  • In this video I head out of Paremata and out onto the West Coast of Wellington towards Mana Island for the first time with Dad.
The fishing started off slow on the first day catching nothing but small Blue Cod and Sea Perch. Just as the tide turned we managed to catch lots of Big Blue Cod.
On the second day we headed out of Paremata and down the coast towards makara and caught pretty much nothing apart from a Barracouta, a Mackerel and a Kahawai. After we got bored of this spot we headed back towards Mana island but the fishing was slow until Dad managed to pull up this Big 55cm Snapper, thinking it was another Couta (Dads 6th of the day) I didn't record the fight.
    I hope you enjoy.

Great to see real young men fishing as they are supposed to. Fishing from the heart you are young man.

Fresh Mackerel, one of the absolute best snapper baits, and you threw it back?
