I created my own after watching Adrian. Good for C64 but have used it to check chips from a C128 too. CIA, PLA, SID, VIC and Ram. Works a treat

That's what I'm hoping. We'll find out when I start my repairathon.

I recorded Part 0 yesterday (assessing each). Haven't edited it yet.

👍when making C64 vids, one must use Chip SID music.

I had already copied Adrian enough. I didn't want to play the Donkey Kong Arcade theme, too. :) I'll get some SID music to play in future videos.

Thanks. I've got a C64 Repairathon coming up (4 to 6 machines, depending on how long my stash of spares hold up) and I expect this to come in very handy.

If it does not pass the Zaxxon challenge, it is not a good PLA replacement. W27C512 will not work. GAL PLA's with the correct revision number work fine for me.

Yes. The next two videos I published were on the topic of the EPROM PLA. I hadn't realized that they'd been a topic for an extended period of time. In the first of the two videos, I promoted the EPROM PLA. I didn't have a Zaxxon cartridge at the time, so I couldn't test it that way. I've got one now. In the second video, I corrected myself after someone else told me about the problems with them. I concluded that they were OK to use in a pinch for testing purposes to help determine if a PLA is bad, but that they don't work as a long-term solution and that you should use a different solution. Thanks for watching!

@@YARC-1981 I guess I should have finished watching your videos before commenting :) I am new to your channel and decided to watch from oldest to newest. Great work, keep it up !
