USA Here! Loved my 1964 Norton Atlas ! Those curvy fenders, custom paint by Bill Rail and dropped bars! That was a few years in the early 70s ! At 74 years old I ride a canondale bicycle!
The film was shot on the A20 between Wrotham and Brands Hatch. This part of the A20 was for many years used by bikers for road racing as a result the hill on the other side of Brands Hatch heading towards London was called Death Hill and was only renamed by the local council around 20 years ago.

Always still amazes me what my dad and sisters were riding in England and what my Mum was riding here in Australia before they got married compared to the monsters like the Kawasaki Z1 and Z1300 I was riding in the late 70s and early 80s.
Great to see these guys getting the breeze on their knees. In the States, many of us wanted either a Triumph, Norton, or BSA. No Vincent’s or really any other classic Brit bikes in the middle of the country, before the Japanese invasion. Still love them as much as Harley’s and other American brands, if not more. Someday the TT trip will happen.
Those of us that came up in or near that era marvel at the fact that what was done could be done with the tires as hard and narrow as they were and of such poor compound and grip, or with what we knew as "brakes" which were substandard when when you upgraded them. The only period British sport bike that had a decent front brake was the late-period BSA Gold Star. Properly set up, it was moderately good. The rest, until the late 60s, were abominable.
My dad was a ton up boy he had a couple of bikes over the years a Ariel square 4 .a bsa and a triumph Tiger when my eldest sister was born he put a sidecar on the tiger I was born 1959

I’m amazed nobody’s got a channel who can mimic the voice of the pathe news reporters and gone around the cities. And I thought of it first. But I can’t imitate a classic 50s private school voice. 🇬🇧🎤
Those three lane roads! Centre lane was for overtaking in either direction, ffs!! There was still one from Livingston to Bathgate when I was a young biker in the 70's. They used to say one lane for going, one for coming back, and one for getting killed in.
Сначала подумал что прут по "встречке",😁 но потом "дошло" это Великобритания...😄😄😄 At first I thought that they were driving in the opposite lane, but then I realized that this is most likely the United Kingdom...😄😄😄
You'd have to be really dumb to ride a bike anywhere without eye protection. Do you really want dust and larger particles to hit your eyeballs at 50/60/70 miles per hour?
Oh yes it has! Car ownership has increased by 20 times. I can't breathe and sleep thanks to cars and the noise they make!! I was born in the wrong era!
@@iseegoodandbad6758 Agree mate, plus none of these cars are actually payed for haha, I was brought up to work hard save up then buy your car or bike,..

Pretty treacherous if you're not used to them.

I was not even born then but Rock'n'roll, brittish bikes and booze were my live up till now.
This film cannot be any older than 1959, because a Mini is shown going by near the beginning.
Great Video, On every weekend we ride on our Enfield Interceptor 650. And it's really fun.
just rode 3,461 km travelling and camping out on my 1967 Triumph Daytona...relatable.

Very nice bit of film, better with sound though
@Jack Warner indeed. Just that many many Pathé films are narrated and it's slightly odd to find one that isn't
