Out of all the videos relating to this on RUclips your the only one that clearly stated its genuienely as simple as unplugging the wires, i was worried the killswiitch may be effected.
This is an issue with my harbor freight towable backhoe. If I lift the front up too far, it shuts down. Very annoying as I only lift it for seconds at a time. I figured that was the switch. Probably a mercury switch that closes the contact as the angle increases. I'm off to disconnect mine. I'm diligent in checking my oil and If I notice any leaks, I deal with them ASAP. Thanks!
I'd leave it alone and see if your style of riding shuts it off. I do street and mold trails including wheelies. Haven't activated the low oil switch yet.
It would be nice if there was an oil sensor that had a couple second timer built into it so that after say 2 - 3 seconds the oil switch would stop the engine - is there one of these sensors available? is this practical?
I would say that none of this is necessary. It's a $150 engine. Even if a person was dumb enough to never check the oil and destroyed the engine, it wouldn't be the end of the world. Disconnect it and don't worry about it. Lawn mowers don't have this sensor and they don't seem to suddenly self destruct.
So This same concept will work on my jon boat? I’m assuming it will, just disconnect the oil cable and that’s it? I don’t want my motor turning off while I’m in the water
There is a black plastic screw on top of the carburetor you can turn out to lower the throttle. Its directly on top of the carb when you take the air filter off.
This may be the right place to ask this question. When i check the oil level, oil comes rushing out like if I opened the oil drain on the bottom. This happens on both oil check sides. Is this normal. I have this engine on an air compressor it's leveled and I don't use it much. I checked oil level when the engine is cold . Well I didn't check because I had to close it to prevent oil spilling out
If you open the oil after driving or running the engine the hot oil will spill out due to the heat expanding inside, don’t worry bubba I did this during a ride because mine was screeching and it spilled all over me

Whenever I start my engine it runs for a couple of second and dies with a loud screeching/grinding sound do you have a fix for it?
Have you tried plugging the sensor back in? Lol jk when’s the last time you changed/checked the oil the last change did it have any metal in it?
@@moesauto it was the clutch
Exactly what I needed Glookin

Thanks my splitter is used on uneven ground at times. Finally figure my sputtering and starting difficulty is that sensor
Thanks for the great video, is there a way to turn down the idle on that motor, I can't find a thing and it is too high.

So if i remove the oil sensor if that a increase of performance?

Your also suppose to only open the one from the back of the motor not the front every time I open the front it does the same thing
Now i understand the purpose of yellow wire but what is the purpose of black wire?
Ty bro 🫡
Does that disable the kill switch too?
No
Would it be a safety hazard?
no as long as you look at your oil regularly and make sure it doesn't turn to goop
Thanks 🙏 😊
Mine brand new and won't start
Why?
