The Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), one of the largest and most comprehensive research centers dedicated to finding a biological cure for diabetes now, along with the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation Canada (DRIFCAN) and Alberta Diabetes Institute (ADI) at the University of Alberta, Canada’s largest stand-alone research facility dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes, recently announced the launch of a research partnership to advance efforts to find a cure for diabetes.

I missed the original meeting but was so appreciative to see it now. My daughter was diagnosed with T1D 30+ years ago. To see her free of the need for insulin injections in the next 5+ years would make our hearts sing. Most people don't realize that injected or pumped insulin does not mimic a healthy body, it just keeps them alive. Thank you for your dedication and expertise doctors, and thank you for allowing us to follow this research along as parents and patients with T1D and T2D.
