Can't wait to see the storm from last night. Squaw is def a big mountain then they added in Alpine... I've been up there for years and never snowboarded down K-22 or anything on that part of the mountain, I go right up the middle and around that area... but I have done the famous backside... problem with that place is that when there is a big storm on the weekends or holidays it is super crowded with so many people, people from SF because it's 3 hours a away, so on the weekends if there are crowds you want to hit up Homewood and during the week you want to do Squaw... try Granite Chief are and the Siberia Bowls but only on days with fresh snow and not too many people because it will probably get tracked out... the backside has much less of a crowd because it's hard to get to, I rode most of that on my butt to be honest. But be safe because it's a mountain with a lot of rocks and cliffs. The secret to Tahoe is to come up around Valentines day, it has the best snow then... and you want to stay a week and hope you catch a storm in the middle of the week because the crowds can't get off work, and you can do night skiing too... I would like a honest comparison between Tahoe and Utah when you are done hopefully. Like I said I've been going up there for years and only gone to Squaw, Northstar, Homewood... Homewood will give you short runs but full of lake effect powder and less of a crowd so its like fresh powder every run.

How was the weather today? I was at Northstar this morning braving the wind and snow/rain. Kinda wished I would’ve waited one more day to hit the slopes.

I’m a nurse who can schedule their own shifts. During ski season my wife and I work Friday - Sunday. As someone just consistently is getting out on the weekdays, how much happier are you now versus skiing primarily on weekends? Fuck weekends lol.

Weekdays are definitely rad! I don’t mind the weekends honestly but it’s just great to get to ski more often!

Caution was wise -- local died and shoot 75 in the ice last season - he didn’t have a helmet on and hit a tree.
I am an CR Johnson died in the ‘light towers’, just off the C2 ridge below the Slot a few years back.
