The info hack is so much more useful than the evade one, you can play as jungler every game and invade the other guy knowing his camp's HP, his smite and flash CD and also QWER CD. Perfect information is way more frustrating than dodging something or cleansing Ashe R on the spot, something like that.

There is no info hack, at least not in the literal sense. The JG camp timers, for example, are integrated into the Chinese client. The enemy JG's timers are only known if you can see them being taken; the same goes for summoner spell/ability cooldowns. Anything that isn't "visible data" is pure guesswork/approximation since that data isn't shared with the client.
Funnily enough, every info that the script gives is legal, according to Riot. This is why some apps are starting to incorporate summoner spell cooldowns. Crazy that you can have such an edge playing "legally".

as other comments noted - Xerath ult, Jhin ult, Galio ult, etc. all manipulate the camera perspective, so it would be very easy to reverse engineer that after loading up practice mode. also it's basically impossible to prevent such a cheat because client side you have all info available, and even if the game had completely fixed camera perspective you would be able to change it since you can change anything in memory. (client side info has to exist otherwise your visuals would lag by full ping time every time you moved camera)

I find the whole "cheating" at video game to be super interesting from a purely tech and AI standpoint. There's this literal physical aimbot someone developed for R6 that lets you aim perfectly by having AI analyze footage captured from a camera where it would then process it into a physical mechanism that controls the mouth. This script definitely needs some work and maybe with some addition, you can literally make an AI that'll play league perfectly.

the obvious problem i find are: the client is receiving recall positions, and jungle camps being taken down. Riot needs to update the game to not let clients have this information. It should only be shared in vision. The other problem is the map zoom out. Since this isn't fixable, (also widescreen is already unfair) players should just be allowed to zoom out more, I'd suggest even letting players have a button to "hold" to toggle to zoom out twice as much.

    • @capisenior
      @capisenior 2 года назад +12

Well, it might look like unnecessary data, but then we get into the realm of online games and latency.
The recall, for example: there is a channeling time, and a specific visual cue to show its progress. Now let's say your ping is 100ms and your client only receives that information once you got vision on the enemy. Then: 100ms client>server to request vision, 100ms + processing time server>client to deliver vision, and the server would also need to tell the client how much of the channeling has already happened so the client can offset the animation to start from the correct frame. That could result in around 1/4 second delay to show the recall animation, so during that time you wouldn't even know the enemy is recalling, possibly losing the chance to stun him and cancel it.
The same applies to jungle creeps, but more in regards to esthetics than gameplay, you would have a 200ms window in which either the creeps wouldn't be there and then suddenly appear, or they would initially be there and after 200ms disappear or become corpses. Also, as a last factor, League is designed to run even in low end PCs, and having the clients constantly calculating animation offsets and requesting updated 'vision' to the server every 5 or 10 ms would be unfeasible both client and server side.
Pre-rendering and preemptively giving clients data they don't yet need facilitates cheating, but is pretty much unavoidable in an online, fast-paced game in which every millisecond counts...
Sorry for the big text, btw, as a Software Engineer I couldn't keep myself from thinking about it to understand why they would deliver unnecessary information like that.

This means that at all times, the entire map is, to some degree, loaded (this also helps with things like jungle monsters, global abilities, client-server sync, etc.). Because of this, it's fairly easy for external programs to zoom out your game. All the information is already loaded and visually rendered, you just need your screen to show more of it.

He has so much info that he is disconnected from the game itself, like seeing yourself play in third person. So he loses sense of time and movespeed etc, prompting him to do a move because he "knows" where the jungler is, but he stops thinking further because his senses are overloaded, and fails to realise that the jungler can actually cut him off and kill him.
I don't know if people understand that feeling of seeing yourself playing in third person, feeling disconnected from your actions, you actually put yourself in a haze to block off the excess info but you can't chose which one goes through, so gamesense stops at a base level, like say "oh the jungler is botside doing his camps, i know he is there" is stopped from branching into "he can actually walk from his wolves to the blue and prevent me from going away if i try to go behind the bot tower.

Technically if you look at their runes and stats, you could memorise or otherwise calculate every cd in the game. If you make that information easy to access, it removes more of the game knowledge requirement and turns it into game sense requirement. How much can you actually use the information you have? We can clearly see here all the info being processed for this player and still their lack of game sense gets them killed several times and they make several bad plays.

  • @apa5749
    @apa5749 Год назад +1

League has way less cheaters compared to other games especially CSGO or PUBG because you don't actually need an anti-cheat system to prevent cheating. in FPS games like CSGO or CoD they don't just have one simple type of hack, it can be wallhack, aimbot, recoil, and enemy locations on the minimap. each of these cheats have its own usefulness.
meanwhile in league, the only cheat that is "worth" using is scripting to dodge enemy skillshots and predict enemy movements. you don't need things like enemy jungler location on the map, just watch your map and use common sense. when someone is scripting in your game, it will be too obvious to the 9 other players and they can report. if you turn off auto-dodge then what's the point of using cheat software in league in the first place?
that's why cheating in League vs cheating in FPS games are different.

To shortly explain the spectator cam thing. So long as these scripts are running something that is allowed within the parameters of the game, the game doesn't necessarily detect it instantly. That's how a lot of scripts/cheats in Rainbow Six work as well. They basically allow a player to have a game mechanic that wouldn't otherwise be possible be running. Like, cheaters used to use aimbot in combination with where the spectator would spawn during a custom match to become superman, get basically against the skybox, and use their aimbot to kill all players on your team off rip

The information scraping is fairly easy - the script calculates XP range by going off of public information, and within that range if a minion dies then the XP is tracked for those within range. It's pretty simple really, as a human you could do this too if you had eyes on mid all game and did the calculations yourself. The script just does this for you so you can focus on your own lane like a human would.

    1. Script isn't going to place position you correctly in team fights.
    2. It's not going to tell you to group or go bot for dragons.
    3. League 24/7 is being updated every 2 weeks, a minor update could completely crash the script or make it detectable.
What's worse than Scripts? Plat 4 players who afk / Grief over 1 death.

  • @owndbySora
    @owndbySora 2 года назад +1

THE RARITY of SCRIPTERS in League is no more in this Season. in Smurf Q every secound game AT LEAST there are 1-3 scripters. Any high elo player can tell that, myself detect scripters by movement in literlly 3secounds. ALSO i know for a fact that before recent Banwave, 2/5 or AT LEAST 1/5 of Master - Challenger on EUW were scripting. A couple did it OBVIOUSLY the most just used the info they got from it. Because scripts are kinda far developed, as far as i know is that they ONLY get BANNED manually. So if a rioter looks into the account and CANT detect ANYTHING The account remains EVEN if everyone knows that guy is scripting by his Gameplay.

A bot will also be able to calculate lethal ranges perfectly almost like having a Pyke execute bar for your combos since you know enemy HP and armor/MR rating you know the exact damage you will do, they just purposefully don't let the bots take full advantage of all that information because a player wouldn't or couldn't, it would also require some insane connection and processing power to be able to play that bot but if you could make and use the bot it would be unbeatable in 1v1 the only thing you can't code are team decisions those are a lot harder to make.

It is pretty easy from an access perspective. The information is not hidden because it can be calculated.
So, for example, if you track - HP minions, you add the condition if the hp is > than the auto-attack -print object in red.
So you are notified when the auto will automatically kill the minions. It is a huge advantage, but you can also add other conditions like if an attack from other minions, for example, is cast, you can display the HP after the attack land before it lands.
Certain things cannot be changed. Otherwise, you change the core of the code, and it will be detected, or it is unscriptable like the Range of the autos, items, and stuff.
If you check the bot game, you have turret range, for example, or if you press the "attack button" you see your range these are in-game features, and you can always see it.
regarding the auto-dodge is the same process you have the info you can let it calculate and input an auto order to move sideways when some vicinity procs.

2:29 the reason why league has "no cheaters" is because everything in the game is server sided, cheats in other games happen because parts of the game are done on the client's side, anything that is client-sided can be changed. So it's not Riot being "good" at what they do, it's just how the communication between Client - Server is designed. Other games need to have sections done client-side because lag is a lot more apparent, in League because of how the movement system works, it's hard to tell whether your action has a 2ms delay (because of the time it takes to travel to server, server to process, and return if the action is valid) but in other games, like first person shooters, a 2ms delay on pressing W is a lot more apparent and would feel unplayable - in this case the movement would be done client-side and would be prone to cheating.
Edit: The "2ms delay" was an estimate :)

The reason there are fewer cheaters in league is because it doesn't really help. If you're playing games like PUBG or CS:GO then aimbots can basically win you the game, add in wallhacks and constant vision/outlines of the enemy players and it's just freelo. In league you can aimbot with characters like Xerath and gain a ton of extra knowledge with the timers and stuff but you as the player still have to make the correct decisions based on that knowledge.
The other thing that is completely being missed here is the amount of wintrading, which just skips the need for cheating or even the need to play well.

About the camera thing... They probably found an exploit to activate the Xerath Ult camera at all times.
The code for the camera is most likely always there in the game (even when there's no Xerath in the game itself) so they found a way to activate it most likely editing the games RAM, setting it to True or some shit like that.
Or they just found a way to unlock the camera max zoom, again, most likely editing the games RAM.
Most of Client values can be changed like that cus its inefficient/would introduce lag for players if they where synced with the Server.
I remember something called LeagueSharp a few years ago that made an C# API for League Scripts and it was very very easy to use as a programmer, I tried it to understand a little bit more about how it works (btw, I think this one specifically doesn't exist anymore cus Riot won against them in court, I believe around 11 million dollars at the time). This tool was basically a way to inject any C# script made with their API into the game client.
I don't play the game and I tried coding a script with it and tested it vs bots. Don't come @ me. I don't even like or play the game... was more interested in the tech behind it.
If anyone in here have ever watched "RATIRL", when he talks about "Spacegliding" he is referring to a very famous script for adcs where you just need to hold SPACE bar and it plays for you... It will farm creeps automatically, it will dodge skills (it can dodge even skills like Lucian Q which is almost impossible to dodge manually) and it will kite towards your cursor with perfect timing between autos.

when i played with a 49in super ultrawide 32:9 samsung monitor you go to nvidia control panel and make a new resolution and leauge picks it up as a usable resolution and you can see so much more it might be the same for how zoomed out it is for him

If I were to ever use something like that, I'd want the zoom option, the auto-attack and tower range indicators, and the ability/summoner CD icons. Everything else is just in the way. wouldn't want the script to control aiming or movement. Although I've seen scripts that can time Ezreal/Jinx/Ashe ults to execute low-hp targets the instant they recall, which is pretty hilarious.

the screen being zoomed out i think its because it's on a ultra wide monitor like a 34 inche curved one because mine i can zoom out that much it adds like an extra 20% map

I once scripted in League back in 2016, the huge amount of information on screen only is dumb. This player can just toggle off what is unecessary and just focus on normal gameplay while having skill shots direction.
There is also a huge flaw in scripting, every melee champions are most not affected by most of the scripting stuff because they mostly have target ability. The only thing that puts them in disadvantage is that you are always revealed on screen thats it.

I can definitely say it’s almost impossible to create complex scripts to move perfectly for you in league because riot implanted an anti-cheat system in 2015 that can detect inhuman cpm (clicks per minute) and the counter to this was to set a delay between each click (auto pathing) or to toggle on/off high cpm usage for certain situations (dodging abilities).
Edit: I have never used scripts against other players these were all used to auto level accounts in bot games.

This is false. It is easy to humanize movement in a script, but it is easier to be a bad script developer and to never consider such a thing.

We can thank blitz and other third parties being allowed. These scripts apparently work on the same loophole that these programs work, it isn't a cheat infused in the game, it's almost an overlay.

How can he say he never saw within the game the camera zoomed out that much? You get that every time with jhin or Xerath R... Regardless, the cheat obviously changes client information and so it can set the camera at whatever zoom lvl desired. The cheat also reads the client data overseeing the entire map to keep track of summoners. As for the skill levels it is just an extrapolation based on the champ items and how much damage it did when using the ability. The cheat does not know what is happening in the fog of war either as that information is not available to the client but it does some guess work. In general there is a serious overload of useless information like ability ranges and movement directions, any player worth their salt knows the ranges by heart. But there are some nice things that the cheat does have that I would like to use like: modified minion hp bar, summoner spell cooldowns and the zoomed out camera.

added on, it's harder to cheat in league because you have to build items. You don't do enough damage at the beginning so you have to rely heavily on game sense if you want to get fed. Most trades in lane is being hyper aware of your enemy, your positioning, and how much you can do without them killing you. So it's only reliable if you have good game sense as well, and not as simple as cheaters in other games.

Unlikely. Some things like that are possible and have been done before, but they get patched. Things like auto-critting via aa-cancel or getting all your tower gold at minute 1.

only reason i would script is like putting cs and stuff like that on to help it make me improve in that area and get used to moving and dodging in that way
