@ around 7:45, yes, those are considered as normal generation. They've made the Y level even go negative now. and there are like aquifers in giant cave systems sometimes.
I would have to recommend making a terramity guidebook as it has an in depth explanation for quite a few thing from the terramity mod, which can be quite helpful during a playthrough
