First run for the game. For the early worlds I kept one death in a level if I died, while later I decided to edit all my deaths out the best I could.
When i began the game didn't know I needed to collect all kong letters to unlock the temples to later on. If i missed a temple out on my first go through the world, it is added to the end of Part 8.
I also didn't know about shaking the controller to hit the bosses to finish them off -

Greene Gaming the game is not on switch, you must be thinking of the Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze port which is the sequel to Returns. Although Returns was ported to the 3Ds 3 years later

I used to love this game when I was a kid. This is literaly all I would do for hours each day. Me and my cousins used to compete at this game. Thanks for bringing back my favourite childhood video game, you've definitely earned my sub. Keep up the great work dude!

Some people will hate to hear this, but I think that DKC Returns is a superior side-scrolling platformer to New Super Mario Bros Wii.
I think you are right. I also think that in many ways it's better than the original DKC.
the original is way harder though, I 200%ed Returns in a week and a couple days, I haven't even beat the original
I love them both, been playing each DK and Mario a long time. They may be CLOSE enough to compare but they're also different enough. I'm not sure I could call any superior. They just are what they are.

For those who don't know: You don't need all the puzzle pieces to get 100% in this game. To get 100% all you need is to get all the KONG letters in every stage.

This game was so nostalgic for me. Donkey Kong Country was my very first video game (except I was six and just referred to it as “The monkey game” lol), and this remake stuck so well to the original roots and gameplay

considero que es muy buen juego y es dificil comparar con los donkey kong clasicos, yo consiedero que aquellos son muy superiores, y es que tambien la mano de RARE se nota, pero estos de hoy son bastante buenos y se ve que tratan de respetar todo lo que los originales, aunque me hubiera gustado que los dos personajes se pudieran usar tal coom los de antes y que no solo se pueda utilizar por ejemplo a didy para volar.

You know, I always find every puzzle piece in each of every level and I always enter the temple first before entering the boss level.
This is definitely your first playthrough. You should be able to get everything the first time through like most of the other playthroughs on this channel.

I just ordered this for my 3ds. Some are saying it's easy, some are saying it's hard. I hope it's hard.
This game is awesome. I got this game on release day and played it with my friend the same day. It has replay value if you miss stuff which makes me wish we didn't complete the game 100% on the first play through.

That was Pre-rendered 3D graphics. This games uses full 3D polygons.

As a gamer from way back when, I was nervous when revisiting a childhood friend in DK. COUNTRY RETURNS recaptures the essence of DK on SNES, but.......... it doesn't take any steps past the original 3.

Maybe it is just me but I found this game so difficult to play. I'm always dying. Especially on the beach levels.

just keep practicing man. practice doesn't make you perfect (because perfect is non- existent which i am honestly surprised doesn't clash with the phrase "you can do anything") but you will get better eventually, the game is beatable and you also can get some help from Cranky Kong in the shop if needed.

When I was checking my old play time message it's said I played this on 2013 but I only remember my dad getting it for me on 2019
This looks really good ... but still not as good as the original. The original will always be the best to be honest, and not just in Donkey Kong.
