    Thanks for the review. I just ordered a rampless Mini Gunny in maple with mosaic pins. This will be my firs Bark River. I am pretty excited.

    I really like that jade and regular green combo. I think it looks much better than the toxic green that is typically seen. Pre ordered a full size Gunny in S45vn with that color combo over at KSF.

      Give me some time, and we'll see how S45VN compares to some of my other stainless-steels. Oh, and I think that was the Gunny Sidekick, but I'm not sure ...

      @@PinkG10 in the last video when you said S45vn I thought nah he meant to say 35vn but then when you mentioned it again in this video I was like what a minute he does mean 45vn wonder if its a gimmick or better than S25vn all my 35vn stuff is in high end folders frel free to show ZT Spyderco and the like if you ever wanna Branch out I can help you out i been in the high end folders for years and I loge fixed blades but my most expensive was the brovo 3 I bought at your suggestion and I love that thing by the way been watching your videos for a long time way back when they were in black and white 😆

    How is the handle thickness on the mini? Is it much thinner than the standard gunny. Barkies tend to be thin in the handle.

    Good job with your review! It’s impressive that you bought two despite not being a fan. I’m a big fan of the gunny variants because they are generally a smaller bravo that is lighter and thinner yet still robust enough for most practical applications. Enjoy your day and be safe out there!

    Bark River Bravo edc vs Bark River mini gunny ..... I like it with the ramp because it doesn't look like a fancy steak knife 😌❤️💢💢💢

    My first Gunny had a ramp, not for long. My belt grinder helped, the Gunny (with ramp) didn’t impress me till it had no ramp.
    Get rid of ramp brother.

    • @PinkG10
      @PinkG10  4 года назад

      I might just do that tbh. I pretty much always go rampless with all my knives, but on some models the ramp works slightly better than on others, but on the Mini-Gunny, I'll most likely have it removed.

      @@PinkG10 I’m in Australia so if I want alterations? I do them myself. I could’ve sent back to have BRK grind it but the postage would break the bank.
      If you dip in water after a short grind? Easy (you probably know this, I’m just making sure with your heat treat).👊🇦🇺🍺

    • @PinkG10

      Thank you for the input! I've done some different mods myself, and I also got some friends with belt grinders etc. that know what they're doing and are always willing to help me out, so removing a ramp is an easy fix. I live in Europe, so I never send anything back to BRK to have it fixed or modified in any way. Over the years, I've learned to do a lot of stuff myself. And with great results, too!

    The ramp kills the gunny and the bravo 1 IMO. The ramp is not functional where it is placed, hurts your thumb which is so detrimental to knife use, and keeps you from utilizing all the different hand placements that are possible with those knives without a ramp. I think your opinion might change if you had that ramp removed from the gunny. Of course, even if not, I believe both models are so much more versatile without the ramps! Thanks for your videos!!!

    Well don’t like your color choice. I find that on a small knife the ramp is in the way. On my large Bravo 1.25 it’s useful & I love it. I would send it back to Mike Stewart and have them remove the ramp.
