Thank you so much for this video. I had already bought the LED kit and fitted everything. I left these Map Lights until last and foolishly popped out the Retainer Ring that holds this light into the Headlining. Maybe too over confident from doing all the others. Then realized I can’t simply change the Bulb without pulling the Headlining. Oh no ! Start searching RUclips ! I found your vid and was following and started the lowering of the Headlining. Then realized there was a Part 2. At that point I decided not to go ahead and carefully put it all back ! I’m good with the slightly dim map lights 😅 I really like the way you explain all the details. Well done 👍
Great job on the video, I was motivated to change these but now I am left wondering why dodge designed it this way and whether it's worth the effort. For an extra 75 cents they could have made it a twist lock housing in the headliner, so you just twist counterclockwise and the bulb housing drops out from headliner, replace bulb and twist back in clockwise. Would take 5 seconds to replace bulbs.

The stock pod lights suck but I'm willing to live with them instead of taking apart the entire car to swap out two little bulbs. Jesus Christ.
