- Yao Haon is a delicious food to enjoy with friends and family. I made it for my son, David who is visiting us for the holidays from the Army. David had told me in his letter that he missed home cooking meals so much and when I told him that I was going to make Yao Haon when he visited, his mouth turned watery after reading my letter.
Just tried your recipe for Christmas! It was amazing. My family has never tried Yao Han before. And now they're requesting it again! Growing up I haven't had a lot of chances to learn Cambodian recipes but I am glad you are sharing your Cambodian cooking recipes. Definitely bringing me closer to our Cambodian culture. Thanks!
+San.K.Thach Thank you. I shared your comment on my Facebook.
Tell your son thank you for his service; my husband is also in the army! I'm easing him into Khmer food one dish at a time lol, so I'll be looking at your videos for guidance! I can't wait to make it this week!
Growing up and watching my mom making yahon was interesting . However, recently, I am learning that some people would like to mix coconut cream &coconut soda-- interesting! I don't remember my mom using coconut soda but it's been recommended. But, I guess some people uses different ingredients and somehow the result turn out similiar, or yet, the same.☺ One day, I hope to share with you the common Cambodian foods that my family and I grew up eating at home😉 Thank you Elissa for the tips!
You're welcome.

Bong do you have list of ingredients and measurements?
Do you have a recipe for the curry paste you have in this video?
I love to eat hot pot that's only I like and yes I'm cambodian full cambodian
The one you do not have a name we call Taing Or. Hope it's help.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Can you make a thick side sauce for the yao hon? I like my soup to be beefy without the sauce inside. I like your ingredients and think a side sauce like peanut sauce they use for spring rolls would be great.
thank you!
I would like it if she speak some Cambodian and some English because there are tons of us women who don't speak or understand English really well...
***** Hi Naren789, thank you for your feedback. I'll try my best. Sometimes it is very hard for me to speak Khmer too.

About 10 people I think 🤔

Beats MRE's any day. lol
Seyla_11B I agree.
I have no idea what I did wrong but it ended up being way too salty for me 😢😢😢
luckypeachgurl really? Sorry to hear that. Add a little water, sugar, coconut milk, and lemon to reduce the saltiness.
My mom said that not how you make it right. Lol she said that's how the country side people do it lol
People will always cook the same types of food but with a style of their own. Make it how your mother does then.
Measurements?
Can you give us exact measurements?
Hi Ladyy Sa, the recipe is at the end of the video after the running words..
This looks so delicious but I do not see the measurements for the recipe.
+Debra Callahan This was one of my old video. Normally the recipe will be at the end of the video.
Are you cooking the yao haon on a hot plate?
Nina Meas It's an electric skillet.
Ok
