  • The National Robotarium is committed to:
    • Growing the UK's robotics talent and skills base;
    • Collaborating with industry to identify and implement robotic solutions;
    • Developing advanced robotic systems to help people do things better;
    Recently, a team of Masters students from Heriot-Watt University undertook a paid internship to rapidly develop an innovative robotic solution for a real-world industry challenge. Partnering with the Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world-leader in serving science, the team were tasked with developing a proof-of-concept that leverages robotic and automated technologies to enhance the safety, efficiency, and productivity of the company's operations.
    This project provided the students with invaluable experience, working alongside a major industrial partner on a practical test case. It significantly enhanced their skills, expanded their professional networks, and deepened their understanding of real-world applications of robotics.
