Yessssss I love the sounds of a car in the cabin. My biggest dream is to be able to lay down on the floor of a car, all spread out, and just fall asleep to the sound of the wheels on the asphalt and feeling jostling of the car. It sounds weird when I describe it but I'm not ashamed of it.
Shy Shy I used to do that as a kid (yes dangerous but had to take advantage as I didnt know about RUclips, actually I don't think asmr YT was a thing in early 2003 😜) but we had a mini van & I would lay on the seat furthest back and just close my eyes. I was about 10 so I fit perfectly there lol
Kenya D I would do that too on long road trips (we had a mini van and I was on the bench seat in the far back). But it was always the floor that I really wanted to sleep on because I feel like pressing my ear against it while the tires roll would be so amazing to sleep to

Living in the UK you'd struggle to find anywhere you can drive without seeing another car at least every couple of minutes or so, so it really is surreal to see like 10 minutes of driving on a totally empty road.

Hey, it's me again. You're a very busy lady, and with almost a million (congrats!) subs, you probably don't have time to read all your comments so you might not have seen my last one. I'm 21 years old and have a crippling fear of cars. I've only ever driven once, and it went really badly. I never wanted to try again. I was content using public transit forever.
I saw this video last week, and you saying how relaxing you found driving made me think. It made me want to give driving another shot, because if someone can find it enjoyable, maybe it isn't the worst thing in the world like I think it is.
I got my permit and I went practice driving today. I didn't have an anxiety attack. I didn't make myself sick. I didn't over or undershoot my turns, I didn't go off the road, I didn't slam on the breaks, and I didn't hit anything (or anyone). As far as things go, I think I did pretty well. I'm going driving again tomorrow.
Thank you. I really can't thank you enough for this video, and just for you existing in general. You honestly have helped free me of such a colossal weight on my conscience. I can be normal.

when my dad worked as a security guard we always had to get up at like 4-5am and drive him there and i used to love riding in the back in the dark for an hour then falling asleep and being able to get mcdonalds for breakfast. from now on i love being a passenger in the car its like quiet and relaxing and always when i drive at night i love it because it reminds me of those nights and how calmed and relaxed i was. thankyou for this maria. 💕

Other than my own nostalgia about car rides, I've realised why this video in particular feels so personal, so intimate; it's because it's more 'real'. A lot of your videos exist in this 'asmr-sphere' - which I love too! But they have a different feeling - not quite 'staged', but more like the viewer is in an 'asmr setting' and expects the relaxation. Whereas with this, while you're still plying your considerable skill as an asmrtist in the video's concept, construction and editing, it's more like you're filming (and 'presenting') an environment that triggers asmr, instead of MAKING that environment.I hope this makes sense! I love your work.

Your first car video was great. This one is AMAZING! So relaxing and your voice is very comforting. If you get a new car, please get something with a similar engine sound as your Mercedes. The little 4 cylinder cars have terrible whines. The sound of the engine, the road, and your voice mixed together is just perfection.
