In the first part of my trip (June-November, 2025 - returning to Australia until the end of March to avoid the Canadian winter), I'll need to bring along six months of my medication. I'll have to figure out a medication supply solution beyond that. Absolutely stunning scenery!
So nice to see this particular episode, after all the others up to Australia. It sounds like holidays. You ´ve gone a long long road now, and your enthusiasm is all the same. You both are great, and I must admit I had respect for you already, and Now I add a Huge Respect for Louisa, riding with her medics load all the way ! Your Tough, Lady ! (of course Tobi is too 😉)
Slovenia and Croatia look beautiful for cycle touring. Would love to ride there some time even stay a little while in a small picturesque town/village on one of the islands. Sub'd.
Hi guys, Watching your incredible around the world cycling trip 👍 Wow,, The videos so far are really good 🤗 I’m loving it. And if I may say with respect Louisa your a cool chick 👌👌. To the both of you thanks for sharing 👍
I have been following your progress from Slovenia to South America, you guys are amazing, and there is no doubt that you will circumnavigate the globe. I wish you the best of luck complete success. If I may ask a question, what type of drone are you using, the footage is amazing, and can you tell me why you chose that drone. I am travelling to Corsica, Sardinia, and Sicily in September and could use some good advice. Bon voyage, Gordon
Thank you! 😊 We have a DJI Mavic Mini (the first version) and use the Litchi fly app with it so we can "flatten" the image more (so we can then color grade it better later). We wanted a drone under 250g in weight so we don't need a permit for it in many countries. And at the time our drone was the best in that category. Currently the DJI Mini Pro is probably the best under 250g. 😊
We did not know of your medical conditions, which make even more remarkable what you guys have achieved so far (at the time of this comment you guys have already crossed the Chilean border...). Bravissimi!

It looks like everything I see about Croatia across all types of channels leeds to the conclusion that the coast and villages are just the best to be seen. Dubrovnik might be way too busy or has way too many tourists, but unfortunately you see that with so many cities, Carcassonne and Rocamadour in France are both very characteristic and pittoresque, but also giant tourist traps at the same time. A pity, but so true
How's the back tyre going? It's been hot here in the UK. I have a friend in Croatia - he's been there for 30 years now, almost a local. There is a brand new bridge in the village there now. I'm a cyclist and i live in the Pennines - most hills here are pretty steep and roads in bad shape and not all road users are good toward cyclists! I use paths a lot and cross country. I've subbed your channel.
Thanks for subscribing! :) the back tyre is much better. The new rim tape solved the problem for good. We also saw loads of new bridges and roads being built in Croatia, we think it’s part of the project to divert the main road around the coastal part of Bosnia.
No worries :) you can check out the complete route on our website: www.chainsandchords.com/the-journey We are using the DJI Mavic Mini (with the Litchi Fly App for more camera and drone controls)
@@louisaandtobi I am living in Chattanooga, TN currently. Let me know when you're close and I'll try my best to ride out and meet you. I'll even buy you guys a beer!
In Croatia it was generally not too difficult to find a wild camping spot. Only sometimes directly on the coast it's more difficult as it's pretty busy and touristy there.
No, we haven’t given anyone a gift yet - that would also be hard to transport on a bike. But if we go out with our hosts, we usually invite them to some drinks :)
@@louisaandtobi Yes! It would be difficult to carry thank you gifts on a long bike tour, but I often wonder how people express their appreciation to hosts.
Thanks for useful tips regarding bike touring, I am preparing for biketrip next summer ☀️🚴🏼♂️🏕️

Hello i have a question, is it hard to find spot for wild camping and is any problems with doing wild camping in Croatia??
In Croatia it was generally not too difficult to find a wild camping spot. Only sometimes directly on the coast it's more difficult as it's pretty busy and touristy there.
So which one is better for cycling - Croatia or Spain?
Cool vblog. Do you have a gpx file of the route by any chance, please
Hey, if you check out our website (chainsandchords.com) you can find our route there! 😊

Nice. Next time you must start in Slovenian Alps go over Vrsic pass , Soča valley to Adriatic. SLO and CRO are the best combination.
Like they are doing this every week. :')
When you stay at a Warmshowers host's place, do you ever leave a thank you gift? If so, what do you leave? I always wonder about this.

Circumnavigating the planet on bicycles an't cheap, how do you guys pay for it?
We both worked for several years before our journey and saved up as much as we could. Now we earn a little bit with RUclips. 😊
