    Danny when you put in the pp do you try to keep the water purple for 4 hrs or leave it when it goes brown which happens in mine after about 10 to 20 minutes

    • @dannycurrie1
      @dannycurrie1  2 года назад

      I had it purple for a little over 3 hours. By that time the fish were looking a bit stressed out and I decided that was enough. I had to add another half dose after about an hour and a half.
      Make sure you observe your fish while treating and make sure you haven't used any liquid dechlorinator for a good few days before you treat as that neutralises the pp quickly, possibly your issue

    • @Tucker402
      @Tucker402 2 года назад

      Cheers for that Danny I thought it was going off a bit too quick I'm a bit paranoid with treatments I had z deaster at the start of last season decided to treat the pond with medicine p b4 the new fish arrived I trippled the dosage I still don't know how ended up killing 9 of my baby's direct from Japan very costly mistake lost some beauty's just over 40cm still gutted

    • @dannycurrie1
      @dannycurrie1  2 года назад +1

      @@Tucker402 doing a triple dose of any medication is extremely dangerous. That is almost definitely why they died. Pp in particular strips the oxygen out of the water. That much pp would have suffocated the fish very quickly. You should always have hydrogen peroxide on hand to neutralise it if your fish start to struggle. Sorry for your loss of fish. But please don't dose that heavy again
