the 12", which I think I'm recalling as 45rpm.

The Lark Ascending version with Iona brown on violin is one of my 'Desert Island' music choices - the strings here are so good!
