Mam actually equity shareholders are entitled to attain bonus stock arise by the company free of cost. In this regard their ownership upon company enhance. And if possible dividend made for these equity shareholders at the end of company profit then ultimately their dividend will be greater then before due to added bonus stock. But Preferences shareholders haven't right to attain the bonus stock at all. But if deeply judge then in term of issuing bonus stocks to equity shareholders, there is again benefit for the company to start retaining more and more earning in shape of equity capital by giving loolipop of extra and extra bonus stocks. And furthermore equity shareholders have real sense entity ownerships as they are closely involved in every particular important decision, in term of voting, or changing board of director etc

Assalamualaikum of my knowledge- preference share holders ko fixed rate me dividend milta hai... Kitna bhi fayda ho company ko.. but Equity share holders ko risk zada rehta hai to dividend bhi mostly zada hi milta hai (zada profit hone pr)....
Equity shares---- High risk me high return ke chances bhi rehte hain
