It's funny you mentioned about scripts telling you how to feel about a scene lately, I've noticed a lot in TV of the last 3 to 5 years of actual dialog where people explain what we just watched as if they wanted the audience to get the point, it's very annoying

I find that 80% of R movies didn't need to be R, growing up my parents bought a lot of pg-13 version of R movies and mostly it was a few cut cusswords, maybe a cut at some nudity and rarely a cut on something truly gruesome. If it doesn't improve the movie there is no need to be edgie for edgie for edgie sake
